OUTSTANDING MUSIC SELECTIONS
Tunes by T has one of the most extensive, up-to-date music libraries in the business. They let you pick as much of the music as you'd like. They'll use your playlist as their guide. You can also let them know how you want them to handle requests from your guests. If you're not sure what will go over well, leave the guesswork to Tunes by T's professionals. They take pride in having the ability to read a crowd and figure out what music will keep them on the dance floor the entire event. They will not use your reception to showcase their "mixing" or "mash-up" skills. The music is presented just like you hear it on the radio, without explicit lyric content and not remixed.

A good DJ can make or break any event - and our wedding was absolute perfection thanks to T; he is truly the best and I cannot overstate how professional, easy to work with, and fu...
n he is. We had several guests coming up to us for days after our wedding telling us that they could not get off the dance floor! T, without you our wedding just would not have been the same. Thank you for bringing the tunes and creating the soundtrack to our love story.
Tunes by T was recommended by our venue, and we completely understand why. He was super professional, personable, and on top of every request and meeting we had. As with all DJ’s, ...
his playlist was huge, but T was able to pinpoint exactly the mood and theme that was going on all day, and we have even had people ask us for the type of music/playlist we had as they are hoping to replicate it.
Our venue encapsulated both the ceremony and reception, but in different places. The ceremony was held down near the river, and the reception was up in the hall towards the top of the property. He arrived early, knew exactly where to go and what to do, hit the timing perfectly on all music requested throughout the night, and kept the party going which was huge for us. He was amazing and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ in the Mid-Michigan or surrounding areas!
We cannot say enough amazing things about Tunes by T! From our first conversation to the final song of the night, T was professional, responsive, and incredibly talented. He took t...
he time to understand the vibe we were going for and played the playlist we created (which we chose to do) and added songs that fit with what we were looking for. The dance floor was packed all night long!
T's energy was contagious, and transitions were seamless. He was able to read the room like a pro and made adjustments on the fly to keep the momentum going.
Our guests still can’t stop talking about how much fun they had and how incredible the T was.
If you're looking for someone who is professional, organized, and knows how to throw an unforgettable party, look no further. Tunes by T was truly one of the best decisions we made for our big day. THANK YOU for helping us make memories that will last a lifetime!
Tunes by T was hired for my brothers wedding as well as mine. He was professional, punctual, very prompt at communicating, read the crowd perfectly (even played a couple kid songs ...
for my niece and nephew who are 4 and 2 years old). During common dance songs he even demonstrated some of the moves off to the side. Hands down I would recommend Tunes for any event!!!
Tunes by T has been an exceptional DJ for three of our family weddings! I cannot recommend his services enough. He completely followed all of our requests and provided exactly th...
e kind of music and entertainment we envisioned for the big day. T absolutely nailed our big entrance announcement which was extremely customized. We received so many positive remarks from guests about the music and the vibe of the dance floor. Tunes by T has exceptional customer service and he truly makes you feel that your wedding is as important to him as it is to you.
T MC'd and DJ'd our postponed wedding reception in November 2021 and he was absolutely amazing! One of the biggest reasons why we wanted to have a wedding reception (Covid ruined ...
our original plans) was to dane and have a good time! To our delight - the dance floor was never empty! T had a great playlist, well balanced for all guests, and amazing energy to keep everyone engaged! With T's help, it was a night that my husband and I will never forget!
T did an absolutely wonderful job with our wedding. He provided audio and music for our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, adjusting to windy weather and a relocated dance floo...
r on the fly. He helped our night go so smoothly and did a great job reading the crowd to keep the dance floor full! We highly recommend his services!
Where do I even begin?! I can’t really put into words how happy we are that we picked Tunes by T to DJ our wedding reception. Music and dancing was one thing my husband and I agree...
d on that we had to pick someone that could read the crowd and T was able to do that without skipping a beat. Literally. A lot goes into wedding planning and as a bride who did it without a wedding planner (not to mention during COVID) I was so thankful that T provides a template to fill out. The template is very thought out and covers everything from how you want the DJ to either interact with guests (or not), if you need extra lights, mics and the most minor detail such as what attire he should where. Without it I would have definitely forgotten our entrance song! He was able to take our artist suggestions for cocktail hour and easily understand what vibe we were looking for and when it came to dancing I don’t think there was ever an empty dance floor. My husband and I got so many compliments about how good T was and how much fun they had and we did too! Can’t thank him enough! If you are still looking for a DJ I would highly recommend Tunes by T !
Tunes by T greatly exceeded our expectations for our wedding! Even through the COVID-19 concerns, T was ready to work around any issues or concerns we had. T was professional and...
easy to work with throughout the entire process, even changing locations at the last minute. We wanted an evening where the DJ could run the show without stealing the show so we could relax and enjoy our day, T made the experience stress free. T showed his experience by offering simple suggestions as when to begin certain dances or activities (First dance, bouquet toss, etc.) to keep guests engaged, without being pushy. Also, his way of playing music throughout the night worked perfectly, knowing exactly how to adjust and transition through the night and keeping guests on the floor until the last moments of the evening! We could NOT have asked for a better evening, T made it effortless and very fun! Thank you for the fantastic evening T!

Tunes by T was, without a doubt, our best wedding vendor in every possible way and we highly recommend booking T for all of your DJ needs!
Our reception was a PARTY! And it's all ...
thanks to T. I can't begin to tell you how many friends and family continue to tell me how great the DJ and music were. One uncle said, "I've been to a lot of weddings, and I have never seen more people out on the dance floor all night long!" From the moment the dancing started, T knew just what to play next to keep the energy up and keep people out on the floor.
Leading up to our big day, T was incredibly easy to work and communicate with. He responded to my many questions quickly and was flexible to changing circumstances (as any 2020 bride will tell you, it's been a rough year for wedding planning! we changed our date and venue more than once and T kept up with all the changes with a kind, understanding, and positive attitude!). His experience as a wedding DJ was evident by the thorough wedding reception planner document he shared with us. He has thought through every possible detail of what you may want or need from a DJ. His guide was so helpful and well laid out, I used it to create my timeline for all our other vendors!
It's so clear that T truly loves what he does - his enthusiasm, passion for music, and experience at creating the party environment you envision are unmatched. Thank you, T, for going above and beyond to bring us a party atmosphere that was even better than we dreamed!
Dj T will go above and beyond for you. Whenever I had questions or concerns he was right there. At my wedding I even had people say that my Dj was one if the best that they've seen...
. He played all the best songs and all the ones I requested. They really know how to put on a great time. Thank you for making my night the best night ever.
We had Tunes by T at our wedding reception in November and have nothing but kind words. We ended up having T as our DJ and he was very professional and had all the guests (even the...
grandparents) on the dance floor the entire night. We received so many compliments from friends and family on how great our DJ was and how much fun they had dancing . We highly recommend Tunes by T!
After getting engaged, Tunes by T was the very first wedding vendor that we contacted (even before we had a venue set!), as we had heard incredible things about them from a family ...
member and did not want to miss out. Our expectations were beyond exceeded and there are truly no words to explain how happy we are with our decision. T. gave us, our friends, and our family a night that we will never forget. Months later, our friends and family still rave about the DJ, the dancing, and the overall professionalism of T. His expertise was evident from the moment we met him. He was organized, accommodating, and unbelievably kind. His genuine, calming demeanor helped make this process stress-free. Our wedding venue posed somewhat of a challenge in that it had three different locations on the property (outdoor ceremony, indoor dinner, and outdoor reception) that required speakers, mics, etc. A few weeks before the wedding, T. met us at the venue to make sure he was familiar with the layout and understood the setup. He completely put our minds at ease and it was clear that he truly wanted our day to be as special as possible. Not only was T. an incredible DJ on our wedding day, he was extremely helpful throughout the planning process. He provided recommendations for music genres for specific times throughout the night (e.g., pre-ceremony music, cocktail/appetizer hour, dinner music, etc.), as well as an extensive list of popular songs. He was so easy to get ahold of and was very prompt with his replies. We highly recommend Tunes by T to be your DJ for any event you have planned. T. loves what he does and this is so evident in his work. T, we are so appreciative of the incredible night you provided to us, our family, and our friends! Five stars honestly is not enough. Thank you, T!
Tunes by T, and more specifically Josh who was the DJ at our wedding in Grand Rapids in October did an outstanding job and we cannot say enough great things about their work. T was...
so easy to work with from start to finish...even accommodated a special song by my late uncle that I danced with my dad to for our father/daughter dance. We were so, so impressed with Josh from start to finish on our wedding day! He had a set up downstairs at our cocktail hour and seamlessly transitioned upstairs to our ballroom. He was so professional and his work was just perfection all night! We received so many compliments on his music selection as well as the great attitude he was putting out over the speakers! Great energy and just a pleasure to work with! Flawless work! Thank you for being an unforgettable part of our perfect day!
Tunes by T provided excellent service before and during our wedding. They cut our first dance songs with great recommendations and a quick turn around. Josh, our DJ, ensured we had...
a good setup for the ceremony, wonderful music and helped us make adjustments as needed during the wedding reception. Very professional, pleasant to work with and great music selections.

me, there was no way something would be forgotten. With a call the week of the wedding, to go over things/pronunciations/timeline it gave me comfort in knowing that everything was in good hands and would run smoothly. We had the honor of having T as our DJ, and I can't say enough thanks and praise about how the night went and T's ability to keep the party going. After our formal dances, T had the idea to move our dance floor to the outdoor patio area, which was a huge hit with our guests and kept people on or at least near the dance floor if they weren't big on dancing, which was especially nice to have all of our guests in the same area. I would Tunes by T, and especially T, to anyone who is in need of a DJ for a wedding, event or party any time soon, you will not regret your decision.
We had Peter from Tune's by T as our DJ for our wedding. He did an incredible job! My husband and I walked out of our initial meeting with him ecstatic knowing that we were having ...
a DJ who not only captured our music style, but instinctively knew what type of music we were looking for at our wedding. He took our suggestions and song requests and added his own to that. Our wedding guests were on the dance floor the entire night, nonstop. Song after song people kept dancing. I would highly recommend Peter at Tunes by T to anyone who wants the people at their wedding to dance all night.
Our experience working with Tunes by T was wonderful from the start and even better by the end! Once we booked our wedding reception date, we received a very thorough packet of inf...
ormation and forms to help organize the evening's events. Included in that packet was a HUGE list of popular songs organized by genre and decade which I found to be super helpful as we wanted to offer music for all of our guests to enjoy. Special shout out to Josh (who was our assigned DJ for the night) for bringing life to our dance floor!! We've received nothing but amazing feedback from our friends and family! Thank you Josh and thank you Tunes by T for helping to create the most memorable night!
We were lucky enough to snag Tunes by T as the DJ for our wedding and reception and could not have been happier with their services! Our DJ, Josh, created such a fun time for us an...
d all of our guests at the reception. He was so easy-going and accommodating yet kept us on our timeline, which he had clearly reviewed extensively and was very familiar with going into the event. And in the months and days leading up to our wedding, T surpassed all our expectations with his warm and personable demeanor, expert organization, help with timeline coordination, and great suggestions. He took the time to edit some of our song clips so that they were the exact length we wanted. He even took it upon himself to send me a few songs he found to accompany our glowing paper airplane send-off at the end of the night. T's years of experience and passion for his work were very evident and really put me at ease. Tunes by T was more than great jams; they were the glue that held our special day together perfectly!
I met T years ago while attending a Detroit Red Wings game. After seeing how energetic the arena was, I knew I would love to have him be the DJ for our wedding, and he was everythi...
ng I was hoping for (and more!). There was never a moment during the night that the dance floor wasn’t full with our family and friends dancing. Not only were there many times throughout the night that T was in the DJ booth also dancing along with the crowd, but one of our favorite moment of the entire night was when he joined us to “C’mon ‘n Ride It (The Train)” and did The Train with us! My husband and I have been to many weddings in the past, and we have never seen a DJ as energetic or who genuinely loves what they do, as what we experienced with T as our DJ. When you book a DJ like T who has mastered the craft, you have peace-of-mind knowing you have someone who can professionally curate your reception and isn’t only playing from a set list of music. We couldn’t have a higher recommendation of having T as the DJ for your wedding.
Kathryn and Jordan – April 13, 2019
We had Tunes by T DJ our 70's themed wedding on 9-8-18. T showed up in a 70's costume (which he was rocking) and kept the partying going on until the last song. Not only did he k...
eep the dance floor full, but he would check in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was running smoothly! People were talking about what a great time they had for many weeks after. Just remember the DJ is the single most important choice of your reception. Choose Tunes by T and you can guarantee your reception will be everything you had hoped for.
The dance floor was packed at our wedding thanks to our DJ from Tunes by T! Our DJ was engaging and played the perfect songs. I HIGHLY recommend booking Tunes by T!
Tunes by T was great! The wedding was held at my father's house and T came by the day before to go over layout and what we were looking for. Pete was our DJ the day of the event. ...
He was perfect. He was involved just the right amount and ensured everyone had fun!
T did an amazing job making sure our wedding ran smoothly! He is simply the best.
We used Tunes by T for our outdoor October Michigan wedding and everything went perfectly. We were able to get a set up in the woods as well that used a very quiet generator to pla...
y music for our guests and a mic for the officiant. Our DJ, Josh, was super energetic and agreed to do a Facetime call with us the week of the wedding to go over all of the details and make sure he had everything just right. No exaggeration, the dance floor was packed all night!
My ONLY feedback is that there is quite a large packet you need to fill out, understandably. However, the set up of it could be improved. Also, as a same sex couple, I wish I didn't have to continue grossing off the word "groom" and writing "bride #2" on each of the lines. It would be nice if that document could be upgraded to be all inclusive, or, have separate version of the document depending on the couple. I should mention however, that there weren't ANY issues with T or his staff that we were a same sex couple, the document just wasn't set up to match that. :)
I am a very satisfied customer! We had Tunes by T at our wedding this year, and they were amazing. T is super friendly and easy to work with. He responded to emails promptly and w...
as willing to take the time to make sure we felt comfortable with our wedding day plan.
The flexibility that this company offers is one of their best aspects. They let you have as much or as little control as you like over the playlist, and really help to make the event exactly how you want it.
We had Josh as our DJ and he was great! Friendly and competent, even when we had some power issues (our wedding was outside at a summer camp with less than ideal power options), he was cool and we got it taken care of. He kept the dance floor going all night, and we got many compliments from our guests afterwards.
Loved, loved, loved! Tunes by T served us very well. Great music selection, seamless flow. They knew exactly how to play to the crowd!

T absolutely went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding. I am still in awe of what an amazing job he did. From start to finish, T made everyone feel comfortable and inv...
olved (what fun!!). He truly cares about what he does, along with his clients. We received SO many compliments throughout the night (and after) in regards to what a great job he did, and James and I truly can't thank him enough for making our wedding so wonderful and memorable! We wouldn't recommend anyone else but him, you would be doing yourself an injustice by going with anyone else. He is one of a kind, and certainly will make your wedding, or any other celebration that absolute best that it can be. Thank you again for everything you did to make our special day so wonderful, our wedding wouldn't of been what it was without you. :)

Thank you T for giving us a magical storybook ending to a perfect day.

ith set up and tear down, and was able to get out in less than 30 minutes. He made our wedding a spectacular party, had great communication and lots of experience! For any party Tunes by T is an amazing company! 10/5 stars.
Tunes by T is the best DJ service for just about any event in the Greater Lansing Area, but especially wedding events.
The company owner, T. Campbell, is one of the more personab...
le individuals you will encounter during the wedding planning. T. Campbell is everything you want to see in an individual who owns a DJ service, and was actually the person, at the wedding site, setting up the equipment and performing sound checks.
The DJ we requested was Josh 'Jb' Benington. I had attended 3 other weddings in which Josh had DJ'd, and each event left me sore from dancing so much.
Josh is an unbelievably talented DJ, easy to work with, and most importantly - a great person. In terms of song selection, Josh plays the music you want played and knows exactly when those songs should be played. Josh conveys emotions by providing the soundtrack to your event. Josh brings great energy, but does not "talk" on the mic all night and take away from the event (unless you want him to DJ that way, in which case, I'm sure he would do his best).
With regard to costs, I think Tunes by T should actually charge MORE for their services. I did a lot of research when considering what DJ to contract for the event, and Tunes by T's prices were below the average median price. This was an exceptional benefit conveyed to our event, for a more-than-reasonable cost.
After it was all said and done, any attendee in which I subsequently spoke with would say something along the lines of "that was the most fun I have had at a wedding in a long time, or ever." A majority of that sentiment can be attributed to Josh 'Jb' Benington, T. Campbell, and Tunes by T.
In short, you would be a fool to hire any other company for you wedding.
Nic Troshak.

T was the best part of our wedding day. He made everything seamless from the booking to the actual day. He is able to assemble and carryout your vision, even if it is incredibly ...
scattered! My husband and I are fun loving and energetic people and it was very important for us to have a laid back atmosphere despite a fancy venue with guests of all ages on the dance floor. He did just that and then some! The dance floor was full the entire night! He also went above and beyond what one would have expected. My husband put together a photo tribute of my father and me, and T went the extra mile to help my fiancé present this. Finally, it is obvious that T loves what he does and puts his whole self into his parties. My husband and I have had people calling us since the wedding asking how to book T because he was "the best DJ at a wedding/party that I have ever been to".
My husband and I used Tunes by T and were very happy with the results. The party went smoothly and our DJ, Josh helped facilitate the events. He was very attentive to requests an...
d our activities as well. People danced to the very end and were pleased with the music choices! I had numerous people comment on how fabulous the DJ was!! Thanks, Josh!
He kept the party going all night and appeared to have as good time as all of my guests
The DJ, Peter, was wonderful. They played the music we wanted and allowed my quests to request music that we thought would be appropriate. Prior to the wedding I was worried how ...
the events of the reception would go, since we didn’t have a wedding coordinator. Peter worked with the photographers and asked us questions as it went. The wedding ended up going so smoothly. My family and friends had so much fun and really liked him. My mom said to me she wished she had him as a DJ for my sisters’ weddings. She was very impressed. I would definitely recommend them for any event.
So, the DJ was OK. I was disappointed that we did a lot of pre work and then he still need to reconfirm everything minutes before announcing the bridal party and then forgot to an...
nounce the ushers and it completely threw off the entrance... also, me and our hostess had to do constant coaching on the type of music he needed specific examples and then could only get a song or two without losing our crowd. However, I will say that he eventually found his groove and was able to keep it going and even stayed a little extra to play a few songs requested by the bridal party.
They found the song we wanted for our first dance even though it wasn't on their original list. The DJ didn't talk too much, but made sure everyone was involved. He stuck to the ...
playlist my husband and I provided him.
T was the greatest! He let us do the music we wanted and got excited with some of the selections too! The best DJ ever and wouldn't have wanted anyone else!
We chose Tunes By T because they have an excellent reputation and were told that they always did an amazing job. We had Josh as our DJ, and he was great in our meeting about one m...
onth prior to the wedding. We completed the Reception Planner document and gave Josh a CD with all of our key music on it, including an edited version of one of the songs. At the reception, though, there were two significant issues. First, during our grand entrance, Josh announced us and called me the wrong name. He called me my twin sister's name. Prior to the bridal party's entrance, Josh came and showed me his paperwork and I verified that all of the names and pairings were correct. Even when he discovered that he made the mistake, he didn't attempt to correct himself. After we got to the head table, Josh came up and apologized for misreading his paperwork. Then, he announced the Father-Daughter Dance, and my dad and I went out to dance and Josh was playing the wrong song. I looked over to him and told him it was the wrong song, so he had to stop the music and start the correct song in the middle of our dance. Josh told my fiance that his CD skipped and that's why the wrong song was played. At least when the correct song was played it was the edited version that we gave him on the CD. The rest of the night he kept people on the dance floor and played many of our must-play songs. We were happy with his music selections, but I was disappointed that two key moments for me were done incorrectly.
Tim with Tunes by T was very professional and selected the perfect DJ in his employ. Josh, thank you for a job well done.
