UNPARALLEL is a high-energy live wedding and party band based in New York’s Finger Lakes & Southern Tier, bringing unforgettable live music, nonstop energy, mind-bending instrumentals, powerful vocals, and a packed dance floor to weddings throughout New York and Pennsylvania.
Known as one of the fastest-growing live bands in the region, Unparallel has built a reputation for turning weddings and special events into full-on celebrations. Our goal is simple: keep your guests dancing, singing, laughing, and talking about your wedding long after the last song.
What makes Unparallel different? We bring the energy of a major live show while keeping the experience personal and interactive. - Steven Louis luppinoBand Leader, Acoustic Guitar, VocalsEvery great band has a story. Ours began with a dream. Steven Louis discovered his passion for music in Kerrville, Texas, where he spent years performing at open mics before joining the U.S. Army. He completed elite infantry and airborne training and served as a Forward Observer (13F) with the 82nd Airborne Division, 1-504 Parachute Infantry Regiment, and 1st Cavalry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After returning home, Steven continued working while pursuing music whenever he could. In 2021, he met Justin Turner in Penn Yan, NY, and together they created Unparallel Duo. Within their first year, they surpassed 100 bookings and quickly became a familiar name throughout the region. In early 2023, Massachusetts native and veteran drummer Jason Wamboldt joined, forming Unparallel Trio. In April 2024, Nashville recording artist Rocky Burning came aboard as co-frontman and lead guitarist, officially creating Unparallel Band. In 2025, keyboardist Kevin Tapper joined, completing the current five-piece lineup. But the name Unparallel goes back even further. Steven first imagined it in high school, dreaming of building a regional band that could make music a career. Today, that dream is real. Unparallel brings far more than music to a wedding. We create an experience — from deeply emotional moments and unforgettable first dances to mind-bending instrumentals, powerful vocals, and an all-out dance-floor celebration. We read the room, adapt to the crowd, and know when a moment calls for emotion and when it's time to turn the party all the way up. Your wedding only happens once.
