We loved working with Carolyn for our florals and candles! We had some colors and a general vibe for our wedding in mind, and she took our ideas and came up with a gorgeous design. After our initial meeting, she sent us a detailed floral proposal including 16 different seasonal flowers that she planned to use. As we planned the rest of our wedding, we used the florals in her design as a foundation for the rest of our decorations. Carolyn was flexible in helping us build the floral package that would work for our budget while prioritizing the elements that would have the biggest impact.
Closer to our wedding day, we went to our final design meeting at Carolyn's new studio, where we made decisions about colors for florals, candles, and candle holders. It was a quick meeting because we loved everything she came up with! Her designs have the absolute perfect amount of "wildness" and are so interesting to look at, which isn't always the case with wedding florals. She created beautiful bouquets for me and my bridal party (each one was unique!), boutonnieres, bud vases for the reception tables, and meadow pieces that we used for our ceremony and repurposed for our sweetheart table at our reception. She even designed a special corner floral piece for the wood backdrop my husband built for the ceremony. When we got to the venue and I saw the space for the first time, I found myself tearing up because it was more beautiful than I could have imagined.
Carolyn was lovely to work with and spent a lot of time at our venue, including helping to flip the room from the ceremony to the reception. We would absolutely recommend working with her and the team at Wild Ginger for your wedding!
We absolutely adored working with Carolyn and her team at Wild Ginger. They did an incredible job with all our florals. For our ceremony, they even designed our 10 ft tall mandap frame. As seen in the pictures, they also create florals for the aisle, table centerpieces, reception stage, and even for the cake!!! They executed our wedding colors and vision perfectly. I especially love their focus on sustainably grown, local flowers. My husband and I are so incredibly grateful for their help. You are in great hands if you chose to trust them with your wedding!

Our designs are filled with life, color, and movement. We draw our inspiration from the time we spend ‘off the beaten path’ in Midwestern forests and prairies. Each bouquet is rich in the flowers, branches, seedpods, leaves, berries, and vines that embody the season of your wedding and the elegance of the natural world. Many of the varieties we use you won’t find at any other florist. We strive to maintain the natural world with our business practices, which are low-waste and low-emissions, respecting all living things human and otherwise. Designing with native plants holds a special place in our hearts; when it comes to creating elegant, upscale floral designs with them, no one does it better than we do.
Whether it’s an arbor or arch, freestanding floral pillars, a chuppah, altar, or mandap — we love creating floral backdrops for your ceremony. Even better? When we get to hang flowers from the ceiling or float them in water. I'm a farmer-florist with a background in sustainable farming, and I've been growing and arranging flowers for weddings since 2017. I love working with flowers. They mark the rituals that make our lives worth living. Our favorite flowers connect us to our families, our ancestors, our cultural heritage, and each other, and they remind us that we are tied to the land and the seasons. It is such a joy and a privilege for me to help couples mark the celebration of their love with beautiful sustainably- and locally-grown flowers.
