About this vendor
The White Barn Farm is a stunning private estate situated on 110 acres of farmland, forests and manicured gardens in Brookline, VT. Serene and secluded, this historic property is nestled within a scenic Vermont valley and provides a stunning setting for once-in-a-lifetime occasions. It is owned by Mike and Sue DeSocio, a husband-and-wife duo who envisioned a transformation of this property to the perfect location for couples to celebrate in the heart of nature with family and friends. Nature provides the ideal setting with fields of wildflowers, mountain views, bird song and babbling streams. Lounge by the heated pool, hike or bike miles of trails right on the property, stroll among the lavender and perennial gardens or take a yoga class before the guests arrive. Enjoy the farm to table bounty from this working agricultural farm and relax in the evening around a bonfire. Couples are invited to plant a tree of their choice and the wedding orchard, and check on its progress as the years go by!
The White Barn Farm is offered as an "exclusive use" weekend venue rental (Thursday afternoon through Sunday at noon) mid May through mid October and therefore ideal for destination weddings (some day rentals are available in the spring and early summer). The farm boasts beautifully landscaped lawns, gardens, a variety of specialty crops (heirloom apples, lavender, rare varieties of white pumpkins, maple sugar and vegetables), fields and forests - with a number of carefully curated outdoor ceremony locations to choose from. The historic White Barn, which dates back to the 1800s, is the centerpiece of the property and is an exquisite backdrop full of vintage charm for your celebration. Your reception is in the field under a high peaked tent with breathtaking 360 degree views. Included in the venue rental is the newly renovated farmhouse with 5 luxury bedrooms with private bathrooms and ample space for gatherings. There is camping on the premise and several area options for additional guest accommodations.
Located less than three hours from New York, Boston, Hartford, and Albany, this easily accessed, picturesque venue provides a private sanctuary from the fast pace of big-city life. Mike and Sue are ready to help you put every detail in place to create a seamless and stress-free wedding weekend.
Choose from one of the White Barn Farm's all inclusive wedding experiences (A Vermont Barbeque, Blooms and Elegance or Farm to Table) or totally customize your wedding day. Sue and Mike want you and your guests to feel at home throughout your stay and they, along with the White Barn Farm staff, will ensure your wedding weekend is spectacular and centered around the celebration of your love.

The White Barn Farm is a wonderful place to get married. Sue and Mike are very personable and the property is just perfect for a low-key feel to a wedding. They helped us with a lo...
t for our special day as well as with our planner Fran and our family and friends were well taken care of.
Couldn't have had a more special day anywhere else. For a venue that allows you to have a day that fits who you are there is nowhere better.
We booked our wedding at white barn September 2023. Sue and Michael were amazing and treated us like family from day 1. Even at the first site of seeing the venue in the snow. I ...
knew after seeing how kind. Sweet and thoughtful they were, that this was our venue. From that first meeting until we said I do, Sue and Michael were with us every step feeling like family. If you want that home feeling in a gorgeous venue this is thr place for you.
Beautiful venue with an amazing family team! Despite the weather challenges thrown at the White Barn Farm staff this October, our son & bride had the wedding weekend of their dream...
s. The farm is stunning, with many details that made the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, and the reception magical. Susan and Michael (Angie and others) we attentive and constantly adapting to keep everyone happy and comfortable. Above all they were true to what our lovely daughter-in-law and son envisioned, leaving them feeling like it “was the best weekend ever!”, which it was.
There are not enough words in the English language to describe what an incredible experience we had at White Barn Farm. Like many couples, COVID-19 changed our original wedding pla...
ns, and my husband and I decided to have a small celebration in Vermont instead of a larger celebration outside the US. After looking at many venues throughout the state, we found White Barn Farm. This venue truly has the whole package -- from breathing-taking views with a spacious barn house you can stay in, to communicative and supportive owners who can help you plan every step of the way!
The team at White Barn Farm (Sue, Angelina, and Michael) are extraordinary and went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I wanted for my big day. That's another great thing about White Barn Farm -- your experience can be customizable. You can choose your vendors, which means you can choose your tent style, your caterer, your florist, etc. -- all to meet your budget. Sue and the WBF team know all the vendors in the area and were able to find me an amazing team that helped my vision come alive. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, they coordinated with my vendors and helped solve any issue that came up (for instance, a chair shortage in the area!).
Sue and Michael are also truly magnificent hosts and welcomed us at White Barn Farm as though we were family. They made the entire process seem so simple, which allowed me to trust them blindly to guide me through the entire planning process. I cannot recommend this place enough!
My wife and I held our wedding at White Barn Farm and I cannot say enough good things about the experience! Every step of the way Sue and Michael made everything easy for us - begi...
nning months before the wedding with visiting and staying at the farm all the way up to the stressful weeks and days ahead of the wedding, they were incredible and made our lives easy. I knew that we were going to have a great wedding, and even still it exceeded my already high expectations. The venue is unbelievably beautiful, a great space for weddings large and small, with incredible hosts, conveniently located, and simply a magical place.
I could not recommend this venue more to any couple looking for a place to host the most important day of their lives!
I was fortunate enough to be invited to a wedding at the quintessentially Vermont White Barn Farm in Southern Vermont. It would be tough to find a more magical pastoral setting, ne...
stled in a valley surrounded by mountains, natural and manicured vegetation, and an iconic White Barn as a backdrop to the tented event. The staff of White Barn Farm is equally as lovely, right on top of every detail to ensure guests and brides are having the best experience. It was easy to get there for guests from New York, Ct, MA and RI, with affordable and lovely accommodations nearby. The main house is spectacularly appointed, each room with it's distinctive flair yet blending seamlessly with the property as a whole. And for those after hours revelers, the firepit is a great spot to recount the day around the fire, perhaps sipping Maple Bourbon as we did! As an industry professional, I know a stand out venue when I see one; White Barn Farm is truly a standout.
I attended a wedding here in October. This location and property is beautiful! The owners were very attentive and seemed to be very engaged in making the the guests feel like it ...
was their property. The grounds were beautifully groomed and the ceremony took place under the pine trees!

s is where we would want our wedding to take place.
Since our wedding would happen with Covid restrictions barely in the rear view mirror , you provided us with in-depth lists of every imaginable kind from tents to tenors and helped us finalize all of our vendors and music as well as decor . This setting, tucked so beautifully in nature ,was elegant in its simplicity and extravagant in its color of flowers and trees. The many pictures I have seen of the Wbite Barn Farm , an architectural delight, do not do it justice . The in person feeling of true grandeur was one so many of our guests commented on. We were so proud to have our friends and family ,who travelled hours for this destination wedding to experience this for themselves. Every wedding has so many moving parts but your prompt answering of questions and problem solving made for a stress free three day wedding celebration .
Every event was special in its own way but the constant thread was the attention to detail artful thoughtfulness and adherence to our budget.
Our wedding at White Barn Farm exceeded our expectations and we look forward to planting a wedding tree in the Spring- a tradition begun by Sue and Michael symbolizing new life and growth -
Many thanks to both of you for making our wedding days perfect- White Barn Farm will be evergreen in our memory-

I am a family member of the groom for a wedding in October at the White Barn Farm.

h neat discoveries around every corner - flower and vegetable gardens, vineyard, tree farms and wooden swings, the beautiful old barn and the amazing fire pit area. It is a farm property that dreams are made of. The weddings are not in the barn itself - they are held under a tent just steps away - but the beautifully restored white barn provides a dramatic backdrop for the evening. It is a beautiful, elegant, and updated take on a typical farm wedding. There are a few beautiful areas for ceremony options and the cocktail hour space by the barn has the backdrop of the mountains. The options for picture spots for the photographer were endless! Sue, Michael, and the rest of the staff were incredible starting from planning and through execution. They are always 10 steps ahead and have thought of everything. They have wonderful recommendations for all vendors (tent, catering, linens, bathrooms, bar staff, etc) and offer packages, if preferred. They make everything easy for you and bring such a beautiful energy of sharing their incredible property with you and your guests. There are a few decent-sized towns nearby for your guests and planning needs. I cannot recommend this venue enough for an intimate, beautifully elegant Vermont farm wedding.

one walls, and acres of forested land. The memorable (and photogenic!) white barn is set in front of rolling hills and mountains. My sister and her sweetheart were married under a copse of tall pines that form a natural cathedral—a perfect spot for a wedding ceremony! The farmhouse has been completely renovated and is beautifully furnished, with lots of comfortable spots for relaxing, prepping and dressing. A wonderful, magical place for a wedding or any special event! Thank you!
