True Cuisine

rries while planning. I had several guests mention the food was exceptional and the best wedding food they've had. On the day of, the staff helped in so many ways like lighting the candles and setting out the menus. They intentionally came to give my husband and I some appetizers because we weren't able to join the cocktail hour. Also, they set aside some cupcakes for us to take home since we didn't get to the dessert table. TRULY AMAZING!

thing like other wedding food; it tastes completely homemade. Their communication was professional and timely as well. I would recommend TrueCuisine for anyone in the Chicagoland area if you want your guests walking away saying "It was the best food we have had at a wedding".

itial tasting to the most detailed aspects of planning to setting up the tables, place cards, menus, etc. She made everything feel seamless, thoughtful, and completely tailored to us. On the wedding day, the True Cuisine team executed everything beautifully. The service was professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. We got the lemon chicken and Tri-Tip steak... so delicious and we had some leftovers that we enjoyed the next week! What truly sets them apart, though, is how deeply they care. During cleanup, something of great sentimental value to me was accidentally lost. Their team didn’t just brush it off—they searched everywhere, retraced their steps, and ultimately found it… in the trash! That level of dedication meant so much. A special thank you to Sandra, who showed incredible care and determination in helping recover it. We are beyond grateful to the entire True Cuisine team. If you’re looking for a caterer that delivers exceptional food, flawless execution, and a team that truly cares, look no further. Cannot recommend them enough!

cken and waffles app and the burnt ends!!

friendly, kind, organized, and helpful—you can truly tell how much they care about you and about making your event a success. They made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free, delivering exceptional service along with absolutely amazing, high-quality food. They made us feel so special on our wedding day and were such a huge support throughout. Our guests are still raving about the food and said they’ve never had such delicious food at a wedding—the late-night snack was a huge hit too! We cannot recommend True Cuisine/SBR Events enough!

e had such a lovely time at our tasting with Lauren and our families, and it made us even more excited for the big day. During our wedding walkthrough, they were incredibly thorough—making sure inventory was up to date and that every detail was accounted for, from the dinner table setup to smaller touches like our place card table. They also worked closely with us to accommodate family allergies and ensured the entire menu was free of peanuts and tree nuts, which gave us great peace of mind. We’re still getting compliments on the food, and we’re so grateful we got to work with the True Cuisine team to make our wedding day so special.

me and my husband. We got so many compliments from our guests after our wedding.

ed to what our wedding colors. The food from the tasting to the wedding itself was spot on - just as amazing and delicious! Their pricing for plated meals were affordable as well. Their staff made sure my husband and I were taken care of from providing appetizers specifically for us to ensure we ate as well as passing them to our guests during cocktail hour. My guests appreciated their services and all complimented how amazing the food was.

commend for a wedding or big event!

ering emails. THE FOOD!!! was absolutely delicious!!! Every guest complimented how great the food was. Every Filet was cooked to perfection and the flavor in all our dishes was top notch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

edding plates, made sure we were happy all night, and were very kind. Highly recommend!

er and drinks throughout the night. All of the food was delicious and the service was incredible!

ed in doing that. There is not an item on their menu that was not delicious (which made picking our menu so difficult)! Our whole process working with the team was amazing - it was smooth, painless, and removed a lot of the stress of wedding planning. We initially found True Cuisine through our venue (The BRIX on the Fox). True Cuisine/SBR host weddings at they BRIX almost every weekend and are truly a well-oiled machine their. They executed the day flawlessly and were so professional, kind, and on top of everything. The timing was impeccable and our guests did not go hungry through the event. They even especially catered to our guests with allergies/dietary preferences (since we did buffet style) and made sure those guests had individual plates made for them. We truly had a great experience with this team - from the tasting, to the coordination/planning, to the day of. We would recommend them to all couples planning a wedding and in need of catering. Thank you True Cuisine! We are so grateful to you!

one of our favorites. On the wedding day, everything was just as delicious as we remembered from the tasting, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. The team was so easy to communicate with throughout the process, and I truly felt taken care of from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for great food and a smooth, stress-free experience.

didn’t run out of water at all as they were diligent in filling glasses through the event.  We did buffet style with two entrees and a third vegetarian entree, veggies, mashed potatoes, soup, and salad. We got the late night coffee table and late night snacks that included cobblers, pizza, tacos, and burger sliders. Almost every guest went up to get a second plate after finishing their first. As the bride, I also stacked my plate high with the food. The guests couldn’t resist the late night snacks. The late night snacks were a massive HIT with the guests! As my husband and I were making our rounds to talk to guests, everyone complimented the food and many asked us “Who catered the wedding?”  We had a lot ordered food-wise from True Cuisine to cater for us… and the prices were SO reasonable compared to other caterers that did not offer as many options(and if they did have the option, the prices were noticeably higher). We tried a total of three different caterers and ultimately the FOOD was better and the prices were also better.  I have family members that have dietary restrictions and the True Cuisine team were wonderful in adjusting the menu so that they could have something to eat at the wedding! We discussed the dietary restrictions months in advance. And the True Cuisine team made sure to remember. True Cuisine themselves asked about the dietary restrictions multiple times (mostly about individual ingredients) so they could make sure the food for the wedding would work for some members of my family! They did not have any issues after eating the food and commented that the food tasted amazing.  Meghann from True Cuisine has been working with us for months preparing for the wedding with us. Helping us adjust our menu and even helped us out with getting a second tasting to adjust the menu. Getting linen samples and choosing the linens were a breeze too.  Sandra was our event coordinator the day of the wedding and she was PHENOMENAL. She made sure we had our food during the wedding.  We signed the waivers and got all the leftover food, amazingly packed up by True Cuisine, and brought it all home. I am so excited to eat it all through then next week. So YES the food is THAT GOOD.  If you want a team that accommodates to dietary restrictions, is professional, diligent,  flexible to work with, and AMAZING FOOD then True Cuisine is who you should go with for your wedding.

list so we went to the restaurant, tried the food, and decided to give them a shot. I'm so glad we did, as they exceeded our expectations! From the beginning, everyone we worked with was very helpful, accommodating, and got back to us quickly with answers to any questions we asked. We chose to go without a wedding planner and figure out everything ourselves, and the True Cuisine team was very helpful on the day of, setting up our centerpieces and favors and giving us guidance where we needed it. The food was outstanding! We got so many compliments from our guests! All of the staff did an excellent job and everyone we talked to was very friendly. The services they provided were set up/tear down/clean up of the reception, provided all food, dessert table, late night snack, and full bar. I'm so glad we went with SBR/True Cuisine and I couldn't recommend them more for your special day!

onable. They checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the whole process went to smoothly. If you want incredible food, go with them!

ehensive at first about going with a buffet style, however once we did the tasting and evaluated the options, we decided this made sense for us. Our guests absolutely loved the food and the True Cuisine team pulled off the buffet beautifully. The staff timed it so well where none of the tables were waiting too long before they could go up for their plate. For any guests with mobility issues, the TC staff served plated meals directly to their seats. This detail was much appreciated and we were told how kind and professional the staff was. Jacob was extremely detail oriented and identified any potential issues when it came to a few of our guests' food allergies as well to avoid any mishaps and helped make sure all bases were covered for dietary needs. The tables were also set up perfectly and looked very sharp. Going with true cuisine was money well spent!

red solutions to customize the menu based on our needs. They were incredibly organized and great communicators throughout the entire planning process. Their event team worked well with our coordinator and venue team in the days leading up to the wedding. On the wedding day, they were fully staffed and delivered fast service. We received many compliments on the food from our guests. We were thrilled!

en them anyways! We had excellent communication throughout the whole process from everyone we worked with, and they helped us customize our package to be exactly what we needed. The staff with us day-of were detailed oriented and made the reception run so smoothly. Of course, the food was also delicious! We had many guests tell us how good it was, and that they went up for seconds.

ng with fan favorites, that provided a delicious menu that our guests (and we) loved. We received so many compliments on both food and service. My husband and I felt so cared for by the staff at the event who saved appetizers for us and brought us our plates from the buffet so we could have a few moments to sit. I highly recommend the team at True Cuisine given their incredible attention to detail and of course, delicious food.

ngs as smooth as possible the day of the wedding. Their staff is incredibly professional, and the food was delicious, especially the pancetta stuffed chicken and ancient grain stuffed peppers!

cue just few weeks before our ceremony after our previous vendor canceled last minute. Despite the short notice, their staff was incredibly accommodating and professional. Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply amazing! The steak and salmon were cooked to perfection, and the flavors were exceptional. True Cuisine also offers a selection of beautiful silverware, adding an elegant touch to our event. I cannot say enough about Meghann, who was a delight to work with. Her attention to detail and dedication to ensuring everything went smoothly were truly appreciated. Luiz was also the star of the day leading and coordinating the team. Overall, I highly recommend True Cuisine catering service - they saved the day and made our event unforgettable!

nning and patient with some of our specific questions about serving some wine we already had that we wanted to bring in as part of the celebration. We had a great experience at our tasting with such a wide variety of items and pricing was very fair for the quality. We also noted the leftovers we had from the tasting and our wedding tasted delicious days later! Our guests cannot stop raving about what a delicious meal they had and say this is the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. We went with short rib, pancetta stuffed chicken, and the wild mushroom pasta. The team on the wedding day was also so helpful with arranging a few items on our guest tables! Thanks so much to Lauren, Sara Claire, Jacob, and the rest of the team. It was a pleasure working with you all and we hope to have another occasion to work with True Cuisine!

From the cute bride/groom napkin folds to the way the wrapped our leftovers to go. Our guests raved about the food and service. Thank you, True Cuisine team!

cular (we're still getting compliments) and the service was great. On the wedding night, the shift leader checked on us, got to know us, and helped make it the perfect night. We highly recommend - get the potato samosas :)

o wedding planning, my husband and I knew how important food is to a wedding and how it can impact the overall guest experience for better or worse. It was also super important to us and we could not be happier with our experience. Everything was delicious – from the appetizers, to the main courses, to ending with our late-night snack (Chicago hotdogs!) – and the process was super easy. We chose a plated menu of chicken, fish and vegetarian options, and each selection was so beautifully plated. True Cuisine was a preferred vendor from our venue, but we were instantly sold on their wide variety of options and the fact that they fit our budget. Lauren and the True Cuisine staff were super helpful and gracious with their time in working with us to create a menu; even setting up and walking us through a taste testing session at their office (something we highly recommend doing if you’re having trouble deciding between options!). Sara Claire was super communicative in the days leading up to the wedding in nailing down last-minute organizational details. She helped us create the table floor plan, seating/place card spreadsheet and final food/allergy tallies and even brought us our own private tray of appetizers so that we could enjoy a private moment alone before joining our cocktail hour. We highly recommend using True Cuisine to cater your wedding or big event and can’t wait to have a reason to use them again in the future.

s with creating our menu and allowing us to have two food tastings so we could really try everything we wanted! We are very happy we decided to hire them as our caterers! 10/10

and floor plans, always providing timely responses and showcasing an impressive depth of knowledge. On our wedding day, the staff truly exceeded our expectations. They were kind, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease. We felt confident that everything was under control, which allowed us to focus on enjoying our special day. The set-up was absolutely stunning; True Cuisine captured our vision perfectly with the table and linen placements. We received countless compliments from our guests about the food—everything was delicious! Thank you, True Cuisine, for making our wedding day unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience!

balls and a buffet that included pancetta stuffed chicken, brisket, potatoes, asparagus, rolls, and a berry salad. And everyone we've spoken to since our wedding has immediately shared how delicious our food was! Not the mention the staff was so attentive and friendly! Our guests were SO impressed! Leading up to the big day, the folks at True Cuisine were so responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process! Jacob, Lauren, and Sarah Claire were all a delight to work with. I cant' recommend True Cuisine enough!

make all of their meals completely on site, their ability to customize and accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences allowed us to serve everyone what they really wanted! When there was some confusion with the meal markers, they quickly accommodated anyone that was expecting a different meal - just another perk of cooking completely on site! Working with them was so much fun; they allowed us 2 tastings to confirm our menu was exactly what we wanted, and they were very open to us modifying menu options to include our favorite sides and flavors. They really made our foodie dreams come true!

raving about how good the food was. From inventive apps, to delicious mains - the food was SO good. The team was also incredible during the planning process - you can tell that they are true experts and love the work they do. It is also important to note how transparent they are with their pricing, this really set them apart from competitors and it is something that we greatly appreciated!

honestly the most delicious option! We chose a BBQ buffet and got so many comments from guests about how much they loved the food, and oddly a lot of questions about what the coffee was because they really loved that too. Planning was a breeze with this stellar team, who were so kind and lovely to work with. They were so on top of any small changes we needed to make to our contract, were eager to answer all of our questions and were very accommodating for the wide variety of allergies we had in our party (gluten, tomatoes, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, citrus, pork, garlic, onion) and helped us identify changes to make to our menu so everyone would have enough food and any plated meals we needed for where the buffet couldn't fit the allergy. The staff were so kind and helpful on our wedding day, making sure we were well hydrated and fed. Everyone was a dream to work with and really made our wedding day feel special!

x11 sheet of food allergies and intolerances including gluten and am very difficult to feed in a shared kitchen. We were very lucky our chef Mike has a personal commitment to food safety as he has family members that have food allergies. He and his staff did his best he could to keep me and my guests with food issues safe. Our tasting at the True Cuisine space was perfect. Sara Claire took excellent care of us in the tasting and planning process! We decided to have a fully gluten free wedding to keep me safe. On the day of the wedding, everyone who was able to eat the food raved about how delicious it was and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. I have only one friend that attended with severe dairy and peanut allergies who was not able to eat her meal due to confusion in the kitchen. The kitchen also served me (the Bride) the wrong salad and main dish initially. They corrected these errors quickly for me. Sadly, I had an anaphylactic reaction at the end of the wedding reception from our late night snack: chips and dip. We were not able to fully determine what allergen I reacted to as all recipes were the same as our tasting. My allergist and I believe as the chips were made fresh, that the mobile fryer may have had some of my known allergens in it from previous use. As said previously, it is difficult to feed me from a shared kitchen but True Cuisine did the best they could. My husband and I are glad our guests enjoyed the food and I am ok! We recommend them if you do not have as many allergies as I do!

d providing the quote after selecting. They also provided a handy overall wedding checklist that helped us with planning. The tasting was amazing and they were very accommodating with adding my parents as last minute attendees. It was great walking through all the food options, taking out notes, and ultimately selecting what we loved! Unlike some other weddings we've been to, the food translated great when mass produced on wedding day. We got raving reviews for weeks to come from many of our family and friends! The professionalism was top notch while still being very friendly to our guests. Our only recommendation would be to ask the caterer how many drinks are expected with each plan because we ran out a few drinks. Overall great experience and would highly recommend for any wedding!!

bbq station for cocktail hour and the late night mac and cheese bar were big hits. Thank you, True Cuisine!

stopper! Not only was all the food incredible, the communication and dedication their team had to making our big day special was amazing. So attentive both day of and in the planning process, I had such a specific vision for tableware and they delivered above and beyond! I highly recommend their services to anyone in the Chicagoland area!

uests are still raving about the food, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The team at True Cuisine was a pleasure to work with. They were incredibly professional, attentive, and responsive to all our needs and preferences. From our initial consultation to the big day, they guided us through every step of the process, ensuring that our menu reflected our tastes and the theme of our wedding. Their creativity and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the catering. The food itself was simply outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Our guests enjoyed a delectable array of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, all prepared with the finest ingredients. The variety and quality of the menu options were impressive, catering to all dietary preferences and restrictions. It was clear that True Cuisine takes pride in their culinary artistry. The service on the day of the wedding was impeccable. The staff was courteous, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. They seamlessly managed the setup, service, and cleanup, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day without any worries. The attention to detail was remarkable, from the perfectly timed courses to the beautifully arranged buffet and stations. True Cuisine Catering helped make our wedding day magical with their superb food and exceptional service. They truly understand the importance of creating a memorable dining experience, and they delivered beyond our wildest dreams. If you're looking for a catering service that combines culinary excellence with top-notch service, look no further than True Cuisine Catering. They made our wedding day extraordinary, and we can't thank them enough!

ever had at a wedding. Meghann was extremely helpful & accommodating during the planning process. Anything I needed she made sure it was taken care of. Our day of coordinator Luis was awesome as well as all of the staff there. Everyone was super friendly and always on top of everything. Immediately after the ceremony was over we had a drink in hand and apps in our bridal suite for us. We were blown away by the food and everything from start to finish. We hope to have an event in the future to use them and have their delicious food again!

h, and the food was outstanding. The team was professional, attentive, and responsive to all our needs. They truly made the planning process a breeze. On the day of the wedding, everything was executed flawlessly. The staff was punctual, well-organized, and on top of it the entire night. As for the food – it was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was beautifully presented, flavorful, and the perfect temperature. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The Pancetta Stuffed Chicken was a hit! They truly helped make our special day even more memorable. We highly recommend True Cuisine to anyone looking for exceptional catering services. Thank you for helping make our wedding day so perfect!

dietary needs were met, and even recommended the black cherry brisket, which our wedding guests still talk about! Overall the staff, food, and entire event was a huge success and beyond our expectations! We would highly recommend True Cuisine to anyone looking for catering needs for a wedding!

g staff were so friendly and attentive. Our only complaint is that there were some communication hiccups leading up to the wedding, including a day-of miss with a planned toast. With that aside, we would happily recommend True Cuisine.
