I first contacted Julia over the summer after reading countless positive reviews on her and her husband, Soren's, company and photography services that they offer. I then emailed J...
ulia, and later scheduled a Skype call to speak with her more at length. Julia proved to be a wonderful listener, after she was wanting to hear more about our vision for both our wedding and engagement shoot. After speaking with Julia, and later my fiancé, we set-up an appointment to meet with her at her studio. Once we met Julia we instantly loved her personality. She was warm and friendly, and clearly displayed a passion for her business. We also learned that she is an experienced photographer, which made us feel good about wanting to work with Julia, Soren, and their team of associates.
My fiancé and I had a wonderful time at our engagement shoot! Julia and Soren made the experience fun for the both of us, and they worked very well together as a team. We loved having the opportunity to shoot at two different locations, and also appreciated getting to change outfits for the second location. We got beautiful shots, and credit this lovely husband and wife team for capturing photos of us that we will treasure for a lifetime together.
We highly recommend Julia, Soren, and their associates at You Me Photography for your wedding photography needs and wants! It’s easy to get caught up in being able to choose from so many different photographers, but we promise that if you select Julia and Soren, that you will be incredibly happy with your decision!
Where do I even start!? I knew from the first moment we met with Julia that we just clicked! We were so impressed with her work and talent to capture those small, meaningful moment...
s. Her attention to detail is amazing. My fiancé and I had never taken professional pictures before and she immediately made us feel at ease at our engagement session and made it such a fun, light-hearted atmosphere. We were blown away to see all of the beautiful moments she captured! We highly recommend You Me Photography and cannot wait to have Julia and her team be part of our Big Day! <3
YouMe Photography are professional but yet personable. They will set you at ease which always results in better photos. Your smiles won't look forced because you will truly feel ...
happy and comfortable with the work they are doing. I wish I could upload a photo I took of the bride and photographer in a quiet moment, just talking before the wedding. Most importantly, in my opinion, they won't just dump a 1,000 photo into your mailbox and be done with the job. They worked with me to capture the exact photos I wanted afterward. The couple's joy and many unique and very cute unscripted moments were captured by the photographers. Future generations will be able to experience the love and joy felt that day if properly photographed. YouMe Photography will provide you the photos to give them that experience.
First of all, stop browsing and email Julia and her team right now! You have found your photographers.

e one of the most important things to us. I searched a lot of professionals but none of them made my heart beats faster. After stressful months of searching, I found You Me photography on instagram. I couldn't believe how talented their were but I was positive I couldn't afford them.
Our engagement session was nothing short of amazing. My husband hates taking pictures (anything longer than 10 minutes makes him to want to die) but that day he was so comfortable and happy doing it. When we got home he told me it felt like hanging out with friends.
In addition to the high quality photography (which speaks for itself so I will not describe more), they are impressively adaptable; for example, they still quickly obtaining a quality location for photos despite a thunderstorm (none of the bridal party having umbrellas). They were calm, serene, help us out (Julia's associate called me a cab to avoid me to get soaking wet from the rain)
What I have to say is that their are not only amazing professional but people. When it comes to your big day, the last thing you need is more stuff to get worried about and trust me, seeing Julia and her team there is something that you will be relieved of. The engagement session was truly fun, and their professionalism during wedding day chaos went a long way in reducing stress.
We would recommend them as highly as possible and plan to have You Me photography for any of our photography needs in the future.

the day of our wedding and were unable to make all 4 original locations chosen for pictures. You me photography team jumped right in and assisted us with narrowing down what location fitted our vision the best. Thanks to Julia we were able to capture great memories. Couldn't of asked for a better team to complete our day. We would definitely recommend them and plan to use You Me photography for any of our photography needs in the future.

Julia and her husband from You Me Photography were truly amazing. As my fiancé and I were excited and nervous to take our engagement photos these two truly made us feel comfortable...
. It was important to both of us to feel this way as we were able to show our true love for one another, while You Me Photography captured these moments. Not to mention once we received our engagement photos they were absolutely breath taking. Our family and friends can not stop commenting on them and asking us who our photographer is, many comments we have recieved go as "this looks like a magazine cover", and that truly is how amazing their work is. They have many ideas and some you would never think of doing and those are the pictures that are the most stunning. There truly are not enough words to say about how amazing You Me Photography is, the best advise I would say is look at their work and you will be blown away. We can't wait for the Dayton come for them to shoot our wedding. I can only imagine how breath taking those pictures will be with being blown away from our engagement photos! Thank you again for your amazing work.

y. For our engagement photos, we ran into a hiccup when North Avenue Beach was closed for the Air & Water Show practice, I was super disappointed that i wouldn't get our skyline shot but Julia had backup suggestions handy and we ultimately ended up getting a better shot that what I had envisioned. She's a true professional, on the day of the wedding she was calm and totally flexible in making sure I got all the shots I wanted. She was great at telling us exactly what to do but not so we looked super posed. Her photos are absolutely stunning and captured our day perfectly. I've received numerous compliments on the teaser photos we saw right after our wedding and we can't wait to see the full set!

rt of their standard offerings, but Julia was happy to work with us anyway and customize our package. She took the time to find out a bit more about us, our relationship and our style. On the day of, Julia was patient with an initially very emotional bride and offered helpful instruction to both us and our guests throughout the posed shots. Julia had great ideas for the location shots downtown, and was a pleasure to work with overall. She has also been very helpful through the editing process, and we cannot wait to receive our photo album! Thank you, You Me Photography for capturing so many special, beautiful moments on the most important day of our lives together!

gagement session, we knew they would be the right match for us. As someone who knows nothing about photography, Julia provided us with the perfect locations and poses that could not have fit our personalities better. She makes you feel extremely comfortable and made the overall process for us so much fun. We received all the photos back within two weeks and were extremely impressed with just how many great options we now had. She has truly been a pleasure to work with and we could not be happier with our choice in You Me Photography.

She successfully caught on film a beautiful series of candids that allow us to relive that wonderful event, then guided us through a few beautifully framed portraits that memorialize perfectly the special place where our story together began. ove that she had us meet in person a few months before the wedding to go over everything. We also spoke on the phone the week of the wedding and she did a great job of calming my nerves. Also the day of the wedding, when Julia and Soren arrived, they were such a calming presence! Soren brought me a beautiful bunch of sunflowers because my birthday was the same day as my wedding. We had so much fun taking photos throughout the day, and both Julia and Soren were great about making sure we got some amazing sunset pictures during the reception. I can't say enough good things about You Me Photography. Needless to say, the photos they took are breathtaking. I would highly recommend You Me for anyone getting married, and they will definitely be taking photos of our future babies!
Julia met and exceeded our expectations. Not only did she capture every image I requested but she went above and beyond and got some amazing shots we did not expect.

always know something can go wrong. However, I did not expect my wedding dress to rip one hour before the ceremony! Instead of panicking Julia kept everyone calm and offered solutions (above the call of duty!) and got some really cute candids of the hectic experience.
Julia worked with some stressful situations in our wedding - we didn't do a first look so my groom and myself took photos of just the two of us immediately following the ceremony. It was a rushed and yet important time because my main priority as a bride was getting great photos with my groom! The other difficult thing Julia had to work with was the lighting in the church. We were married in an old church in Chicago which didn't allow flashes. I was worried the photos wouldn't turn out but Julia worked her magic and once again exceeded my expectations!
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Julia as a wedding photographer.

a worked with us to find the perfect places for our photos and even went above and beyond to reserve us a table and work with the venue to make sure we had the best spot for pictures!
During the pictures Julia and Sorin made us feel extremely comfortable, by showing us poses to try, find even more amazing backgrounds for our pictures, and encouraging us the whole way! Julia's energy is what made this experience so much fun. She is so passionate about what she does and was never willing to give up on getting the perfect photos!
We are so happy we decided to do our engagement session with Julia and Sorin and we are very excited for them to shoot our wedding as well!

You Me Photography is the absolute BEST!!! After looking through their portfolio, we instantly fell in love with their photography style - they capture raw moments, true emotions,...
with sharp colors, composition and detail.
Julia and her associate/husband Sorin are friendly and easy to work with; so much so that towards the end of our wedding we considered them more like friends. They listen to your requests while also giving great direction and advice.
During the final meeting with Julia before our wedding, we went over a list of must-have photos (which ended up being rather long). Not only did she take every single photo on the list, she also did a great job helping to direct our guests in order to efficiently take each photo.
We are extremely pleased with the way our engagement (June 2015) and wedding photos (May 2016) turned out and can't stop looking through them. Best of all, the moments she captured are memories that will last a lifetime! You will NOT be disappointed one bit if you book them!

agement session and our wedding to set up and prepare. She did a great job of directing our wedding party for group pictures. We got our CDs of pictures very quickly. One of the things I cannot thank Julia enough for is the in depth pictures she took of our ceremony. She caught each special moment, just the raw emotion of the day. I would recommend her to anybody. When our family of two one day grows, we hope to use Julia to capture those precious moments as well.
