- Michelle SnyderOrdained Minister/Wedding OfficiantThis is how it all started: A couple of my friends in Buffalo, NY decided that they were ready to spend the rest of their lives together. They took the time to choose the date, the location, the dress, the flowers, the cake and a million other things. There was one thing that bothered them though. The most important part of the wedding, the officiant who would be sharing that moment with them, seemed out of their hands. They didn’t want to just pick someone who was looking to cash in on their day. We talked about this together and I tried to think of a solution with them. They beat me to it. They asked me to get ordained and officiate for them. They thought that since I was a theatre major I would be a great speaker in front of the crowd and since I was a librarian, I would have access to literature that could help capture how they felt about each other. That was all the convincing it took for me to become a minister! It was an honor, and it was the most beautiful day. Since then I have performed weddings for many different couples, some I’ve known and some I only met a short time before their wedding. I’ve been lucky enough to work in large halls, small bars, and even some family rooms. I meet with every couple first and get to know them so that it’s not just a generic ceremony, it’s yours. As it should be. Always, all ways.

It wasn’t long before other friends and family members asked me to officiate their weddings, which eventually parlayed into my officiating weddings for people referred to me by word of mouth. I have always loved meeting and connecting with new people, and it’s an added bonus to get to share in such a happy occasion with them. remony. Michelle met with us initially when we booked with her. She got to know us and used so many little personal details to add a perfect touch during her words for the ceremony. Additionally, she worked with us via email to develop many components to may our ceremony unique and exactly what we dreamed up including a celtic handfasting which she personalized the reading for us to transition into my father giving a reading. Aside from her phenomenal job as the officiant, she also brought this amazing positive light and energy that you can't really appreciate until you meet her. It really made our day feel so special and radiate love and joy. We got compliments throughout the reception from our guests on how beautiful the ceremony was and how great our officiant was! Honestly not something I thought that much about during wedding planning but when it came to wedding day it truly made such a difference and started the event off in the best way. Michelle's ceremony was absolutely beautiful and all our guests complimented her work all night long. She wrote a beautiful, personalized ceremony that was honestly perfect and she talked as if we had been old friends. Her ability to include all the small things we wanted included as well as surprise us with some funny and heart warming pieces really made our ceremony special and has left us with lasting memories of that moment! Absolutely awesome!
