There are no words to accurately describe what a special place The Washington is. After weeks of searching for the perfect venue, we stumbled upon this hidden gem in Chester Springs - and I knew from our first meeting with Cait that this was *the* place. Cait and her team were phenomenal. She was quick to answer what felt like 100 questions we had over the course of the year-and-a-half leading up to our wedding day, and did so with incredible courtesy and patience. The care that she brings to the couples booking the venue is evident. I have not a single regret about booking here, and it is thanks to her and Ann that The Washington remains such a treasure. The building itself is immaculate; not only does it feel like you are stepping back in time and part of American history, but the reception areas, groomsmen/bridal suites and outside grounds are one of the most beautiful and unique settings for a wedding venue I have ever experienced. Overall, The Washington - the venue, and the people that make it possible - defied our expectations. There is so much I could say - and all of it positive - but I'll leave with this: Cait, Ann and team - thank you so much for your dedication, support and care that you put in to ensure we had the day of our dreams. It was the best day ever, and we're so privileged The Washington was part of our story.

The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs is a wedding venue located in Chester Springs, PA. Surrounded by botanical gardens and woodland, this property allows couples to escape the hustle of everyday life and rejoice in complete harmony. With a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces, couples can have their dream celebrations at The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs. Those seeking to make the most of the Keystone State sunshine can do so with a ceremony on the venue’s green lawns. These picturesque lawns are complete with green woodland and the dramatic ruins of an old hospital that create a rustic but charming atmosphere. Here, couples exchange vows as the sun radiates through the overhead trees and fills the garden space. You can also use this expansive area for cocktail parties before indoor banquets and a night of dancing. Newlyweds and their guests can sip on cocktails and watch as the sunsets over the ruins and woodland backdrop. The Main Room is great for formal banquets and receptions with over 2,000 square feet of space. The Main Room features white-washed walls and wooden flooring that you can decorate to match your style. You can arrange this event space in several ways and seat up to 150 guests with plenty of extra room for a dance floor. Two separate lounge areas next to the event space provide private spaces for both wedding parties to prepare and relax before the ceremony. Upon booking your wedding at this venue, their events staff will be on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly. You can make use of an array of rental items and decor to help transform your chosen celebration areas. The site’s main room is air-conditioned and comes with lighting fixtures that can be used throughout the day. Couples are welcome to work with outside vendors to bring their dream day to life at The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs.

This was originally a bummer for me because the grounds are absolutely gorgeous, BUT Cait (coordinator at the Washington) and her team switched everything to inside last minute and made it look effortlessly. It was still absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, dare I say I am so glad it ended up being inside?! The pictures turned out gorgeous and their inside option was still just as pretty! We absolutely LOVED the Washington and the history behind it. All night we had people coming up to us complimenting the venue and how cool it was! The Washington is truly the best. The property is gorgeous and lush with gardens- no matter where you step it is photo worthy! All four options for the ceremony space are all stunning. Even on a rainy day it's still so beautiful there and some of cocktail hour can be outside because. of the covered patio! On top of all the beauty, Caitlyn, the venue manager is a dream to work with! She is so attentive to all of her couples and works so well with outside planners and other vendors. Caitlin was there the day of the wedding to make sure the ceremony went well and kept her cool and a positive attitude even when it started to pour rain unexpectedly less than an hour before the ceremony was scheduled to take place outside. The guests contacted us afterwards to tell us how great it was to be there and took their own picturesque photos on the grounds. Combine this with Jerry over at Perfect Setting, who was amazing to work with, and you are ready for your big day! I can not say enough good things about Caitlin and Brittany at the Washington. Caitlin kept us updated through the entire process, and was as accommodating as possible while we tried to figure out new wedding dates for the safety of our guests. When our big day finally came, Brittany could not have been a more reassuring, calming presence. She was great directing the space during set-up and keeping everything organized for our ceremony. The grounds and event space at the Washington are insanely beautiful and our wedding guests are still raving about it almost a month later. Caitlin and the rest of the staff at the Washington have been absolutely wonderful throughout this crazy, stressful time. With so many unknowns, she has kept our peace of mind as her top priority. I have a few friends in the same situation that have their weddings booked elsewhere and they have not had the same experience. Washington was it! This place is truly a hidden gem. Our guests raved about how beautiful the grounds were from our ceremony under the tree, to cocktail hour in the courtyard, and our reception in the ballroom. It is perfectly intimate and timeless. Many of our guests were shocked that they have never heard of The Washington, and plan on coming back to Historic Yellow Springs for their art show events! eautiful are just a few words to describe this historic inn. We had a beautiful fall day and the grounds are so beautifully landscaped, we didn't need anything else to create a rustic feel. And if the beautiful space isn't enough for you, enter Cait. Cait is simply the BEST. She was responsive and helpful throughout our entire planning process, and even helped calm me down about wedding planning stresses. Day of, I was surprised she wasn't wearing a superhero cape the way she made sure every detail was ready and perfect. The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs was the perfect place to be married.
