Tom Barnes aka DJ Tooth

. I would not hesitate to recommend him! Thank you Tom!

tion to our event timeline. The day of, he kept the timeline running smoothly and brought a lot of great energy and of course good music the whole night. Throughout the reception, he took the time to help us out in certain ways that we really appreciated, like getting us drinks for dinner and giving us tips and advice on how to make the most of our time celebrating with our guests.

worked with us as our date changed multiple times. He answered every single question I had, and accommodated my excessively detailed song list and requests. Tom even did the wedding music for our ceremony, innovatively running the speakers through his car when he realized the ceremony site didn’t have electricity. Tom was extremely professional on our wedding day. He was a blast and kept the party moving seamlessly from event to event. When our buffet dinner was slightly delayed, Tom suggested people get salads first to kill time and that made it seem to our guests as if dinner was right on time. He clearly has a lot of experience in his field. One of my favorite parts was how Tom was able to be a presence at our event without stealing the show. He made sure people were dancing and having fun but he wasn’t obnoxious or over the top like many other DJs I’ve seen. I was very impressed by DJ Tooth and I highly recommend him for any of your DJ needs.

d kept it fun for the whole crowd. At one point I even saw him helping to serve food during the dinner! He was very professional, easy to work with, and I'd highly recommend him for your event!

time. Even the little ones! He invited them behind the scenes to dj and it was so cute. We really enjoyed working with Tom and totally recommend him!

pleasure when Tom was available. He swooped in and gave us a sense of relief. His reviews do NOT let him down! He was the heart and soul of our wedding. He asked for our drink order and personally delivered it while also selecting precisely the songs we wanted to hear. As a couple whose relationship is founded in music, Tom went the extra mile to ensure we would hear what we wanted to hear, even if he had to play it again! I swear, our bridal party and parents didn’t leave the dance floor once. Please hire Tom for your event. From one anxious person to another, I can assure you you won’t be disappointed.

that we love and didn't really care if anyone else danced to (but they did anyway). He respected our "do not play" list and gave him free reign during dinner. Tom was incredibly easy to work with and he provided the perfect additions to our wedding ceremony and reception alike, and an amazing emcee to boot. If you hire him and he asks, definitely splurge for the uplighting. It made such a difference to our space and was absolutely worth it. If you want everyone dancing at your reception, definitely hire Tom.

definitely hire Tom again!!!

set up a virtual meeting (given that my husband and I lived out of state) to meet and discuss his approach before booking. I also appreciated that right before the wedding he sent us a form to fill out for us to share song preferences, wedding day timeline, and lots of other helpful information to make our day run smoothly. Overall Tom was easy to get along with, professional, flexible, and considerate - he was happy to talk through COVID precautions before the wedding, and during the wedding he checked on me and my husband multiple times throughout the night to see if we needed anything. We definitely enjoyed working with Tom and would recommend DJ Tooth!

the room and keeping the party going! He was also so attentive to me and my husband, making sure we had everything we needed and making sure things ran smoothly/on time. He also went out of his way to make sure my grandma had what she needed.. my grandma went upstairs during cocktail hour to sit on a couch we had rented so she could be comfortable and Tom saw her sitting alone, went downstairs, got her a tray of appetizers and brought them up to her so she didn’t miss out on anything. It was just little things like this that he did throughout the night that was completely unexpected from our DJ and was so appreciated and so thoughtful. Not to mention, the music was fantastic.. he was able to merge my husband and i’s styles, with all of the great hits that get people on the dance floor. He also knew the perfect songs to play to end the night! Cannot say enough good things about DJ Tooth.. highly highly recommend! Wish I could give him more than 5 stars!

ks or whatever we needed. He was also great at communicating with us leading up to the wedding. Highly recommend Tom Barnes!

s a plate of appetizers to eat during pictures 2. Kept us on schedule once we finished our bridal party entrance 3. Included Disney music during dinner after my MOH mentioned my love of disney in her speech 4. Gave us advice throughout the night 5. Made sure we didn't miss the last song of the night If given the opportunity, we'd hire him again in a heartbeat. Two thumbs WAY up!

a great job reading the crowd and getting people on the dance floor. He was very helpful on the day of our wedding, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the day knowing he had everything taken care of.

ception could have gone so smooth without him. My husband and I struggled to decide on several song choices and event flow for the night, but Tom made everything so easy for us, and helped us in any way that he could. He was also there the whole night to keep the schedule of the evening on track when anything got behind, and he successfully pronounced every one of our bridal party members difficult last names! People were on the dance floor the entire night and we never stopped hearing how incredible his song choices were or how great of an MC he was even months after our wedding! He was certainly the hit of the night!

roductions getting us any food or drinks we wanted as well as throughout the night, gave us a little bit of instruction during dinner about how we should start greeting tables and to start with the old people (hehe) and even "yelled at me" to sit down and eat my dinner (haha!).... flawlessly helped me and my husband pull off a surprise dance during our first dance, and let my dad pull a last minute surprise dance too during the father daughter dance. Best of all - He let me DJ a little towards the end of the night and let one of our groomsman do some karaoke(GOOD Karaoke!) TEN out of FIVE stars!!

ing, and was even able to get the exact version of our first dance song that I wanted. He was professional, brought us water while we were in the receiving line, always checking to see if we needed anything, and in general really helpful all around. He was very intuitive and good at reading the crowd, as well. He created the exact atmosphere we were looking for during each part of the evening, and seemed to know EXACTLY when to speed things up, slow it down, and make announcements. We were extremely pleased and so glad we hired Tom!

eryone said they had a great time and we did too! Highly recommend!

believe was the first time a few weeks before the wedding but he handled it so well. He found us another DJ that actually cost more who would do it for the same price we had already agreed upon. He gave him all the info we had given him and set him up with everything he needed so we hardly had to do anything. He was so apologetic and helpful in not making us have to scramble to find someone that I can't help but be very thankful for what he did. The DJ Underdog did a great job and we are very thankful to them both for making it such a special day.

g was even over, and an awesome master of ceremonies from the introductions of the wedding party, thru all of the activities that accompany a reception. The proof to me was seeing an absolutely packed dance floor all night, right thru the final song! He was attentive to the wedding party, and especially the bride and groom. He even made sure they had beverages for toasts and the like. Tom Barnes is a consummate professional that OBVIOUSLY loves what he is doing! I would definitely give him my highest rating and encourage ALL couple to consider him as a top choice when planning their big day! Great job DJ Tooth! You are the best!

e any of the guests started to arrive. His sense of humor soon had the bridal party feeling at ease and the guests laughing. He paced the evening well and successfully avoided any “lulls”. His music choices kept the dance floor full all night. I even saw him checking to be sure members of the bridal party had beverages throughout the night. I highly recommend him as the DJ for your reception!

to take care of the bride and groom during the reception. He came over to Dan and I multiple times during dinner to see if we needed a drink, food or anything in general. He also pulled me on stage and had me spinning the disks and remixing songs and all of our guests loved watching the bride on stage with headphones mixing "Yeah" by Usher with "Party in the U.S.A" by Miley Cyrus. I couldn't envision our day with any other Dj. He's above and beyond what I expected and I'm very glad we found him.

gs running smoothly and making sure everyone was having a great time! He also was very upfront and reasonable with pricing. Thanks so much for being a part of our big day!

rinks - he was so thoughtful! Not to mention he kept things moving and kept me on track!! lol. Hire Tom, you won't regret it!

til the last minute to make final decisions he came through like you would not believe and he was so helpful during the reception. I would highly recommend him to future brides!

g for a DJ in the sub $1,000 range, but decided to open up our options for better-rated DJs (like Tom). I am SO happy that we did. Tom made himself available by email and phone (we planned our wedding from afar), and was prepared to handle everything on the day-of. I remember telling my husband on the wedding day that I appreciated how involved Tom was during the reception. I did not have a wedding planner, so Tom took on the task of making sure the speeches happened on time, and also coordinated the timing of the first dances, and cake-cutting. Tom gave us a fantastic suggestion about the timing of the cake cutting too, based on his vast experience. He was friendly, fun, and easy to work with! My husband also wanted me to give a shout-out to Tom for finding an incredible acoustic version of "Present Tense" by Radiohead, that fit the vibe better with the other requested songs. My husband had a lot of specific songs in mind that he wanted to play, and Tom had them all ready-to-go, in a perfect order for the night. Hands down, one of our BEST wedding vendors! We would 100% recommend him to ANY couple!

lectic music taste and he played some of our obscure music while also playing songs that everyone loves. On top of that He made sure we stayed on schedule and got us drinks and made sure we ate some of our food. Highly recommend!

keep the night on schedule and was flexible as we fell a little bit behind. Our guests had so much fun, they DID NOT want to leave at the end of the night! I would absolutely recommend Tom for any event!.

the crowd for what types of music to play as well as taking any of our little requests during the reception! Also very reasonable! We couldn't be happier! All of our guests had a great time and many of them have commented how awesome he was! So happy we chose DJ Tooth! He was also very willing to help us out in any way and give us advice for taking it all in that day!

the wedding, he did a great job making sure we had refreshments and that we stuck to the timeline we had discussed. He made everyone there feel welcome and was just so great to work with. The only reason I took off a star was that the song played for my bridal party was not the right one, but this had been a change a few days before the wedding. Also, after our first dance a lot of songs were played that were not really our taste so not many people were dancing until he came back more to the play list we had gone over. Other than those minor things, we had a great time and he really did take the place of having a wedding planner there to make sure things went smoothly!

atmosphere for the reception, he also was incredibly helpful throughout the reception and made sure that everything was running smoothly and kept to the schedule. All of our guests had an amazing time at the reception, and I know that was largely because of Tom. I would highly recommend Tom for any Pittsburgh wedding!

We wished that the reception would have gone on for hours longer. The dance atmosphere was great. I would recommend Tom to anyone.

verything not only was on time and on point - but we were even early for most of our "milestones". Thank you for making our day the best day ever. We couldn't have done it without you.

have him for my own wedding. He is not some college student who bought some equipment and will run a playlist for you, he is truly a professional with years of experience in the wedding industry and it shows. Aside from catering a playlist to our wishes and making the necessary announcements throughout the evening, he took care of arranging his set-up with the venue's event coordinator so that we had one less thing to worry about, checked in with us periodically to offer to get us drinks, and made sure the events of the evening flowed smoothly from cake cutting to dinner to greeting our guests and finally getting the party started! Everyone had a fantastic time! Even my husband's father compared it to another wedding we attended and said the dancing at ours really made the difference!

ack and never missed a beat. I have nothing but positive things to saw about you. You made our hetic special day and made it move along seemlessley. Not only did you take on the role as the most phonomanial dj we could of hoped for you doubbled your role as a wedding coordinator. I can't thank you enough for how truly special you made our day. Please tell me where I need to post and rave about how fantastic you truly are! We absolutely love you! I was just blown away with you from the start when you came up to us with a clipboard and asked " what can i do for you?" Between bringing us drinks and then having my step daughter scratch records! I'm just speachless. Beside telling every engaged couple to book please tell me where you need me to post our experience. I really feel like you were under paid for our event. We would of gladly paid much more for your services knowing what we know now. Thank you so much again Tom!!!! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

was always so attentive. He was organized and a quick thinker. I had a second of panic when I realized we didn't have a plate for our cake cutting, but he jumped right in without hesitation and snagged a plate from a nearby table. The music selections were spot on and he even updated us on the Pens game throughout the night! HIGHLY reccomend Tom !!!

throughout the night and also made sure we ate and had drinks when we needed. He supplied mints too for after dinner which was the perfect touch for greeting guests. We had so much fun and would recommend Tom to anyone!

d to hear. He also gave us some tips to help us make sure we greeted all of our guests and still got to eat. He has a great personality and really enjoys being a DJ. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

, very reasonably priced, and is a great guy! Book him quickly!

exactly what we wanted and was on the same page with us from the start. Both of us coming from an Italian family, we wanted to have some Italian music played and I was a little nervous because they aren't traditional wedding songs - he had absolutely no problems finding any of the music and everything we asked to have played was. Our biggest critic (my grandfather) was so happy with our music selection. Our best man planned (as a surprise to us) to have DJ Tooth play homemade music made by my husband during the best man toast and he played it again later on in the evening. It was our favorite part of the day and we are still getting compliments on how funny it was. The other thing that we were so happy about was his kindness and generosity during the entire night. He continuously checked on us to see if we needed anything and to make sure we were having a good time. I will suggest him to any friend getting married and I already have. If you are still looking for a DJ - call Tom. He is the best!!

re lots of things I was unsure of when it came to music and he was quick with suggestions to help ease me through the process of preparing for my big day. He truly was the perfect DJ and someone I would highly recommend to help making your day as much of a success as he did mine.

uch they loved the song choice and that they never danced so much at a wedding before! You NEED to choose Tom as your DJ!!!!! He's awesome!

initely recommend Tom.
