I am so glad I chose Mary to photograph our special day! I knew from the moment I saw her portfolio that it was going to be a great fit. We just received our wedding photos and the...
y are even more gorgeous than I hoped!
Mary was super professional and easy to talk to leading up to the wedding, and helped me prepare my shot list and organize my itinerary for the day. On the day of, she seemed to fit right in with my wedding party. I could tell everyone felt comfortable and beautiful having their photos taken by her.
We had an outdoor ceremony and a cozy reception space. Mary had such a keen eye for where to take photos. She really transformed the space into something out of a fairytale. The outdoor and indoor pictures are beautifully composed, and she captured so many intimate moments of my small wedding. In the chaos of the event, I wasn't sure what to expect, but she really managed to be everywhere at once!
The other reason I reached out to We Choose the Moon is because I loved the messages of body positivity and inclusivity on Mary's webpage. I couldn't have felt more beautiful in the photos she took. We also had a bit of an alternative wedding. My husband and I are polyamorous, and wanted to celebrate our partners as well as ourselves on our big day. Mary was open to that, and helped us make sure that everybody felt special and involved leading up to and throughout the event.
Thank you so much for everything! I had a truly perfect wedding day and now I have the perfect photos to remember it by forever. It would not have been possible without We Choose the Moon!
Mary feels like so much more than our photographer—she went above and beyond and truly was the best vendor a bride could ask for. The first thing you will note when visiting her we...
bsite is her insanely beautiful photography. She is very skilled, yes, but she also has experience and ideas to share so you have a realistic expectation for how your day will go and just how much time you will need.
Once you meet in person, you will notice her calm demeanor, and that she is as matter-of-fact and she comes across on her website. This attitude was essential for keeping me relaxed and focused on the big day! And her calm nature really rubbed off on everyone else, too. We have some higher strung family members, but the entire photography session with family truly was a walk in the park. What more could you ask for?? Oh, and the photos? Absolutely stunning. So thank you again, Mary, for making our day feel so special and for going with the flow so spectacularly while delivering us the best photos that have ever been taken of me and my husband.
Photography was the one thing we did not want to cheap out on for our wedding. My husband is very particular about the style he wanted, so I had him select several choices and I pi...
cked my favorites from that list. Mary ended up being one of the easiest decisions we made for our entire wedding. She is incredibly responsive and professional. We did an engagement shoot with her before our wedding and this just made us more confident in our decision leading up to the day. We are both super awkward people, but Mary made us feel comfortable throughout both of our shoots. When we received our engagement photos we were blown away. Despite feeling awkward and gangly, when I looked at the pictures, I felt beautiful. We have not yet received our wedding photos, but she usually posts a few before she is finished and I am incredibly excited to see them. I feel confident that we will love them! Mary received lots of compliments from my family on how fast she was too. This was super important because we had our ceremony and family pictures in a garden in 97 degree weather. Mary helped me manage my dress for the pictures, was clear in instructions for everyone, took notes and followed all of our requests. Not only that, she is fun to be around which is important since she was with us for most of our wedding day. Really I'm convinced she's the best photographer in Louisville.
Mary was everything we were looking for in a photographer: great creative vision, heard our requests, and stealth—during the ceremony we had no idea she was there and she got some ...
amazing shots. She sent us a care package after we signed the contract and when we ordered our prints she included a couple extra gifts that were really special. I can not recommend her enough.
Mary is absolutely the best. My husband (ahh!) is pretty averse to picture-taking, especially if they're staged. After we met Mary, he said to me "I really like her, I think this w...
ill be great"--and that's a big deal coming from him. She made us feel so comfortable and really embraced our weird, sometimes awkward presence, and made it work. I have absolutely no doubt that the pictures are going to be amazing, but perhaps even more importantly, our experience with her was wonderful. She made sure we had a minute to collect ourselves, fended off people who were stressing us out, and made sure that the rain didn't ruin our day. I would absolutely recommend Mary for anyone who wants to feel like themselves on their wedding day (but better!)
Mary was an absolutely amazing photographer! She met with us several times before the wedding, went through my pinterest page to get ideas of what I liked and envisioned for our ph...
otos, and worked with me to get an accurate timeline set up for pictures and the rest of the day. She made sure to get all of the photos I asked for; but my favorite photos were the ones she captured that were not planned. She has such a unique eye, and we truly enjoyed working with her. Our photos are everything we could've hoped for, and so much more!
