the outdoor deck area, where he proposed! Once we started the planning process of course I looked into them again, I knew that the view was stunning and the location was perfect! Gary walked me through every step and worked within my budget in order to create my dream reception! We chose to do stations for food, and it was all delicious! I kept hearing guests talk about how good it was! The set up was perfect too, they took care of everything! I picked the colors and they turned my vision into a reality. It was so nice to not have to worry about so many details and to know that everything at the reception would be taken care of. About three weeks before the wedding, a TON of my family informed me they wouldn't be able to make it (even though previously they had said they would). I had given the Sunset a minimum number of 75, expecting closer to 115. 61 people RSVPd yes. I panicked. I called Gary, and he and his wife told me not to worry. We added two additional appetizers and they dropped my minimum number to 70. It was a win-win for both of us, and I truly appreciated them being willing to work with me. The ONLY negative at all is my dad's seat at our table was missing, but within 45 seconds that was fixed. 45 seconds. It was as if it never happened. I only mention it so other brides know that if something does go wrong, they will fix it swiftly and completely. I had also gotten dehydrated during the ceremony, and got sick and dizzy during pictures, and when I arrived they took me to the private office, got me a cool cloth, brought me cheese and crackers, stuck a fan on me etc. Above and beyond service. Not to mention, a STUNNING location. Indoors with lots of glass windows, outdoors with a gorgeous view of the lake, and at sunset it is incredible. I'd reccommend them in a heartbeat!

our wedding day one to remember. Our wedding day was everything we could have asked for and more! The ballroom is STUNNING and the views of the mountains and lake champlain make photographs gorgeous! Truly an amazing venue with an amazing staff! We had such a wonderful experience when planning our wedding. 5 stars all the way!

autiful. Not to mention the food was great and the help was wonderful. Gary and Dianne were awesome and made sure everything was perfect for our special day. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking to get married.

a repeat as it would be a lot of the same guests. I had booked another location in Chittenden County (to remain nameless). Doubt started creeping in and I wanted to go back to the Sunset Ballroom to see for myself. The instant I stepped foot in the ballroom, I knew. This was, without a doubt, the place for my wedding reception. Gary Provost is the most welcoming and caring guy on the planet. He truly cares about every single detail and accomodating all requests. I cannot say enough nice things about him. The man is a saint. He makes it happen!! The views are incredible, the outdoor patio is perfect, the dancing floor is roomy and the high ceilings make for a very open feel. It creates a fantastic party atmosphere for sure! Having three different hotels sharing the same parking lot makes for very happy guests as they can just walkt to their hotel. Additionally, the Lakeview House is a 30 second walk and a great place for a post-reception after party. I would recommend the Sunset Ballroom to anyone thinking about having their wedding in VT. Convenient, affordable and amazing!
