I am an ordained pastor who enjoys officiating weddings and will officiate any loving relationship (LGBTQIA). I am a UCC pastor who has served churches for over 22 years and currently serving a ministry in Carlisle PA. I welcome the opportunity to journey with any loving couple through the planning and implementation of a wedding. I am happy to travel to the chosen destination of the couple. where our vows were even though we had confirmed with him prior we wanted standard vows. Chris is very type b, and clearly did not utilize the information we had sent him previously regarding what we specifically wanted. He assured us he had done a hand fasting ritual before, and while his reading was appropriate, he did not actually tie our hands. Multiple people commented on how disorganized that aspect of the ceremony appeared. He read the scripture we requested, and had a nice note about treating our love like “everyday is Friday” but it had little relevance to our story or items we had discussed previously.
We had unfortunately forgotten to pay our remaining balance after the initial deposit, and it was unprofessional to ask the groom where the payment was immediately after our ceremony. If Chris had come early, or contacted us prior, we would have made sure his balance was paid in full. To wait until the day of our wedding, when we had just gotten married, and bombarding my husband was ill timed.
Chris married us, he did a fine job, but you must hold him accountable and keep him on task if he is your officiant. He is a nice man, but if you have a specific vision perhaps look elsewhere.

Each of these meetings were extremely beneficial not only to the ceremony planning but also to our general mental states (mine, in particular, with all the pre-wedding stress!). He gave us his undivided attention and support, and brought with him years of experience. Chris has a calm and measured demeanor but is also humorous - exactly what we were looking for.
