When we booked our venue the events coordinator was amazing. I felt very confident and knew I wouldn't need to worry, she would handle everything. But then she left and was repla...
ced with someone that was very difficult to work with. Working with this venue was by far the most frustrating aspect of our wedding. On the day of things were not done as discussed and there were many things that needed to be changed. Also staff was not very kind to my guests. If I could do it all over again I would have chosen a different venue, but you can't change that on the day of, so I had to let it go. It's a beautiful venue with a great view but that's about it.
My experience with Town Point was excellent. Abby is an amazing person to work with. She was there to assist me in anyway possible. The view from the venue is beautiful. The fo...
od was great. You will not be disappointed!!
Having Town Point Club as a reception venue offered us the best of everything:
-Excellent food & drink, pre-event tasting of food so we could make the best choices
-Incredible v...
iew of Norfolk's waterside at sunset
-Very accommodating and attentive TPC staff
The bride and groom were thrilled with the whole event and wouldn't change anything:
-Specialty drinks for the bride and groom
-Pre-Reception area for bridal party to fluff up and have snacks & drinks before their big debut!
Amazing venue for the big day, all of the months of planning paid off and everything went off without a hitch!
With a limited budget and a more limited timeframe (less than 60 days!), Brianna and the staff at Town Point Club were amazing! They did all the set up, recommended a great baker a...
nd DJ, and overall, made the process so easy and quick, especially with our busy professional lives and our quick timeline. The chef even made some special appetizers to match our hometowns. Our guests were blown away by the service, the food, and the views!
I held my wedding reception at the Town Point Club on June 1st and I must say the service is excellent! I'm not sure the price is worth it, as I feel the space is a little small an...
d you can have the same experience for less money at another venue, but I think in essence you are paying for the name and location. Somehow the top tier of my wedding cake was cut without our permission, but other than that I have no complaints. No one is able to say who actually gave permission, as the club is stating the baker, but the baker denies the claim. Either way I can still say that working with Abby and the staff was a pleasure and the food is great!
The Town Point Club made planning a wedding a stress-free experience. Abby Bailey, the private event coordinator, is absolutely incredible! She's an expert and she is extremely per...
sonable and approachable. I planned my wedding from North Dakota, so everything was accomplished via phone and email. Abby worked with my budget, she designed my reception layout, and she created the reception agenda. I had 3 months to plan the wedding and had zero knowledge of wedding planning - Abby's knowledge and assistance was priceless!
The chef at Town Point was also wonderful. My husband and I didn't want to serve food that our guests wouldn't recognize or couldn't pronounce the name of, so the chef made us a custom menu! We had boneless wings, shredded barbecue, a mashed potato bar, and other comfort foods. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Everything I have to say about Town Point is positive. The view was beautiful, the reception was perfect, and the service was excellent!
If you're a bride-to-be that's considering Town Point for your wedding/reception and you have any questions about my experience, please feel free to email me! Erika.Faye@hotmail.com
I paid a ton of money and regret it! The food is great but they were careless. The waitstaff threw away everything at the end while people were still there! They will throw your gi...
fts, favors and cake in the trash..even if they say they will pack up everything for you!
Our Town Point Club reception was not only classy and fun, but everyone talked about the great service! Abby Bailey is incredibly helpful and quick to respond to emails & phone...
calls (always something a bride loves!)
A few minor set backs that overall didn't really make or break the evening, but may want to brought to their attention.
-The door to the terrace is broken and kept locking people out
-We didn't receive the kids meals that we ordered
-One of the staff cut our top layer of cake (ahhhhh)
Overall TPC was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend them!
I could not be happier with my venue selection. Town Point Club had everything I was looking for. I wanted my ceremony and reception in the same place, and the club had the perfe...
ct spaces for both. The ceremony room had a beautiful view of the water with a whole wall of windows. It was the perfect backdrop. My guests had a short walk down the hall to the main dining room for the cocktail hour and reception. Members waitstaff were waiting for them with hors d'oeuvres and my specialty cocktails.
The reception space was great. The club set up the dance floor in the main dining room and the bar in the smaller connecting room. The space was transformed into a beautiful reception area with my linens, chairs, pipe and draping, and lighting rentals. I used the club's tables, plates, cutlery, and glassware, which saved me money on rentals.
I worked with the chef to create the perfect meal to serve to my guests. We scheduled a tasting, and I have to say narrowing the food selections down was one of the most difficult parts because everything was delicious. My guests were very pleased with the surf and turf dinner. The waitstaff and bartenders were all very professional and we had no complaints. They even helped with the champagne for the toast and cake cutting.
Abby Bailey was so easy to work with and very accommodating. She gave me vendor suggestions when I asked. We met many times, including the week before the wedding to make sure all the arrangements were in place. Abby scheduled delivery and set up with all the vendors, so I had nothing to worry about on my wedding day. I would highly recommend Town Point Club for your wedding ceremony and reception.
The appetizers were good. The entrees were OK.
Abby was so great to work with and the Chef even tweaked the menu to include all that we wanted. The room was beautiful much of which was done by the staff at the club. Couldn't ha...
ve been happier with Town Point. Guests had nothing but positive things to say about the food. Only small thing is they ran out of certain types of alcohol when the groom was asking for it. It was eventually replenished, so it was fine...just something small he wanted to include in the review. Otherwise I am very happy with everything!
They were very helpful and it is a great location. Staff are very friendly.

ork with us on every detail, and what we really wanted to accomplish with the event. She was not pushy, instead very helpful and sweet! The club is beautiful, and has been freshly renovated, and you can't beat the view of the park and river. The food was wonderfully prepared, including serving guests with several dietary restrictions. The venue is lovely, but the service at Town Point is what really shines, everyone from the valet to the head chef was helpful, polite, and went above and beyond to make our big day special! If we had to do it all over, we would choose the Town Point club again in a heart beat!
