not picture people, look like picture peopleđ she is easy to communicate with, responsive, and understanding of your wants in your pictures. She also gets your gallery back in a very reasonable time. Thank you Vicky!

I'm not sure where to even start with how happy we are that we chose Vicky Gilson to be our photographer for our wedding day. Let's start with our engagement photos. We planned the...
m for May 5th, 2021. The weather turned out to be a little colder than expected. We both thought there was no way our photos could turn out good with both of us shivering and I was sure my face would be red in all the photos. We could not have been more wrong! Our photos turned out AMAZING! I was seriously in awe at what she provided! Fast forward to our wedding day. Not only did she capture all of the moments we asked for, but she went above and beyond. During dinner she had noticed that our sheet cakes were out but not cut. I had COMPLETELY forgotten to ask someone to cut our cakes. When she saw the panic on my face when I realized what I had forgotten to delegate, she said "Don't worry I will cut it for you." This was huge! Not only that but she captured amazing photos of our guests. Because of this we were able to see what had happened at our wedding that we otherwise would have missed. On top of that we had a situation similar to our engagement photos. We weren't sure that half of our pictures would turn out. Not only were we being swarmed by bees, but the gnats were out in full force. Somehow, she managed to take group photos of 30+ people all while making sure you could see everyone's faces. There wasn't a bee or gnat in site in any of our photos. We can't thank her enough for the memories she captured (or kept hidden away) from the biggest day of our lives!
We had booked Vicky in 2019 for our wedding that was supposed to happen in 2020. We got our engagement photos and they looked great! Unfortunately, COVID happened and we had to res...
chedule to August 2021. About 4 months prior to our wedding we received an email from Vicky that she could no longer do our wedding photos and we would have an associate photographer. The communication was very poor, it would take a while for Vicky to get back to us to schedule a meeting or to get back when I asked for the package we chose. Our photos got back from the associate and many were missing. The ones we did get were too bright or blurry, my husbands suit looked black when it was really Navy, and my Aunts hair looked blonde when it is a dark brown. We paid full price for a photographer that we didnât originally book and we were super disappointed by the photos. Vicky tried to make it right by offering a free session and tried editing them, but unfortunately it doesnât help us because we will never get the wedding photos that we wanted. I think things shouldâve been handled differently, we shouldâve been given the option to get out of the contract since Vicky could no longer be our photographer or I really donât think we shouldâve had to pay full price. Even when we brought up our concerns of the wedding photos to Vicky, we were met with a lot of excuses that âthere wasnât a cloud in the skyâ and that, âa lot of pictures eyes were closedâ. It was overcast during the day and even ended up raining. I did a pose with 7 bridesmaids individually and only got one of those photos, so 6 times our eyes wouldâve had to been closed. I think Vicky is a good photographer, but unfortunately thatâs not who we got. I attached some of the photos we got back.

t her at our engagement session and she told us everything we can expect from her. I knew she was going to be great! She kept us on our timeline all day and made sure to capture every moment that was important to us and more. We are not picture taking people but thatâs not how it feels when Vicky is behind the camera. So fun so easy going and we couldnât be more happy đâď¸

ence. At first our only complaint about Vicky was that sheâs a little inattentive. She would say she would call us at a certain time and we wouldnât hear from her so we would have to call her. She always seemed unprepared or she was busy doing something else, even though they were scheduled times. We waited over the time period she gave us (engagement photos and wedding) and when we emailed her questioning when theyâd be done she was always a bit rude and snippy, mind you at this time she was paid in full. When we were told our pictures were done, we had to make arrangements to pick them up from her house which is a 35 minute drive for us, no big deal, but her availability was limited and she would not work with our schedules. We felt like a burden to her rather than clients and her social life was more important. She finally had to mail our USB to us because we could not coordinate a time/day that worked with her schedule. When we finally were able to see our pictures we were very pleased at the ones she took, however there were a few important pictures that werenât taken like a picture with my husband, myself and our kids, when asked why this picture was missed her response was âYour daughter wasnât having any part of photos.â Which certainly wasnât true. Vicky spent too much time taking pictures of just me and my bridal party and didnât spent much time taking important family pictures. Lastly, we received a free canvas print with the package we bought and the picture I choose, I choose specifically because it showed off my bouquet, but was cut out of the frame.
