I could get into all of that classic bio stuff - schooling, work history, favorite pastimes - but here's what's worth knowing about me as your possible officiant. 1. I stumbled into my career as an officiant. In my youth, as my friends began to get married, every ceremony felt the same: deeply religious affairs for my deeply heathen friends, where the couple took a backseat to a sermon. There was no heart, no personal touch, and no effort to connect. On a whim, I became licensed in 2009. Demand soon grew high enough for me to quit my day job and officiate full-time. 2. I L-O-V-E my job. The privilege isn't lost on me—especially compared to the tedious office work of my past. Officiating is the only work I've ever been genuinely eager to do and the only job I would do for free if I had to. (Don't get your hopes up—you still have to pay me!) 3. I do my job a LOT! Since 2010, I have performed over 800 ceremonies. This wealth of experience brings a specific energy to the ceremony: calm, confidence, and reassurance. Inexperienced officiants bring an energy, too—you can guess how it contrasts with mine. 4. Public speaking is my JAM! While glossophobia is a common fear, I have none of it. My knack for speaking developed at summer camp and was sharpened during an eight-year career in public radio. I believe the spoken word, when delivered with passion and purpose, takes the audience on a deeply rewarding emotional journey. 5. I am a nonbeliever with no agenda. As a secular humanist, my life is shaped by science and reason rather than dogma. However, my worldview has no place in your wedding. I stick to three topics: love, commitment, and the couple. A wedding is not the time to espouse religious or political beliefs, even if we happen to share them. My husband and I are not religious, and we always looked at each other and cringed a little when weddings would delve into the religious aspect of the ceremony, as it just made us feel weird about what we would possibly have said during those parts for us. So it was important to me to find an officiant who would respect our secular wishes. Fast forward to 2024: something came up, and my then-fiancé and I needed to elope immediately. I reached out to Tim, and he offered to do the elopement for us, a simpler version of what was to come. It was a beautiful spring day on 05.01.24, made even more special by the words he said to bind us together legally at a park he recommended in private, just the three of us. It was so nice to get to know him a little more through that interaction, and we knew we made the right choice as soon as we met him! Fast forward once more to 2025: it was finally the year of our ceremony! Tim walked us through what it would be like, and as an anxious bride, I felt so much more at ease as soon as he arrived at our rehearsal. It was like he knew exactly how I felt, and he helped me wrangle our family into getting things moving. Then, finally, our day was here, a crisp but clear fall day on 11.01.25. Tim was the calm, happy energy we needed to pull everything together. The ceremony- I couldn’t believe how beautiful it ended up being. He was everything I wanted in an officiant and more. If we got married a third time, I couldn’t imagine anyone trying to fill his shoes! I would recommend Tim to the moon and back. We truly loved having him as a part of our big day!

olutely brought the house down. We had multiple guests ask where we found Tim - saying they got married too young and didn't know you could have a wedding like ours. Another guest said they'd seen another of Tim's ceremonies and were excited as soon as he walked out. For all that Tim shone, the best part is how he made us shine as well as our bridal party and readers. We absolutely could not be happier with our ceremony or Tim's service.
