Wild Meadows Photography

paid in full and made it very clear that candid photography was important to me. I wanted one photographer focused on my husband and me while the second captured getting-ready moments, details, reactions, family, and everything happening around us. Unfortunately, the communication issues started well before the wedding. Our engagement session was extremely difficult to coordinate. I reached out multiple times because I wanted fall photos and needed them for our save-the-dates. Responses were repeatedly delayed, and I ultimately had to find someone else for photos because I could not continue waiting. When we eventually planned a date it was cancelled approximately two hours beforehand with an excuse that i am sure was a lie now, after I had already paid for hair and makeup. I continued trying to reschedule and eventually asked if another photographer could do the session. Another photographer did our engagement shoot, but I had to obtain her contact information myself and send her my inspiration and vision directly. I also had to follow up to receive our gallery. Then came the wedding. At approximately 10:30 PM the night before our wedding, I was informed that the photographer veronica would not be attending. I had never previously been told she was stepping back from shooting like she claims. I was told another photographer would be the lead and the second person would be a content creators My issue is the extremely late notice, especially after paying for a specific two-photographer package. This was incredibly upsetting the night before my wedding. What should have been an exciting night became hours of crying and panic, with my husband having to spend much of the night calming me down. My concerns carried into the wedding day. The lead photographer seemed unfamiliar with the timeline and shots I had provided. My bridesmaids had to help direct her through groupings, and my husband later told me the same happened with them. Multiple occasions when my bridesmaids had to go looking for the photographer.Specifically arranged for early venue access so the photographers could familiarize themselves with the space, photograph details, and capture getting-ready photos. Specifically requested these photos.Received no getting-ready photos. Specifically requested sunset photos with my husband. When the time came, the photographer did not come get us. A coordinator had to find me and ask why we had not gone for them. I had not skipped them — I was waiting for the photographer. During our couple photos, I felt there was very little direction or confidence. The content creator ended up taking a much more active role in directing us, which I actually appreciated because she seemed attentive and knew what she was doing. My frustration is the overall pattern: poor communication, repeated lack of follow-through, extremely late notice about a major change to our contracted photography team, and feeling like I had to manage the photography coverage myself on my wedding day. Candid, natural photography and having a photographer who could confidently capture important moments without me directing them was one of the main reasons I booked this company. I trusted this company with memories that cannot be recreated, this experience was extremely disappointing.
