Carla is absolutely amazing! Her cakes are delicious; I truly think I could’ve chosen any flavor combination and been in love. I wanted a unique cake, and Carla was not only recept...
ive but encouraging! While I ultimately had to cancel (covid, of course!) I would 1000% choose Carla and Whisk Bakery!
Carla has been a true blessing through COVID. Our original wedding date was March 28 and we had to push it back to June 6 - before it was completely postponed. I was already on edg...
e with high stress from moving all my vendors back and forth. Carla was one of the easiest and most thoughtful vendors we worked with. She reached out to us first early March informing us we can move the date if needed without charge and she will handle it all with the venue and coordinator. So we didn't have to worry about anything. June starts to approach and the rules changed again in HTX with COVID. We informed Carla that this time the wedding has been postponed and most likely happen in New Jersey. She was very compassionate and offered us a full refund. We didn't even ask for a refund but she offered it stating we deserve to be stress free when it comes to cake. Carla is an angel and I cannot thank her enough for just being 100% present throughout this entire virus wedding situation.
I found Whisk Bakery off of The Knot and I was not disappointed! Carla was so sweet and answered any and all questions I had regarding cake sizing. She was also not phased at all w...
hen I decided to add a his and hers cake to the ticket. Honestly, our wedding cake was by far the BEST cake I have ever had. In fact, we ate on the leftover cake for a week it was honestly that good. All of our guests loved having the trio of cakes to sample and raved about how yummy it was. Would highly recommend to those brides looking for a cake vendor!
I have attempted to contact Carla via both email and voicemails for 3 weeks in regards to obtaining the top tier of our wedding cake. We choose her to make our wedding cake because...
she promises to remake your top tier on your anniversary. Because of this promise, we did not save our top tier and are now out of a beautiful tradition because of her lack of customer service. She lists another bakery on her main contact page, I contacted her there and was able to reach her. Not only was she incredibly rude but she hung up on me when I stated I did not want to have her call me back because she is near impossible to reach. 100% do not recommend.
Carla is the absolute best! So sweet and fun to work with, she made our wedding cake dreams come true. Not only was it absolutely beautiful, it was the BEST gluten free cake I've e...
ver had! The texture and flavors were so good. My husband had a chocolate peanut butter cake and I had a GF lemon blueberry cake. My husband couldn't even tell the cake was gluten free and I think he almost preferred my cake to his! All of our guests were so happy to have the gf option and couldn't believe it was gf either.
One thing that was really important to us was having a good cake that our guests would love. I have been to several weddings where the cake is gorgeous, but it tastes really dry or really sugary and there is not much flavor, so we were super happy to find Whisk! We had so many guests compliment us on our cake and the flavors we chose. And our guests that chose the GF option couldn't tell the difference. So whether you're looking for a GF cake or a regular cake, Whisk makes the best cakes and I very highly recommend them!

of different choices and created a tasty dessert bar for our wedding. The Bride and Grooms cakes were beautiful and many guests raved about the flavors as well. Carla was wonderful to work with and I definitely recommend her for any of your baking needs.

instead. We LOVED it!! She did a chocolate chip tres leches cake with a cookie butter filling. Truly scrumptious! So we did the same exact flavor for our wedding cake. Also Carla placed the flowers on the cake and girl, does she have an eye for that too. Overall we highly recommend Carla for your big day dessert dreams. She is taking less orders now but if you can get in, DO IT! Thank you Carla, we will be in touch for future orders!

The most important item on my list for the wedding was cake and Carla did not disappoint. The cakes she made for us looked exactly like the photos I brought in. My cake was a four ...
tier semi naked cake decorated with our wedding flowers and my husbands cake was a three tier cake, each layer a different Houston sports team. Usually cakes that look this good are decorated with fondant and don’t taste good but Carla used minimal fondant and the cakes tasted amazing. She also suggested we make one of the tiers a dummy in order to save some money since we didn’t need that many tiers for the amount of guests we were having. Even with the fake tier we had plenty to take home for leftovers and saved some money. Thank you Carla for making our day special!
Carla was absolutely a joy to work with! From our initial cake tasting to the delivery of our cake, she was so helpful and fun. We went in with a clear idea of what we wanted, but ...
after sampling her cakes, we took her advice and let her run with it. Everything was so delicious! Our only regret is that there wasn’t more to enjoy.

cause everything she makes is delicious!
She helped us to choose a mix between a cake, cupcakes, and cookies, and helped to design our dessert table in the most fun way.
In addition to being talented, Carla is extremely personable. I would reach out to her during the wedding process and she would respond quickly and joyously.
It is obvious that Carla loves what she does because of the way she treats her clients with such grace and the skill she puts into her delicious desserts.
Choosing Whisk Bakery for our wedding dessert was the easiest and best decision we made!
Cake was delicious and very easy to work with for a last minute order! Family loved the cake and people went back for seconds.
Carla is AMAZING! The cake I ordered for my friend’s birthday was delicious and so beautiful. Thank you, Carla!!

or cake, icing and filling - all for an amazing price!!! My husband and I went with snickerdoodle, chocolate and white cupcakes (the white had a cookies and cream frosting, the other two were almond) and snickerdoodle for the cutting cake, and we got so many remarks during the reception on how delicious they were. Whisk Bakery is where it's at!
The whole experience working with Carla was absolutely wonderful. We made an appointment for a tasting after trying one of her cakes at a friends' wedding and it was phenomenal! Ev...
ery flavor and filling we tried at the tasting were amazing and Carla was very so helpful throughout the whole process. She offers cake stands for rental and helped us decide how much cake and desserts to order. She offers a variety of other desserts, all delicious, and her presentation of everything is beautiful. Our cake turned out as beautiful as I had hoped and was so delicious - tres leches with fresh strawberry and whipped cream filling and white chocolate buttercream!! We heard from everyone about how fantastic the cake, cookies and brownies were, and we can't wait to order more from Carla!
Carla is wonderful, it was super easy to coordinate with her. Everything was delicious and looked amazing! We had a three tiered cake and cupcakes at our reception. I left a box wi...

Whisk Bakery and Carla are the best. I felt very comfortable working with Carla and she listened to all my input and made my dream wedding cake come true. During the cake tasting...
she had several different types of cakes, fillings, and frostings to try which all tasted amazing. The cake was devoured during our reception. Another great thing that Carla does is provide a new cake for your 1 year wedding anniversary so that you don't have to store the top layer in the freezer. This is the first time I have ever heard of this and thought it was a brilliant idea. I always recommend Carla to anyone who needs any type of cake or dessert.

ut the whole process! We had plenty of cake for all of our guests (and enough to freeze for our anniversary) and everyone was raving about how delicious they were! Carla was so sweet, dependable, and easy to get in touch with. I would 1000% recommend using her!
Carla was amazing, friendly, and very professional! We did a cake taste test at her house and it was so hard to decide what we wanted because everything she makes is DELICIOUS!

e ended up with a small 3 tier cake that we wanted in Tres Leche (our fave) and, although she said she could do it, it wouldn't taste very traditional because Tres Leche is more moist. So with her help, we were able to compromise with a fantastic real strawberry and cream cheese tiered cake and she made us little cups of Tres Leche that our guests really LOVED as an alternative to sliced cake.
I also found a couple designs of cakes I liked on Pintrest and she was able to decorate it just like the photos! Carla is a true master with cake, and she will not dissapoint.
We booked whisk bakery for our wedding and Carla is such an amazing baker! She made our wedding cake and it was absolutely delicious and beautiful! She is such a pleasure to work w...
ith. During wedding planning Carla would checked in with me to make sure everything was going well. We received so many compliments on our cake from guest that some even took multiple pieces to go. We also use whisk bakery for holiday treats and desserts and they are phenomenal. Thank you so much Carla for being wonderful.
I chose Whisk because of the variety of options, the level of sophistication, and the owner, Carla! We wanted a dessert table and Carla had everything! When we went for our tasting...
, the flavors were so unique and delicious we booked right on the spot. So did my sister in law after she had her tasting. You will not find a more affordable, high quality baker!

We ordered from Carla for our wedding in March, and have absolutely no regrets about it! She went above and beyond in accommodating all of our special requests, and delivered with ...
absolute perfection!
Carla is attentive, professional, and so so talented. We ordered a traditional wedding cake, a whacky grooms cake, and a special cake as a surprise for my father (who is a total ice cream cake fanatic). She was eager to take on the task, and hit it out of the park with all three!
We highly recommend using Whisk Bakery for your big day. You are sure to get a beautiful product that tastes just as good as it looks!
Carla was an absolute pleasure to work with!! I really enjoyed working with her to create the dream cakes for my daughter's recent wedding. Her way of cake testing was so unique -...
you got to choose several cake options as well as icings and fillings. Then you combined them at the testing session to create your special cake profiles - it was a great way to help you navigate through all the options so that you could decide what cake you wanted to serve at the wedding.
We ended up with the vanilla cake with chantilly cream and fresh raspberries - it was the best "traditional" wedding cake I've ever had. So moist and flavorful. The grooms cake was a Reese's peanut butter cake - chocolate cake, peanut butter buttercream, chocolate ganache and crushed Reese's. Aaaamazing! I definitely made sure to have a piece of each.
Choose Carla for your cake - your guests will be amazed and you'll enjoy every bite!
My husband and I would definitely recommend Carla with Whisk bakery! Not only is she professional and great at what she does, but she is super fun to work with! She is very easy to...
communicate with and her desserts are delicious! Our wedding cake turned out so beautiful, just as I had envisioned. We also ordered some of Carla's mini pecan pies and chocolate chip cookies which got DEVOURED! They were such a hit with our guests, that I had to fight to even get a bite!
I don’t have enough good things to say about Carla! She was the first baker I really found, and right away I knew I had to get my cake from her, I didn’t even consider anyone else....
Working with her was awesome, she was always very sweet, knowledgeable and honest when I asked for her advice on my dessert table. We did a cake tasting with her and it was so cute, we even got little take home boxes for the left overs! She has a lot of variety on her menu, everything was very reasonably priced and everything that we got was delicious! But my absolute favorite was our actual wedding cake, which was a semi naked funfetti cake with vanilla buttercream. I cannot wait until I have an occasion to order from her again!
I absolutely love Whisk Bakery and Carla, I have been going to Carla for a few years now for baked good for seriously every occasion. She even fit me in when I forgot about orderi...
ng a cake for my husbands birthday last minute. She is seriously the sweetest person ever on top of it all. I won't ever go else where for cakes, or those delicious brownies.

ent with rustic lines and simple white and green florals. My guests raved about how delicious the cake was and had several helpings! Carla is great to work with, is very organized, and ensures your vision is brought to life. As a unique touch, instead of freezing the top part of your cake for your 1 year anniversary, she will cook you a fresh cake instead! You will not regret having Carla as your cake baker! I would highly recommend!
Carla was extremely easy to work with and had so many wonderful ideas to help me decide what kind of cake I would like for my wedding. She made the process so easy and fun. She has...
every kind of flavored cake or icing you can imagine and all of my guests said her cakes were the best wedding cakes they have ever had. I will definitely be using her again for any of my cake needs!
Whisk Bakery was accommodating in every way. From emailing my ideas to our one on one, Carla was nothing but helpful and patient as we decided on the many flavors and combinations....
She invites you to her home to do a private tasting, you get to try an assortment of cake flavors, fillings and frostings. The day of the wedding, she was on time and worked wonderful beside my coordinator to set up my cake. She took the time not only to deliver it but to set the final touches to the cake, making it perfect in every way! To make the icing even more sweeter, she is reasonably priced and works with you on payment arrangements. I would definitely refer Whisk Bakery to any of my friends.
I emailed Whisk bakery and Carla responded quickly, with details, and left no questions unanswered. During the tasting, she was so sweet and friendly and when I couldn’t decide on ...

Adrian and I were so excited when we met Carla for our cake tasting as we both LOVE cake! What was supposed to be a short appointment, turned into 3+ hours of chatting and sharing ...
fun stories! Carla is so charming and offered great suggestions for us to think about when we choose our cake. Our cake was gorgeous and soooo delicious! We sent her a couple of photos and a copy of our invitation (for her to see the shade of blue we wanted), and she couldn’t have possibly made our cake any more beautiful! It was even better than what we thought it would be! It would be an absolute travesty not to mention the tres leches cups, which our guests raved about. They were seriously the best… hands down the best tres leches cake we’ve ever tasted! We are super happy to support a fellow UH alumna!
Carla was very sweet and professional and created a beautiful wedding cake that matched our theme and color-scheme. The favors of the cake, icing and fillings were very delicious! ...
:)
Carla was so friendly & accommodating at our cake tasting. We were floored by the uniqueness of all of her flavors-Mexican Hot Chocolate with Espresso Buttercream icing is what we ...
went with-heavenly combination!!! She was even able to accommodate my gluten allergy by having our top tier be gluten free! Also, when we went for our tasting, we didn't just get a slice of the flavors we were trying, but an entire mini-bundt with icing separated so you could try the icings & cakes in different combinations. We would HIGHLY recommend Whisk!
Carla is so sweet and nice!! We loved everything from the tasting to the event day! We had such a variety of desserts for our day and I was never worried about some being better th...
an others. I have received so many messages about all the different items! We had mini cupcakes, banana-Nutella empanadas, Mexican wedding cookies, sprinkle cloud cookie sandwiches, turtle and s’mores brownies, peach crumble mini pies and a small tres leches cake with maple pecan cream cheese icing for our small wedding cake. AND WOW! I have now recommended her to EVERYONE and will continue to do so. We opted for pick up and she packaged everything to nicely so that it made it to the venue without a scratch! I am so thankful I had Whisk Bakery for the wedding day sweets! Not only is the product wonderful, but it’s also so nice when your vendors are sweet, good-hearted folks. She was extremely easy to do business with!
Carla was amazing from the tasting all the way up to the wedding day. We told her our preferred flavors and fillings but she went above and beyond and provided some additional opti...
ons she thought we would like. We actually ended up going with one of her recommendations over our original choices. In my experience wedding cakes rarely taste as good as they look, but the three cakes Carla baked for us looked and tasted phenomenal.
More importantly, she was very professional, easy to work with, and communicative: everything you need in a wedding vendor! I can't recommend Whisk Bakery enough.
It took us a long time to select our bakery. Carla at Whisk Bakery impressed us at our cake tasting not only with the quality of product, but also with her professionalism, ability...
to put us at ease, stellar personality, and positive outlook. She's easy to be transparent with and worked with us to determine all of our sweet desires for our wedding in April 2018 at The Vine. The day was perfectly imperfect, and we always share our thoughts knowing Carla's focus is our delight. We consider her a friend and cannot wait (yet we can) to enjoy our anniversary cake!
Carla was beyond AMAZING with not only her cakes and cookies but her hospitality as well! She was extremely helpful with all the questions and concerns I had. Her cake and cookies ...
for our wedding definitely did NOT disappoint, so much that all we got was the piece that we fed each other, the guest were quick to finish it all off before we got to any thing else! We will for sure be using Whisk Bakery for future events.
Carla was wonderful! From the moment you meet her you realize just how passionate she is about her baking. Her cakes are absolutely delicious (our flavor was Lemon with Raspberry &...
Cream Cheese filling) and her other desserts are pretty dang awesome as well (brownies and cookies for our dessert table). Furthermore Carla really goes above and beyond for you. She had a huge selection of cake stands but when we couldn't find the one we wanted she went out of her way to find one for us. We can't recommend Carla enough!
Carla was super sweet, accommodating, and great to work with! Her email response time was usually quick and she spent time chatting with us about our options.

s and exactly what we wanted! We ended up renting one of her cake stands as well, which was really convenient and fit our theme perfectly. She was punctual, responsive, worked with our other vendors, and figuring out delivery and pickup ended up being super easy too.
I would definitely recommend Whisk to anyone looking for a classic, delicious wedding cake.
We used Whisk for our wedding cake(s). I had followed Whisk on Instagram for a while and always loved her creativity and fresh design. When our wedding coordinator set up a tasting...
, I just knew that Carla was going to be our girl! We met at her house and had a very generous tasting and brainstorming session. To say Carla met our expectations is a huge understatement. Our cakes were show stoppers! Not only did they look like a million bucks, but they tasted even better. My husband and I aren’t really “sweet tooth” people, but we can not wait to get a second chance to taste our delicious cake on our anniversary. Aside from the cakes, Carla is one of the sweetest and most genuine people we worked with during the planning process. We will continue to use her for future events and celebrations. You can’t go wrong with Whisk!
