PSA to all brides: HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER.
When my husband and I got engaged, ALL the brides in my life told me to hire a wedding planner. The ones that didn't really regretted it...
, and the ones that did fully appreciated their planner. So, I took their advice and began my search. Before I thought about venues, or guest lists, I ventured to find a planner and I am SO THRILLED to have found Sherine!
Sherine is caring, thoughtful, and filled with love for what she does. My wedding was a Chinese-Indian fusion wedding. On top of the intense traditions, I had to navigate the requests of my MIL and mom. Sherine helped me execute their requests while keeping the events grounded in my husband and my style. It still felt like OUR wedding even though there were a lot of demands placed on us by family.
Here are some KEY contributions Sherine made to our experience:
1. She helped us visit and narrow down venues - We live in Texas so she met my in-laws at venues and toured with them. She did NOT need to do this, but to make the family a part of the process, she went above and beyond!
2. She helped us SAVE MONEY by introducing us to cost-effective vendors that were a big bang for our buck. Her vendors are amazing <3
3. She was a friend - checking in on us and keeping us updated on things. She isn't like other planners who charge for each call and visit beyond the contract. She will be there for you.
4. She took care of ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS like verifying insurance, making sure the contracts were correct, communicating information to the venue about the various vendors (this is A LOT OF WORK and she handled it all!). If you're a bride thinking, "I'm detail oriented, I can handle this on my own".... let me tell you the amount of emotion and stress that is put into a wedding - You'll want someone on your team taking this off your plate.
But what I truly loved about Sherine is that she went above and beyond.
For her it really isn't about the money. During the week before our wedding, my family hosted a Chinese dinner. Sherine was not paid to work the event, and I invited her to come to enjoy the dinner.
She ended up showing up a day before to help me pin a backdrop (bringing materials for me to use), showing up early to the Chinese venue to help set up (her and her friend set up the entire space so my family didn't have to!). My mom asked her if she could do all this, Sherine took one look at me and saw the panic in my face and said, "Yes, I'll come help. I want this week to be perfect for you, so don't worry." (There isn't enough space in a post for me to even begin to express how amazing this gesture was!)
The fact that she spent her precious time to come and help speaks to her passion for making her brides' lives easier.
Sherine is wonderful; her team is wonderful! If you're a new bride looking for a wedding planner, meet her and see if her personality fits yours. I guarantee you'll have an experience with her that can't be matched by another planner because her work comes from her heart - not from a bottom-line.
Thank you, Sherine, for making the year leading up to our wedding tolerable and for making the week of our wedding and our wedding day amazing. We are so glad to have met you!
After several interviews with other wedding planners, we decided to go with Sherine for our Dec. 10, 2017 wedding and it has been nothing short of amazing! Her design skills are to...
p notch and were so impressed the first time we've seen both our venues. The best part about her is she is such a pleasure to work with and she's extremely generous of the time she spends with you. She even let us borrow a ton of her existing decor which helped our wedding look as great as we wanted it to be. Overall, we're really glad that we chose her and she's definitely worth her price!
The best decision we made was hiring a wedding planner and Sherine was just a ray of sunshine from the moment we met to dropping us off at the end of the night after our wedding ce...
lebration. They are the BEST!!!
I was one of those “I can do this all by myself” type brides. Perfectionist with every bit of detail. But thank God my husband convinced me that I needed a planner so that I don’t lose my mind lol. It came to the month before, I contacted Sherine. We’re from the Bay Area, in California but living in the south of France for 2 years at the time. As he play professional rugby. So it was hard to communicate with the time difference etc. But she was just awesome. We had our video chat and instantly I knew she was the one. Very kind, I can tell we’d work well together. We were all just giving really well. Straight up kinda woman. From it all I made a friend. Sherine was always so chill and knew what to do. Very professional and knowledgeable of everything and so generous and thoughtful of our needs and wishes for our big day. She was our lifesaver. I cannot thank her and her team enough for everything. It felt more like she was family. She saved my butt the morning of my wedding. Everything seemed to just go left and I was trying to get it together. Balled my eyes to my husband and was fearful of my worst nightmare turning into a reality, when my hair and makeup girl didn’t show up. She showed up earlier than I expected and on her way she called me and I told her. She immediately calmed me down. And called one of her assistants to buy me a curling iron & hair supplies. Lmao. Gave me her make up bag and helped me get ready. Calling limo & venues since we were running late she was just so cool and wasn’t annoying me at all. I felt really relaxed and she made sure everything ran smooth! I did not stress at all. Basically everything we wanted and more was a huge success and wouldn’t have been possible without Sherine and her team. She listened to everything and really made it a priority. I felt like I was hanging with my best friend through all of it. A sister. I Love you Zaza & Co. We are so grateful and beyond blessed for all that you guys did for us especially coming in on the month of and taking over. I learned so much from you Sherine, you’re such a beautiful & sweet lady. You guys are phenomenal!!! Definitely recommend you guys to anyone. Never forget it. God bless always and I’ll be watching you girl - your girl Lo & Samu Manoa XOXO 💝💝💝
We hired Sherine for partial planning nearly a year before the big day. I was hesitant about hiring a planner because I am well organized and good at planning myself but I am so gl...
ad I did. Sherine was a god send to us. She was beyond helpful the entire time. Every time we talked I had peace of mind and knew everything would be handled because I had her. She gave me such ease and made sure I had the best day of my life and took time to enjoy it. Her promptness and attention to detail are out of this world. I can't put into words how grateful I am because I truly believe that without her I wouldn't have enjoyed the wedding to the extent I did. Definitely recommend, she is one of a kind.
Two months before our wedding ceremony, we found Sherine to be our wedding planner. At that time we booked our wedding venue and photograhers, but we were clueless of the rest of p...
reparation and felt frustrated and lost, until we had Sherine to help us out! My wife and I love the venue decoration! The flower decoration is gorgeous! And she helped us to decorate the backdrop and set up the dining table, they look beautiful. She helped us to find the professional DJ and MC who fulfilled our need, specifically she found an MC who can speak Mandarin, Cantonese and English fluently which was exactly what we were looking for.
During the day of the event, she coordinated the whole rundown and made the wedding go smoothly. She coordinated with the MC, DJ, catering service group, venue coordinator, photographers and our pastor so that everyone was on the same page. The wedding was our dream wedding!! Thank you Sherine!
I just got married a week ago and Sherine made it all perfect. Sherine worked with me and my fiancee for about 8 weeks before our weeding.
Our wedding consisted of 125 guests and ...
was very grand. She made it all an absolute breeze. I coudn't have had the time I had without her at my wedding. Wedding planning is a full time job, and Sherine kept us on track with things I should be aware of as well as things I might want to reconsider.
She made crunch time very easy and seamless. Sherine was available for us for over 2 months leading up to the wedding, whenever we asked her to be. She was very responsive on email, and even faster on the phone.
On the day of wedding Sherine was very attentive, kind and most importantly she understood the event and what we wanted out of it. There was never a time where we felt like she didn't get it, or that we had something to worry about.
About a month before the wedding Sherine asked for each vendor and representative that she could contract. She made sure everyone was on the same page.VERY HELPFUL!
She was really aware of so many details and had great questions I wouldn't even think of to ask. Closer to the wedding she sent out a timeline to everyone and made sure all the vendors were within their time limits.
On the day of the wedding I didn't worry about anything... Where everyone is, what the place looks like and who needs to be where at what time.
All our vendors were prompt and knew Sherine if they had any questions.
My fiancee was very picky about flowers, decorations, tables and chairs and how the wedding would look like. Everything on our wedding ran on time, the ceremony, cocktail hour, salads and food were served on time so all our family and wedding party enjoyed the day without one worry.
Wedding day was the best day of my life and if you want someone who knows it all Sherine is the right person, I highly recommend Sherine and Zaza and Co :)
My husband and I hired Sherine Zaza as our day of wedding coordinator for 3/4/17. We had most of our planning and designing already done by the time we hired her (2 months before t...
he big day), but she gave amazing suggestions that were so helpful! She became our point of contact for our 7 different vendors (which was a task in itself) for me to create a wedding timeline, get paperwork signed from them for our venue and relay any questions they had. She definitely eased our mindset that everything would go smoothly. The night before our wedding, Sherine called us down to our reception venue to show us a surprise she had been working on...her and one of her assistants had designed a rememberance table of all of our lost loved ones. My husband and I lost it...it was so beautifully designed with flowers, twinkling lights and a sign. I (the bride) had recently lost both of my parents, so seeing pictures of them right in the center, along with our other lost family members gave me a sense of peace. She will never know how important that was to us. I can't thank her enough. Like I said earlier, we didn't hire Sherine for her decorating services, but if this was just a small glimpse of what she can do...I would highly recommend her for decorating your next event too! On the day of our wedding she brought an assistant with her, Lauren, who was also very sweet and professional. Any question we had or last minute thought the morning of, they were on it! They even had little headsets to communicate between my two venues. I thought that was pretty cool. Everything went so smoothly, I honestly can't even think of anything we would've wanted differently. What I think we loved most about Sherine was that she went above and beyond her duties. After the wedding, while we were on our honeymoon out of the country, Sherine had contacted us to let us know of all of the loose ends she had tied up with our venue and vendors. I guess things were missing, forgotten, needed to be returned ASAP, etc. and she took care of everything so we wouldn't be bothered on our honeymoon. We knew nothing about any of this until we were told everything was already taken care of. This definitely shows what a good person she is both personally and professionally. We would definitely recommend using Sherine as your wedding planner/decorator/day-of-coordinator!
Dear, thank you once more for my special day! I have no words for your professionalism!
Best planner hands down! I'm so glad we had the opportunity to work with Sherine. She is really kind and considerate and that is a rare quality these days. Her strengths are design...
and management. Having many different facets of our wedding we needed a real leader and someone who could handle it all. Very pleased with the outcome, I seriously could not have enjoyed my wedding without her. Many Thanks to you and your staff, everyone is so loving and professional. Lauren was a doll and Neven was the sweetest.
I cannot speak highly enough about Zaza & CO! Sherine made my special day stress free and I thank her with all of my heart. She offered valuable advice and coordinated my wedding...
exactly how I wanted it to proceed. I just needed to say "I do" and left the details to Sherine! The most organized and planned amazing day ever-thank you Sherine! Much love to you for all of your hard work!
I heard about Zaza&co. Through friends and actually saw her in a wedding. Our wedding date was 6/24/2014. We have a huge family and crowed control was the main reason for bringing ...
a planner on. 400 guests and I was in trouble. Sherine Zaza was our planner and she handled it all. I really could not have done it without her help. Thank you, Thank You for making our day possibility.
We had the most wonderful experience with Sherine, she really went above and beyond. I wanted someone who really took the time for details and flawless execution. She designed a un...
ique center piece that brought our indian themed wedding together. Talk about stress, I never knew planning alone would be so stressful. My whole body was itchy. As soon as Sherine started to get to work I was amazed that I could take a step back. I wanted to control all of what goes into my wedding and I Did. She would ensure that my dreams came true with her help. Many planners ive delt with were controlling and tried to convince, thats why sherine is different. She would ask and make sure I had what I loved and she woukd do whatever she could to accommodate.
Sherine is a ray of sunshine! I absolutely loved working with her in my wedding planning. She always did her vey best to accommodate my every need. Ever detail came out way better ...
than I expected it to be. She personally drove me to places, and welcomed me into her home to finish last minute flower arrangements. She absolutely goes above and beyond to make sure that the bride and groom are both happy and within the limits of their budget! Sherine was always on top of her stuff and on time. She was very professional and was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had! I absolutely 100% would choose her again if I had the chance to do it all over again!
Sherine is simply the best. She was recommended to me by a family friend and I'm so glad she was. Not only is she creative, knowledgeable, attentive, and organized, she is also ver...
y caring. I truly felt like she was family through out the entire process. Sherine knows how to handle situations on the spot, and relieve any stress related to the event. I'm so happy and grateful I had her help and experience on the most important day of my life. You will not regret selecting Sherine for all your important event planning.
We heard about Sherine Zaza, she is well known in our community. Her honesty and attention to such detail is literally unmatched. As a groom I did not expect her to be so attentive...
to what I want, people forget we are part of the bridal party as well. We got married in Four season Hotel. I do not like weddings that are all about gaudy decor on a show up of sorts. My wife and I had pleanty of disagreements and Sherine really helped us come to a middle ground. She even listened to my wife and helped her with a million questions. I could say she was her best friend by all the phone text and calls they corresponded. During the event we did not have to set up or worry about any detail, when she is there it's like your off the hook. She packed up after and put the stuff in our car. Honestly I chose to write this review because those debating on doing it yourself are risking your day. Enjoy it stress free and have Zaza & co take care of it. Small price to pay. If I'm spending a hundred grand you better believe I'm enjoying it. Thank you Sherine for a flawless execution
Sherine is known in my community for her professionalism in event planning. When I got engaged to my now husband, I was referred to her by many of my friends. Sherine met with my ...
husband and I and we discussed the terms of our contract. She took the time to get to know us and our personal style and taste so she could help out as much as she can. Since we were on a budget, we didn't go for the full planning package but chose to utilize Sherine's expertise on the day of the wedding. Even so, Sherine maintained her contact with us throughout the planning process, prompting me when I should complete certain tasks and helping me find vendors when Google wasn't cutting it. It was a very stressful time as I am known to be very picky but she was very patient, kind and understanding and guided me through the entire process. The days leading up to our wedding, Sherine contacted all of the vendors, double, triple and quadruple checked the timeline, took all the props/decor/favors out of my hands and to the venue herself and even stayed during the setup to make sure everything was done the way I wanted it. One thing I recommend to any future bride is to be very specific with what you want. There were times when I was vague about decor and whatnot and it didn't help Sherine much, but when I would call or meet up with her, she would help me narrow my choices down and be specific in my wants without compromising aesthetics for a lower price.
Our wedding day could not have been more perfect without Sherine's help. She handled everything from the smooth transition of our timeline, to any questions/concerns the vendors had (DJ or photographers), to any problems that arose with guests. The night was so beautiful, stress free and exactly as I always dreamt it would be. Sherine was calm and collected the entire time and would make sure I had everything I needed and her professionalism was praised by the staff at the venue and my family alike. After my husband and I left she helped with the cleanup and coordinated with my family the details so my husband and I wouldn't be bothered with the details as we were leaving for our honeymoon the next day.
I absolutely 100% could not have imagined doing all of this on my own. Sherine is so down to earth and friendly. During this process, we grew close together and I feel I can count her as one of my friends. She has seen me in my highest and lowest and stayed supportive and judgement free nonetheless. I think this really speaks to her character as a person and professional. She really exceeded all expectations and I couldn't imagine having done this by myself. I will definitely recommend her to all my friends and family and look forward to using her services in the future!
Thank you Zaza & Co. for all that you do. Sherine Zaza was the first wedding planner I have met that really cares for her brides. I had a little ole tear in my wedding dress by th...
e zipper. It would no longer zip at all. I was devisated and cried running all of my make up off. She made one phone call and within 30 min she has a seamstress named Alma come to my hotel. Luckily it was early on. She fixed my dress enough so I could wear it and people could not tell. I seriously till this day have not met anyone who magically can fix things. She touched up my make up and told me that things happen, you should be glad it happened now instead of later, and we both laughed.....
We took the full package and had our Wedding at a Country Club in Laguna, she transformed our venue into a pure reflection of us. Her hand made center pieces were seriously out of this world, oh and our favors they were so beautiful. All my friends were amazed how unique and special everything was. Her skill as an Event planner is something out of "Mary Popins". You all got to try her.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart !
