We could not have been happier with our experience at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club! From our very first tour through the end of our reception, everything was organized and professiona...

Scheduling a tour was quick and easy, and they had plenty of appointment availability. One of the things that initially drew us to Whitetail Ridge was their transparent pricing. We also appreciated that there isn't a separate venue rental fee, with food and beverage provided in-house. It made budgeting much more straightforward. Throughout the initial planning process, Ashley was always incredibly responsive whenever we had questions. We also appreciated that we were able to stop by the venue to look around as long as it didn't interfere with another event. Being able to revisit the space helped us visualize our wedding day and finalize our plans.
About six months before our wedding, we attended the menu tasting and met our day-of coordinator, Tue. The tasting was very well organized, and it was easy to compare options and take notes before making our final selections. There were many different food options.
Tue was absolutely amazing and truly one of the highlights of our experience. She was organized, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day exactly what we envisioned. The venue uses a Google Sheets planning document to organize all of the wedding details, timelines, vendor information, and more. I absolutely loved this planner—it was user-friendly and kept everything in one place. We met with Tue twice before the wedding. Our first meeting focused on our initial planning details using the planning document. Our final meeting, about two weeks before the wedding, went through every last detail to ensure nothing was overlooked. By the time our wedding day arrived, we felt completely prepared. Our rehearsal also went very smoothly. Some members of our wedding party were running late, but Tue was flexible, patient, and accommodating. She was also quick to adjust whenever we wanted to make small changes to the ceremony.
On our wedding day, Tue was there when we arrived and immediately made us feel at ease. One of the biggest benefits of choosing Whitetail Ridge is that the venue takes care of setting up your décor. It was such a relief knowing we didn't have to worry about decorating or coordinating setup ourselves. Tue greeted each of our vendors as they arrived, helped them get situated, and made sure everything stayed on schedule. She also worked closely with our photographer and videographer to recommend beautiful locations throughout the golf course. Since we chose not to do a first look, my bridal party and I spent time in the bridal suite, and Tue checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. After our ceremony, we decided we wanted to take photos on the bridge across the course, which required a golf cart ride. Within minutes, Tue had golf carts ready for us so we could capture some of our favorite photos of the day.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning. We held our ceremony on the outdoor patio, which provided a beautiful backdrop for exchanging our vows, and the grounds created endless opportunities for gorgeous photos.
Whitetail Ridge Golf Club made our wedding day feel effortless, allowing us to enjoy every moment. We would recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful location with an incredible team that genuinely cares about making your wedding day unforgettable.

solutely stunning, our driving range ceremony was beautiful even in the windy May weather!
What stood out the most throughout the planning process was the incredible communication and support we received from our coordinator, Abby. She was responsive, organized, patient, and always willing to help with any question or concern we had. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Abby made everything feel manageable and smooth. Her attention to detail and dedication gave us so much confidence every step of the way. She consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and it honestly felt like she cared about our wedding just as much as we did. Her professionalism, kindness, and helpfulness made such a huge difference in our overall experience.
On the wedding day itself, everything ran flawlessly. The staff was attentive, the venue looked incredible, and our guests could not stop complimenting the location and atmosphere. We truly could not have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important day.
We are beyond grateful to Abby and the entire team at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club for helping create memories we will cherish forever. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful location with outstanding service and exceptional communication throughout the entire process.

We knew as soon as we walked in through the lobby that this was the spot for us. It is so scenic. It has that rustic look to it and the view outside is incredible. There is a nice ...
wrap around balcony overlooking the course (perfect for sunset pictures).
We looked at other places and this was more affordable AND better overall.
Staff is so friendly and wonderful to work with. Abby was our coordinator and she was amazing!! I wish I could give more then five stars for this rating. We had the best day of our lives here.
So many compliments on how beautiful the set up was and how much everyone liked the food. Definitely pay the little bit extra for dance floor lights!!

ocess. Abby was amazing to work with and helped set everything up and checked with us leading up to the night and throughout the whole wedding night. The food was perfect and the guests loved the food. We did the premium buffet package and everyone enjoyed being able to take the portion size they preferred. We definitely recommend the prime rib! The views were amazing and the ballroom was decorated beautifully. I highly recommend Whitetail Ridge to anyone who is planning their wedding!
Whitetail is a beautiful venue, you get your own coordinator who will help you every step of the way. The wedding day went very smooth, the food was great, I have zero complaints!

ld’ve gotten through the day without her.
Whitetail was an absolutely beautiful venue for both our ceremony and reception. They did a wonderful job setting up the decorations I provided and the tables and some decor they had too. They have great packages and were extremely accommodating with the menu, as my husband and I wanted a fully vegan menu. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married and celebrate!
The reason I did not give five stars is because of their scheduling of events that day. My reception was scheduled to start at 4:00 and they had multiple events before mine that en...
ded at 3:00- however, at 3:30 guests from those events were still hanging around/chatting. They barely had time to decorate for our cocktail hour. I felt uncomfortable and out of place on my big day. They should really allow more time between events to not have this happen again, no bride should have to deal with that stress/feeling like I did.
Also, the wedding coordinator we worked with left at I believe 8:30 and the reception didn't end until 10:00- I feel like it was unprofessional to leave an event before it's finished in case anything came up.
Other than that, the venue itself is beautiful and the prime rib was excellent. They do have multiple places for stunning photos, including good indoor options for if it rains like it did on my day!
We had attended 2 weddings at Whitetail Ridge and loved each one, so we decided to look into them for our own wedding. They have several different wedding packages that include al...
most everything, allowing you to choose what fits right for you. We were able to go to the tasting with many other wedding couples (the food was wonderful!) and try the foods in a setting like our wedding day would be. Ashley was great to work with, answering our questions and working with us on everything. Since there were no events in the ballroom the week leading to our wedding, we were able to drop all of our decor off anytime during the week, and it was all setup for us. The space looked beautiful and all of the staff we saw that evening was very pleasant. They helped clean up and organize our decor at the end of the evening, and the venue would even let us pick up the decor the next day if we didn’t have space to take it home that night. We also took pictures on the grounds and were able to use golf carts to help get our photographers and videographers around. Thanks for helping make our day perfect!
I really loved this venue. They did a great job with being flexible and helping us on our wedding day. I would only change one thing and that would be how much they pressed us and ...
our photographers for time. None the less, the food was amazing and everyone had a blast. I will be going back again sometime in the future!
Ashley & Amanda were such a pleasure to work with! The venue was absolutely perfect & Amanda took care of all the final details perfectly.
The food was fantastic & the set-up was...
well laid out. I could not have asked for better customer service for my big day! I especially appreciated the tasting event prior to the wedding, it was a great way to see how the actual day will go from a guest perspective.
What's also very important is leading up to the wedding & Amanda dealt with my crazy amount of emails & constantly updating of details. I sure was a pain in the butt, however Amanda did not mind at all.
Thank you for making my big day a success!
Sincerely,
Ashley & Jake Anderson

Great venue!
My husband and I had our wedding reception at Whitetail Ridge on August 5th and it was absolutely perfect! Not only is the venue and golf course gorgeous but the food is delicious...
as well. The price we paid for the amount of people we had (around 230 guests) was very affordable and lower than most large venues in the area. Megan and Ashley are so nice and amazing to work with. They made everything easy and stress free from the beginning. I highly recommend this venue!
I attended a wedding at WTR as a guest back in 2009, and it was just beautiful - so beautiful, in fact, that I crossed it off my list for possible future nuptials, as I assumed it ...
would be too expensive. Sad face :(.
Fast forward to December 2015 when we start our venue search, and I email Ashley on a whim, only to find out this gorgeous place really IS affordable (though, cost is relative for weddings). And, our date was open! We booked, and then proceeded to have the best experience working with Ashley and the staff.
I love how they do their tastings - inviting all weddings for the year to a reception-like event, so you can see how they work and - most importantly - so you can see how it tastes made in large quantities. If you can't make the dates offered, they do still offer one-on-one tastings.
Ashley was super responsive to my emails, changes I had, questions that came up. She happily opened the doors on multiple occasions so I could visit with my coordinator, bridesmaids, etc. Based on other events around your date, you're able to come in early AND leave decor for a day or two if you agree in advance. For our NYE wedding, that was needed! The food was good - everyone loved the Dijon Chicken!
If you are looking for a warm & welcoming place to hold your wedding, somewhere run by and like a family, Whitetail Ridge Golf Club is your place. Go see Ashley Walker Johnson. We LOVED working with them - so helpful and flexible, and everyone, thought they see lots of weddings come through, treated us like ours was the biggest event of the year!
LOVE this place. Ashley was awesome to work with. Great price and packages. Everything was perfect.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at Whitetail Ridge in July. Our guest list was around 300 people so it was a challenge to find a place to fit us. After finding several o...
ptions we chose Whitetail because they had the right balance of beauty and cost. They offered many options to help make it affordable as well. Ashley made the entire planning process seamless. She was always willing to answer questions, set up meetings, etc. We were able to drop off our decorations a few days early and she put up everything. We even stopped by there several times for their delicious Sunday brunch. I would recommend Whitetail to anyone!!

the pictures, were breathtaking. The food was fantastic. We've even eaten here other than our wedding and it was equally as delicious. Of course, what really made it unforgettable was the staff. Ashley and Amanda were absolutely amazing during the whole process. From the very first meeting/showing, communicating back and forth, the hundreds of questions we had for them, the flexibility and friendliness, it was all top notch. We (and our guests!) can't say enough about how pleased we were with everything. I would recommend Whitetail Ridge to anybody, whether it be a wedding, special event, or just stopping by for dinner our a round of golf!
Our wedding was 01.03.2015, and had our reception at Whitetail Ridge. We got a wonderful price (just $2000!) and their wedding coordinator Ashley Johnson was incredibly helpful (es...
pecially when I needed to email her with questions about EVERYTHING that came to mind!). With our contract came all dishes, silverware, tablecloths, napkins (in assorted colors), tables, chairs, and even some decorations that were left over from Christmas, which worked perfectly with the winter theme! We did not have them cater our event, but they allowed us to bring in our own caterer (Upper Crust Catering) and kept the food warm for us until our 2:00 reception. We did have a cash bar and paid for Whitetail Ridge to provide a champagne toast ($1/glass), and soda/coffee/tea ($5/person).
They also allowed us to bring in our own food, and the only stipulation was that everything had to be sealed. Since they allowed that we had a hot chocolate bar, a dessert bar, and brought in our own cupcakes and wedding cake.
I would use Whitetail again!
We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and made sure our special day went off without a hitch! We couldn't decorate ...
the day before because of an event at whitetail, however, they allowed us to drop our decorations off and did all the work for us and it was perfect. The food was delicious as well. I would highly recommend Whitetail Ridge for a reception venue.

d a question I would have to leave a message and sometimes it would be a few days till I heard back. Over all I LOVED my day they made it easier, for me and my family. My really only negative thing is, during dinner we where hit with the bill of extra people that came. I knew it was going to come but it really ruined it for my husband and me. We where so overwhelmed with having to pay it right then and there. We did not get to finish eating our dinner while it was warm. Also we did not get to really think about the amount of people they charged us for. When it was all done and over with, we realized that for the amount of people that we where charged for it could not have been right. In the end yes it is a negative and a pain to think that we had been over charged. However everyone had a great time and loved the food.
They were so easy to work with and the atmospherewas beautiful!!!!

ional. Unfortuneatley, we could not have the wedding on the original date we had planned (11-11-11 because of Vets Day) because none of the off-season discounts applied. We were happy with the date we chose in the end, and everything went smoothly. The staff at Whitetail is exceptional!

Amanda made our reception run without a glitch. Ashley was there every step of the way to help with the planning process and was a delight to work with. I would highly recommend whitetail for anyone looking for a venue that gives you the best of an indoor reception but the beauty of the outdoors!
We wanted a location in the western suburbs to host a ceremony and reception for a March wedding. Whitetail Ridge offered what we were looking for (clean and simple construction, ...
good value for the meal/person and indoor room for the ceremony).
The staff was always helpful in making sure we were satisfied. They were very organized with the setup for the reception room and met all our special requests. Looking back everything went very smoothly and we would recommend the location for a wedding!

answering many questions via email. We were so pleased with everything about the day. It all ran smoothly. The banquet staff was friendly and professional. The food was delicious. Our ceremony was held on site, too. We were able to drop off our decorations and the staff made sure everything was just like we wanted it. It is a beautiful venue.
The facilities was a beautiful place for a fall
