Our wedding day was nothing short of a fairytale, thanks to talents of the team at Wood Fire Food led by Chef Owner Daniel Sabia. From the first whispers of planning to the final, ...unforgettable bite, their artistry unfolded like poetry.
Wood Fire Food's mastery extended beyond the kitchen to the art of hospitality. The warmth and grace with which they orchestrated every detail made us feel like honored guests in our own love story. The team's dedication and passion were palpable, turning our celebration into an all-day experience that exceeded our wildest dreams.
Initially, our expectation was that The WFF team would cater a casual picnic style lunch and a simple, but elevated, family style dinner. Any other details or elements of our wedding weekend would be handled and coordinated by us and our friends and family. After our first consult with Dan, we could sense that his approach to events is not centered around a single moment, but every moment and every detail. Over time we ended up collaborating on nearly every component of planning, ordering, and execution of the entire weekend.
WFF has an extensive network of resources and was able to source and keep track of dozens of items that needed to be rented, delivered, set up. Trusting in Dan and the WFF to execute on our shared vision was simple, because we could sense that he cared about our experience and that he was extremely passionate about crafting quality moments. When we had questions about rentals or had ideas about adding a service, the WFF team was available and eager to lean in and support. It is not uncommon to hear people reflecting on how challenging planning their wedding was, our experience was, in large part to Dan and the WFF team, easy and fun.
While there were nearly a dozen WFF team members supporting with setting up, prepping, cooking, serving, etc, we got a sense early on that Anastasia (Stash) was going to lead the team as the conductor of the day. Stash was warm, engaging, direct, professional. Her presence and focus grounded the day and allowed the transitions to be completely seamless. She is an absolute joy and we felt honored to get to spend some time after the dinner getting to hear about her life and passions.
It is absolutely apparent that WFF has many special components layered into its business, but it’s people are what bring it all to life.
From the culinary perspective, what was originally ideated to be a simple lunch and an elevated family style dinner, turned into a culinary symphony that our guests lauded as “some of the best food they’ve ever had, ever”.
Wood Fire Food curated an absolute masterpiece of a weekend. We hold them highly accountable for our fond reflections of what was one of the most special moments in our lives. Thanks Dan, thanks Stash, and thanks to the rest of the Wood Fire Food team!
