About this vendor
Based in Columbus, OH, we at United Marriage Services are a team of wedding officiants that have conducted over 1,100 weddings since 2010. We provide a high level of professionalism and excellence in upbeat, personalized ceremonies and practical, positive pre-marriage counseling classes! Unlike other wedding officiants, we conduct pre-marriage classes called Marriage Foundations™.
We're a husband and wife team. Damian and Jean have been married since 1984. Damian started working with couples in 1982. Our main goal, as a husband-and-wife team, is to support the health of the marriage. From start to finish, our goal is to see your marriage thrive. We also bring an upbeat tone of celebration to each wedding! We aim to bring peace and stability, helping each bride and groom remain at ease.
We developed the entire curriculum of our Marriage Foundations™ classes and received feedback from our couples years later that what they learned is still helping their marriage! Another unique attribute of our company is our Marriage Coaching, where we continue to empower couples we have married before and other married couples who simply need our help and encouragement today.

! He was straight forward with his expectations to the bridal party and that made it all the better for me! I didn’t have to be “bridezilla” as they say. Damian and Jean are both great people that you will not regret having at your wedding. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with them!

s so professional and organized from the beginning. Damian even continued to communicate with us after the wedding and was a huge help with answering questions and providing us with the resources to help my wife change her last name.
We both took pre-marriage classes with Damian and his wife Jean and they were both amazing! We got to know them and they got to know us even more before our big day.

s a godly man who aligned himself with the Bible.
My now husband and I met with him and I was pleasantly surprised that he told us he liked to get to know the couple before deciding if he would marry them. I found this refreshing bc he wasn’t just a guy looking to get paid, but to truly perform a ceremony for a lasting bond.
Damian was friendly, funny, and felt like an old friend of ours. The wedding ceremony was well planned out and wonderfully successful. Damian’s personality and calming voice was a welcome addition to our wedding.
Damian not only prayed with us but for us more than once. And a year later, he arranged a meeting so we could all catch up. He was lovingly involved beyond any “rent an officiate” business I’ve ever heard of.
Pray about it, and seriously consider hiring this man. He was wonderful and well worth the money, even still.

mplate and that he was very open to us making it our own with editing and rearranging things. I've been to weddings where you can tell that the officiant knew little to nothing about the couple with what they say about the couple during the ceremony and this service was not that; Damian took the time to know us and feel out our vibe and thats what helped give our ceremony the personal touch I wanted. Additionally, we wanted a secular ceremony with a touch of our spirituality and traditions and Damian was very open to that. He has done ceremonies many times so I felt comortable that he would run things smoothly and our day went off without a hitch. He worked well with our venue and vendors. I didn't need much of him the day of since everything was well planned out but I could tell that if there was a snag in our plans he would have been ready to jump in to help smooth it out within reason. He even brough his case of ties for me to pick from so he woulld match us! If you are looking for an officiant who is organized and will help you have that personal touch at a great price, this is your vendor.
We hired Damian as our wedding officiant. Additionally, we purchased Damian and Jean's pre-marital counseling services. We highly recommend both of these. Damian was a phenomena...

ur ceremony reflected our personalities and love story. His professionalism was evident in every interaction, from prompt responses to thorough explanations of the process. What truly set Damian apart was his personal touch; he took the time to get to know us as a couple, weaving our unique journey into the ceremony seamlessly. Our wedding felt like more than just a ceremony; it felt like a celebration of our love, with Damian as a cherished part of our story. We are forever grateful for his role in making our special day absolutely perfect.

wedding day, but they cared about our relationship and invested their time to make sure we were as prepared for marriage as possible.
