Honestly, I had almost given up on makeup artists because no one seemed to be able to do my makeup the way I wanted. I had stopped going to makeup artists altogether, but Peggy completely changed my mind! She did such an incredible job, and I was beyond happy with the results. She truly understood what suited me and made me feel beautiful and confident. I can honestly say that I have finally found my makeup artist, and I don’t think I’ll ever go to anyone else again! I have been a makeup artist in South Carolina for a number of years, but my career started in the Tri-State Area. I've done a lot of exciting work on various projects, and I have always found myself strongly drawn to making people feel good about themselves and happy. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than working with someone and seeing their excitement at their transformation. As a Bridal Makeup Artist, I want my Brides to feel self-confident and beautiful.

As a more mature bride, I was especially concerned about finding someone who knew how to work with aging skin and apply makeup in a flattering way. Peggy definitely put me at ease. She knew exactly how to enhance my features without making the makeup look heavy.
The most important thing to me was that I still looked like myself just a little more enhanced. Peggy absolutely accomplished that. I just felt like the best version of myself!

I did five trials from different vendors and each time my comment was “it does not look like me or I look like a mannequin”
When Peggy did my trial, I knew based on the applications and techniques she used, paired with meticulously chosen products to showcase my skin color, she was the one for me.
My makeup looked so natural but highly sophisticated at the same time. I don’t know how to explain it but it definitely looks like me but a sophisticated version of me.
It was hot on my wedding day but my makeup stayed, no smudging, not a single touch up was needed throughout the event.

She was thorough and honest, telling me her thoughts but also asking mine all along the way... the end result was exactly what I had been looking for in my wedding look.
I don't live near Myrtle Beach, so my planning and selecting of vendors has been very heavily dependent on reviews and recommendations. Peggy (You. Only Better), was not only recommended and highly rated through The Knot, but by my venue as well as our photographer... they did not steer me wrong. er if I’m feeling dressy. However, I had no reason to be nervous! Peggy was so great. She explained all the products she was using and how she would apply them. She also explain how some of the colors and products will appear on my skin tone. She listened to everything I wanted and kept checking to ensure I was happy with the results. Peggy also added notes to her file for some of the little things i would like to do differently on my wedding day. The makeup overall came out great and I would definitely recommend Peggy. I can’t wait to have her be a part of my wedding day.

ree. Everyone had plenty of time to relax and regroup before photos which was so appreciated. During the trial, Peggy asked for my feedback along the way and made sure to show the progress as she did certain elements. She made a point to explain all of the products she used and sent me and my girls off with lipgloss and sweat blotters (May in SC!). Peggy also did my grandmothers makeup and made her feel like an absolute star. I cannot recommend this team enough!!

at I was actually happy with her work, and not brushing me off or doing a "rush" job. The day of, she arrived, ON TIME, because I see not all actually arrive on time, based on previous reviews when we were looking, so this is very important to mention, got all set up, and got right to work on the girls. Everyone was happy with how their make up lasted throughout the day. We had pictures at 3:30, and the ceremony was at 6p! I would recommend hiring Peggy!

and arrived 15 minutes before scheduled. In fact, she even arrived at the venue before I did! She provided a perfect map of my face and used products and colors to elevate my natural beauty. She did the same for my sister (my only bridesmaid, hello Covid brides!) and best and most hilariously of all, gave us instruction on what she called Proper Crying Posture, so we wouldn’t ruin our faces with our tears! Peggy worked like a professional but felt like a friend. I would recommend her to anyone in the Myrtle Beach area looking for bridal make up. Thank you Peggy!
