Wedding Dance Specialist
Bud Walters is a master of his craft, a patient teacher, and cares deeply about your success. The improvement my fiancé and I experienced over the course of our four lessons was nothing short of remarkable. For us, our first dance went from something we were nervous about to something where we felt like "we might just surprise our guests" in a good way!
Bud focuses on the fundamentals first, things that are easy to learn but take effort to master. We found that becoming even a little decent at these things made a night vs. day level difference from where we started. Make no mistake, you must practice!
But if you do practice, Bud is willing to help you beyond the lessons. He wants you to succeed, and if you're putting in the effort, he's willing to Facetime you and help you in your dance.
In short: Bud exudes passion, excellence, and a sincere commitment to sharing the art of dance. If you are the type of couple to listen and try, then I can't recommend a better dance instructor. He (and yourselves) will exceed your expectations.

Planning a wedding is often time-consuming and stressful ... take time for yourself and have fun learning your spotlight dance with your fiancé. No contracts, no high pressure sales. Success in just three lessons.
This is what makes me a little different from the rest of the studios. All lessons are private. No contract to sign or high pressure sales. You can learn a complete dance with turns and dips for $85 per couple for one full hour of private dance lessons. That is only $255.00 for a complete dance. Pay as you take each lesson. You can assure success , in most cases, in just THREE lessons. Most appointments are on Tues, Wed. or Thurs. 11am to 9pm I will teach you as fast as you are capable of learning. Your lesson should be fun not fear of high pressure sales. With over 66 years of experience I can teach you whatever you need . I hope this answers a lot of your questions. Thanks for your interest. We felt confident going into our big day with what we had learned (plus some home practice), and Bud taught us dance steps we’ll continue to use in the future. One of the highlights was that Bud even told us the perfect moment for a photo, and sure enough, we got the shot he told us to pose for. Bud also takes care to make sure each dance lesson is specific to you, the dancers. There's no blindly learning 1 or 2 moves here! Bud took the time to modify a turn to fit us better when one of them was not working, and the modified move was one of our favorites and got lots of compliments from our guests! Bud even taught us a bit of swing at the end of our third lesson which was also very fun and made us even more interested in continuing dancing together.
We left feeling very confident and excited for our wedding dance. Working on our moves with Bud was also a great distraction from the hecticness of wedding planning and something we looked forward to each week. Overall, we absolutely recommend Bud to anyone looking to learn dance for any occasion!

I am very happy to hear you were happy with your lessons and felt confident with your first dance on your special day. I always love when i can give alternate suggestions for a dance move. Dancing is a personal thing, not cut and dried steps. I want my students to feel and look comfortable while dancing. Not two uncomfortable stick figures.

operly! And I do mean TEACH; he doesn’t choreograph you in any way. Bud TEACHES you to dance so you can dance to any song at all. It really makes the dance look impromptu and spontaneous. We would recommend Bud to anyone and everyone!

ballroom dance almost 40 years ago as we prepared for our own wedding. Now we’re back for refresher classes along with our daughter and her fiancée for their own upcoming wedding. What fun evenings we had learning steps for wedding dances that helped us feel comfortable and ready for the reception. His years of experience, professionalism, sense of humor and patience are so enjoyable. Bud’s dance studio and garden are beautiful, and we left with lovely memories for a lifetime! us had any dancing background so we were a bit out of our comfort zone but Bud immediately helped us out of our shell. Bud’s knowledge and expertise in ballroom dancing was evident and he was able to teach in different ways to ensure we understood what we were supposed to be doing. It was a fun experience and now we know how to do several spins and turns if we ever find ourselves needing to show off our new moves!

OVID so we had to miss our second appointment. Bud didn't make us feel bad for being behind and was able to combine our final two sessions to teach us all but one thing, which was incredible. He also thinks ahead on how to prepare you for other aspects of your wedding besides the first dance such as how to have your dress bustled and helpful things to tell your DJ. He even offered to let us FaceTime him outside of our lesson when practicing. I have had multiple friends take lessons with Bud, and I plan to recommend it to my next engaged friend in Cincinnati as well!
