Tom Forrest Photography

ple photographers work. What I missed in them all wasn't their lack in technical photographic ability, but they were void in capturing moments. The moments and exchanges of love during our wedding is what meant the most to us and what we hoped would be captured by our photographer. The photos I found with people all seemed staged until I saw Tom's photos. From that moment, I could not email him fast enough to inquire about his availability for our wedding and the rest is history. Tom Forrest cares about what weddings truly mean, and he brings every ounce of energy to be present, focused and mindful to the moments throughout your entire wedding day. Tom provided us with hundreds of photos, each of which he then shared in color and black & white. His work is astounding and there were so many photos that we wanted to share that it was like choosing a grilled cheese sandwich at the Melt, but you just cannot go wrong. The following are some of the elements worth recognizing that brought us fulfillment in Tom's work, and we hope to capture as many details as we can that resonated with us that you may be seeking too. Tom is passionate about all aspects of his profession, and he is incredibly talented in his technical ability and in aesthetic composition. Everyone of his photos is a piece of art. His intent focus and presence the entire day produced countless photos of various distance, depth of field, seriousness and moments of fun. He captured motion and emotion, portraits and group shots, scenery and sensation and so much more. All the while we and others after the wedding commented how they never saw him and couldn’t believe the photos he took. Tom was "invisible in the scene”, not wanting to bring any attention to himself yet somehow was right there to catch the smile, tear or gesture of affection between us or our guests. We love looking at our photos because he photographed all of our family and friends who we got to see celebrating with us. We felt we never missed a moment of our wedding with all that he captured—he even photographed the band members playing for our big day and our lovable dog early on. Again, it wasn't only his talent, but his person-ability, genuine care for us and the energy he put into all aspects of his work that earned his ultimate 5-star rating. Tom is a gem of a photographer in Cleveland.

rompt on replying back to emails and was always willing to meet in person for my last minute bridal freak outs. I am happy we chose Tom and would recommend him to anyone!

helpful and made sure that he knew exactly which moments we wanted captured. The day of the wedding he was punctual and professional. We had so many family and friends coming up to us to compliment Tom on how friendly he was. When we received our final photo gallery about 3-4 weeks after the wedding, we were so surprised at all of the moments that he captured without us even knowing he was there. You can tell that photography is truly his passion and he is very flexible and accommodating to make sure that you get the shots you're wanting.

– and we needed a photographer who could roll with uncertainty. We found that in Tom, and the end result was a fantastic portfolio that captured the real emotion and the important moments. Friendly and professional, Tom took great care during the planning phase to ensure that he would be telling our story the best way possible. Tom spent time getting to know us – even though we lived out of state and communicated mostly through email and phone. He genuinely took an interest in our story, and that made us feel like more than just clients to him. As our day approached, he drew on his experience to help us shape our day in a way that accomplished everything we sought, and his wedding day timeline was tailored to our needs perfectly. On our wedding day, Tom went above and beyond. He was a one-man photographic band, shooting artsy portraits of the bride’s accessories and the room décor one minute, and behind-the-scenes preparations the next. He easily corralled loud and large Italian and Irish families for group portraits and skillfully orchestrated the first look. During the ceremony and the toasts, we hardly noticed Tom was there. He blended in and did his thing while we did ours. During the reception, Tom cheerfully worked the dance floor. Through it all, Tom seemed to be having as much fun as we were. He promised to get us our photos within three to four weeks of our wedding. And he kept that promise. We spent hours reviewing the images and reliving our day – laughing and crying at moments we witnessed and others that we hadn’t but that Tom had captured without us knowing. Tom and his work were everything we had hoped to find and more. He is worth every penny, and you won’t be sorry you hired him!

pictures were beautiful and he worked so hard the entire day to make sure all moments were captured!

nteract with us throughout both our engagement photos and throughout our wedding! He also gave me some excellent advise throughout the wedding planning process as I didn't have a wedding planner and was my go-to vendor when I had questions about the wedding day timeline. I knew that I loved his style upon seeing his portfolio and I have absolutely loved all of the photos that he has delivered to us! I would highly recommend him to any couple looking for an amazing photographer in the Cleveland area!

ng prep session, which put me completely at ease that the wedding photos would turn out beautifully. The weather did not cooperate for our wedding day, but Tom did a great job of capturing beautiful outdoor photos. We even received many compliments from family members who were impressed with how well he worked through the posed portraits with all the little kids. The other impressive aspect was that he was able to get our "thank you" card photo turned around in about a week and our entire photo gallery in about 4 weeks. We also received a beautiful disc booklet with all our photos that is much more of a keepsake than I was expecting. Would use him again for future special event photo shoots.

ay. The word spectacular does not even cover how amazing our photos are. We requested that Tom capture the moment at the wedding rather than having staged pictures. Tom managed to do more than that, he has managed to give us a life long memory, with the most phenomenal photographs. He caught every smile, every look and most of all, he caught the love that my husband and I had for each other on our wedding day. He truly is a fantastic person to work with, he has a fabulous sense of humor and he is extremely discreet and professional. To say Tom has a talent is an instatement, is he exceptional. Being a bride and groom, you miss most of your wedding day being so busy, but Tom has given us the chance to live our day everyday, with the highest quality and the most beautiful memories. Tom came to us highly recommended and now we know why!! In addition, to our obsession over our photos, everyone on Facebook, Instagram, in the office has been reaching out to us wanting to know who took our photos. People have said to me multiple times, that they have never seen such 'incredible', 'astonishing' 'mesmerizing' photos. Tom Forrest... we cannot thank you enough for giving us the chance to live our wedding day everyday through our memories.

Tom is so easy to work with and is truly talented in his ability to capture those special moments during your big day. I highly recommend using Tom Forrest - you will not be disappointed!!!

AMAZING! We cannot wait to show off our album!

a little pricier than some of the other area photographers, but the cost shows in the quality of his work. During the ceremony and reception, my husband and I never even knew he was there because he blended in so well. He was incredibly genuine and easy going, making the posed shots enjoyable. Overall, a standout choice in personality and professional quality work.

the wedding and afterwords we had several great pictures. Not the least expensive but well worth it. Our photos had a very natural look. He was great making them look good.

every single one...and that is 1500 pictures!!

hing from the shots you need to get to the real candid shots that really capture the day and all the special moments. He was able to control the guests and make sure we got pictures with everyone. Because of Tom, every part of our wedding day will be remembered forever!

great shot. We haven't seen the photos yet but I'm sure we won't be disappointed!

m kept in consistent conversation and we had three meetings to discuss details of the wedding day. I greatly appreciated his organization and relaxed personality. I never thought I would work with a photographer who actually helped to keep me calm-- it was wonderful. The day of the wedding Tom was working hard but respectful, compassionate and relaxed the entire time. He provided the ideal amount of direction throughout picture-taking (not too much and not too little). He and Kevin worked well with our videography team and we felt so fortunate to have them capture our day!

solutely hilarious, which made them loosen up and have fun with the bridal party pics. I got a sneak peek of my wedding pics on his blog and they look amazing! I would highly recommend Tom to all future brides and grooms!

gives you a CD to make as many prints as you want. It takes him a little bit longer than some to get things to you, but it's worth the wait!! I highly recommend him!

re. We had so much fun working with him and hope to keep in contact with him!
