We used Upchurch for our wedding on 10/10/2026 in Charlottesville. Everything was great.
They has a great survey application that was easy to fill out before to make sure the DJ was clear on everything we wanted. We had some crazy requests, including a Stacey's mom surprise flash mob, a rap performance, and a choreographed dance. Dante delivered and then some on all.
What we really loved is how he spliced things together and added some flair. For example, after our first dance (Beautiful Crazy a country song), Dante had remixed it to a kind of rap beat to transition into group dancing. It was awesome. He did a great job of honoring what we wanted and helping us fill in the gaps.

Upchurch Event Co is the best. I first met Trey at wedding in September 2023 at Stevenson Ridge. As soon as the wedding ended, I walked up to them to ask for their info for my wedding. Fast forward, to December 2025, Trey dj’ed my wedding. Everything went seamlessly — from the prelude, ceremony, cocktail hour, 5 speeches, reception to the final song at Stevenson Ridge. We had a Sunday brunch wedding so it can difficult to get guests on the dance floor. We had guests from ages 6 - 80. Everyone loved Trey and he had amazing transitions from song to song. My friends want to hire him for their wedding.
We loved Trey so much that we hired Upchurch for our other reception in Valentine’s Day weekend 2026 in Charlottesville. Everything again went without a hitch! He kept up the vibes and we had so many compliments about Trey!

The energy Andrew brings is incredible - he really knows how to read a room and had the best bangers playing all night long that had everyone dancing! One of the biggest compliments we've gotten on our wedding is how good the dance floor was and how amazing the energy was, and we attribute a lot of this to Andrew being the perfect DJ!!! Andrew set the tone and created an atmosphere that made the night unforgettable. When the reception kicked off, almost everyone was up on the dance floor and the dance floor stayed full the rest of the evening! The set list kept getting better and better, and he was able to work in songs from multiple decades to appeal to all our guests. He went above and beyond, incorporating some specific cultural music for my extended family and even created a great impromptu finale with the last song that hyped everyone up for our send-off.
Multiple guests were telling us how much they loved the DJ, and we couldn't agree more!

The client portal was very easy to use, broke down all the parts of the wedding to keep things simple for us and also gave us a lot of optionality when we just didn't feel like thinking anymore. We also touched base just before the wedding and were really impressed with how great his communication was. At the reception, all the guests loved him and were amazed how interactive he was at a DJ. Going with Upchurch was one of the best decisions we made.

People kept dancing and stayed until the very end. From the arrival of guests, to introduction of the couple, toasts, first dances, cutting of the cake, dancing and the grand exit, he worked well with the wedding coordinator to ensure that the entire event stayed on schedule and guests were having a good time. All the details were carefully arranged ahead of time so that during the event we were able to be present in the moment and really enjoy our daughter's wedding and reception. It was an amazing time! I would highly recommend Andrew Burlingame and his team at Upchurch Entertainment for any DJ needs. We would definitely use him again!
