The reason I’m giving Vell’s Event Center a 5-star review is that there simply isn’t an option to give them even more stars! My wife and I are beyond grateful that we chose Vell’s to host our wedding reception. Looking back on our experience, I can honestly say that if I tried to nitpick, I still wouldn’t be able to find a single complaint. From start to finish, Vell’s exceeded our expectations and played such a huge role in making our wedding day everything we could have hoped for and more.
From the very beginning, Vell’s stood out to us as the most organized venue, with the best communication and the most reasonable pricing. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but Vell’s made the entire process feel so much more manageable. Working with Dee as our coordinator was a true blessing. She was incredibly helpful, organized, and attentive throughout the entire process, and we couldn’t have asked for someone better to help bring our vision to life. Her communication and willingness to help made such a difference and took so much of the stress out of planning.
As our wedding day approached, Vell’s consistently checked in with us each month and provided timely updates to ensure we always knew what to expect.
The day of the wedding can be stressful, but Vell’s made everything run so smoothly that we were able to focus on enjoying the moment rather than worrying about the details.
Everything came together beautifully! Our bridal party and family were also able to take pictures with us in the gazebo, surrounded by the beautiful landscaping, which made for some wonderful memories and pictures. The food was delicious, there was plenty of space for everyone to sit comfortably, and the overall setup was absolutely amazing.
We are so thankful for all the time, effort, and care Vell's put into making our wedding reception such a success.
If I had to do it all over again, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I would choose Vell’s Event Center every single time. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue without hesitation! I’ve already recommended Vell’s to multiple friends, and I genuinely hope they decide to have their weddings there so I can come back and enjoy another wedding at this amazing venue myself. Thank you to Dee and the entire Vell’s team for helping make our wedding day so special. We couldn’t be happier with our experience!

d her and her husband, Vell, did an amazing job with our ceremony! The reception space was gorgeous. They did a lot of the set up, clean up, in house catering, desserts, and more. Out of all the venues and weddings we have been to in the past Vell's HANDS DOWN had the best food we've had. Our guests were raving over the buffet style setup and the food (especially the carved beef). They do have a bar, but we have to provide the alcohol. That's honestly fine with us and worked quite well! Dee even gave us a sheet giving an ideal amount of various wines and liquors for our wedding based on different guest counts. Dee also recommended hotels, a DJ, some photographers, and more when we had our first consultation. Working with Vells helped put a lot of my worries at ease. For anyone looking around the Medina area, I highly recommend checking out Vell's Event Center. It made our wedding so much more magically than we could have ever expected ❤️
For anyone curious of what we got for catering:
Water pitchers were at every table as well as bread and salad. The buffet for us consisted of pasta salad (my favorite), corn, mixed vegetables, baked chicken, pasta Alfredo, carved beef, and mashed potatoes. The desserts consisted of our cake (vanilla with raspberry filling and chocolate with chocolate filling), brownies, lady fingers, and cheesecake!

Vell are incredibly kind people, and they know how to smoothly put on a wedding – it was truly the best day ever! Dee and Vell go above and beyond!!!!! I can’t express enough how much they truly care about their guests. Unfortunately, you do not see this too much anymore, as a lot of times you are just another wedding. This is absolutely not the case here; They treat you like you are family!
From the start when we reached out, Dee called us back within minutes and we set up a time to meet that week. She took time to walk us through the process, look at the venue, and answered all our questions we had. I tend to get stressed easily, but working with Dee made the wedding planning easy. There was no need for a wedding planner or day of coordinator. Anytime I had a question, she responded back immediately. She also gave us recommendations to other vendors in the area, and they all worked so well together as a team!
The food was very delicious. We had many of our guests come up to us afterwards and say that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The staff works very hard to make everything come out perfect. Dee also accommodated for our guests that had dietary restrictions, which they greatly appreciated the thoughtfulness and time to do that. Dee also makes wedding cakes, which was so nice to have one less thing we needed to worry about. Our cake was beautiful and very tasty!
Dee is very attentive to detail and made sure everything was ready to go. They set up a lot of our decorations prior to the event and cleaned up everything afterwards – which we so much appreciated! The whole staff was friendly, and we all had a great time. It was all about the positive energy, and we had so many guests come up to us afterwards and say it was one of the top weddings they have been to. It is so nice to hear that, and we could not have done it without Dee, Vell, and the rest of the staff. Rob and I are forever thankful for them, and we will continue to brag about how awesome they are! If we could give over a 5 star we would!

The desserts were also diverse and delicious. Dee’s husband was incredibly helpful with keeping the evening on track and answering questions related to bartending. They are an excellent pair.
The venue is classy inside and out. I have gorgeous gazebo photos which added to my wedding day substantially. Dee was kind enough to accommodate us there as well. Overall the best venue experience I could have asked for and I highly recommend to all future brides!

The outside is gorgeous for the ceremony and to take pictures! There was a huge amount of parking available for our guest. All of our guest raved about the food which was delicious and homemade. Vells truly cares about their customers and picking this venue was the least stressful piece of planning a wedding. I ordered the cake through them as well and it was very affordable and elegant. There was barely anything left from the desert table they made. Dee knows her stuff! The staff was very attentive, friendly, and fast. We were asked many times throughout the night if we needed anything, which was awesome. I highly recommend Vells to anyone and would come back in the future for other events. My ceremony was outside with reception immediately following in the Gala Hall. Dee was an absolute god sent. She helped me with everything. The food was incredible and had so many people raving about it. The hall was gorgeous and better than i could have imagined. hall the day before the wedding, we were mesmerized with the set up and every little detail. There was not a single thing that was lingering in the back of my mind or I was regretting about. Both Vell and Dobrila were very helpful. Every time we asked, Dobrila was open to meet with us and was very patient when I would change my mind 3 times on the color of sashes, chair covers and napkins. Dobrila had also worked directly with our other vendors which made the whole experience much smoother and easier. Food was also very good, especially the Chicken Kiev. A lot of our guests passed on their compliments on it as well. We highly recommend Vell’s Party Center. Vell and Dobrila definitely made our wedding day special.

I didn’t have to deal with a bunch of different vendors to find tables, chairs, plates, glasses etc. b/c they did it all). We wanted to make sure that everyone was together at the reception and not far away that you felt “separated” and not a part of the party. There was just enough room between the tables and the DJ… making it not seem like you were right on top of each other. This family business is someone that you can trust completely. They were professional, accommodating, organized, knowledgeable and was able to offer us their experiences from past weddings. You can tell they have been doing this business for years. The food was phenomenal! My husband and I both kept receiving compliments from our guests’ weeks after the wedding! From start to finish, my husband and I were both satisfied. We couldn’t have been more excited that Vell’s Party Center also offered an ice cream bar. It was a HIT! Vell’s was a perfect combination of what we needed. ith our crazy last minute changes! Vell even upgraded our centerpieces at no cost to us and changed the tables around so we could fit more people with less space. The food tasted AMAZING, as well, and our guests kept raving about it! It was awesome that we got to take the food home with us too! We highly recommend Vell's Party Center for any occasion!

es you a feeling of trust from your first meeting to the actual day. Enough cannot be said for Dee and Vell's touch when working with them to create your perfect day from table runners to the cake. Dee is a brilliant cake maker. The FOOD alone would be enough to convince most people to use their services again. Every guest has raved about the food and we do too, but even further than that like every big event there were hiccups. Someone got sick, food and drink were spilled and at every turn their team had it gone like magic. They also really set you up with great vendors for items like beer and DJs. We loved our reception and you will too at Vell's Party Center.

Some even compared it to other locations and share that they were impressed Vell's had a buffet that had exceptional fresh food where other facilities have dried food under a heat lamp. Another guest said he went to a baby shower a week later and someone asked him how he liked the prime rib. The guest said, "this prime rib is nothing compared to the amazing prime rib we had last weekend at a wedding at Vell's." Many guest also went up for seconds and appreciated that being an option.
We also considered not having a cake but after sitting down with Vell and Dee, they reviewed exactly what we needed for our budget. I'm so glad we went with one because so many guest also commented on how great it tasted. We had a few pieces left over the next day and I'll admit, I was guilty of eating it for breakfast since it was SO good. :)
We met with Vell and Dee almost a year before our wedding and they did a great job of making the planning process stress free. Vell did an amazing job reviewing the menu with us and helped us pick the best food for our budget.
I also had a bit of a hiccup with our florist (lack of my communication) and Dee and the florist arranged everything for me to make sure the flowers were in place for the reception. Above and beyond service, very personable staff and so much fun making great memories of our big day at Vells!

Vells wife Dee was amazing and so responsive to every question I had along the way, she helped with everything I needed going above and beyond to help. The two of them were amazing they made our special day even better with each little thing they did and the great care they took to make sure it was everything we wanted.
The cost of the venue was unmatched by any in the area, I was provided with a sheet at the first meeting that broke down all charges and what the final cost would be and it was exactly as they said. Every package option had a sheet that clearly explained what was included and what extra options I had and their cost I loved that part because I could clearly see what everything would be, none of the other venues could provide us with anything like that when asked.
The staff was amazing so friendly and sweet they were prompt with service even with nearly 200 guest you never waited for drinks, plates were cleared quickly and all done with a smile .
The food was incredible they provide so many sides and main dish options and everything was so good. Our guests were raving about the food and pastries (pastries were included in the package at no extra cost). At the end of the day they packed up all the leftover food and sent it home with us, not many places do that.

However, there were many things we were not happy about.
The owner was very cordial during our meetings throughout the year, but it seemed like as soon as he got his money he did a complete 180. He was rude during our rehearsal and pushy when everything was happening. He referred to my mom as "the lady in the wheelchair" after she introduced herself at the rehearsal. I was mortified! He said everything was handicap accessible and we found out the gazebo was not. When asked how my mom was going to go down the aisle, he said "we'll just roll her through the grass also she's out of the way." He argued a bit when my stepdad insisted on bringing her a ramp.
He didn't give us a definite price until two days before the money was due. He did not inform us some things were not included in the overall total, and it ended up being a lot more than we budgeted.
He also left out the fact that we had to get our own containers to take the food home and my stepdad had to leave the reception to get some.
The bartender kept disappearing and it seemed like every time the owner had a question he went straight for my husband, and he had A LOT of questions. The guy stole him from the reception so much, we got maybe 3 dances together, and we're both still pretty salty about it.
They had two other events going on and seemed to take it out on us that they were overwhelmed. While they go the extra mile to make things very nice, i would not recommend based on our experience.

Everything went by as smooth as possible. When we arrived the food was already on the floor and ready to be served, and they cleaned it up so fast so that we could start the dance portion of our night. I highly recommend this vendor to any bride.

i had major issues with thier service, i have a claim into the BBB. They were ignorant & inconsiderate. They did not treat us fair. I ordered Chicken as 1 of 3 of our main dishes...
and got Spaghetti & Meatballs insted. I don't eat anything but chicken. My Maitron of Honor had to ask someone to clean off the tables. They dumped the cart & broke dishes all over the dance floor when me & my husband were dancing our first dance. It's respect for no one to be on the floor except bride & groom for that dance. We paid extra to have hall til midnight, they shut us down at 11:30. A staff member was overheard by my DJ that "there is an important wedding going on in th Gala Hall, these are just 2 small weddings". we weren't in the Gala hall, we were not treated with the same respect, thats why we had to ask for someone to clean off the tables. Our guests were being served desert with the tables piled with dishes. Terrible experience, would not recommend them to anyone. All they want is your money. The owners wife said she would make things right, however when i called to see what they had agrred to do for us to make things right and the owner (Vell Sr.) screamed at me saying "I'm tired of hearing about your wedding, it was beautiful. You are getting nothing". and then hung up on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!
