Through Basil Place, we have had the absolute pleasure of working with The Thirsty Philly as our exclusive bartending service, and from day one, owner Greg has been so much more than just a vendor to us. He has become part of our Basil Place family! Having Greg and his incredible team be such an important part of our own wedding made the experience even more meaningful. From the very beginning, Greg went above and beyond to make sure every detail was absolutely perfect. One of our favorite experiences leading up to the wedding was our cocktail tasting with him! He took the time to introduce us to a beautiful variety of cocktails, thoughtfully considering the season and overall atmosphere of our October wedding. Our signature cocktails included a Blackberry Gin Cocktail, Pomegranate Mule, and Fig & Honey Whiskey Sour, and they were absolutely incredible! Each drink was unique, beautifully crafted, and full of flavor. Greg truly has a talent for creating cocktails that not only taste amazing but also perfectly complement the occasion. One of the most beautiful additions to our wedding was The Thirsty Philly’s 1960s camper mobile bar! It was absolutely stunning and complemented the romantic, vintage atmosphere we had envisioned for our special day. It added so much character, charm, and timeless elegance to our celebration. It was everything we had hoped for and more! The service throughout our entire wedding was nothing short of exceptional. Greg and his entire team were professional, personable, attentive, and genuinely wonderful to everyone. They made sure our guests were taken care of throughout the evening, and everything ran so smoothly. I especially want to recognize Brittney, the bar manager, who was absolutely phenomenal! Her attention to detail and genuine care for our family meant so much to us. She made sure that not only George and I were taken care of, but even our two little boys! Something as simple and thoughtful as making sure our sons had sparkling grape juice meant the world to us. It’s those moments that remind you just how special the people behind a business truly are. We hosted both our rehearsal dinner and wedding at Basil Place and stayed there for the weekend. Greg made sure all of the refrigerators were fully stocked with beer throughout our entire stay, which was one less thing we had to worry about! The drinks on our wedding night were phenomenal! I cannot even count how many compliments we’ve received from our guests about how delicious the cocktails were. I’ve literally had people reach out after the wedding asking me to find out the recipes so they can recreate them at home! The bartenders were equally as impressive. They were so friendly, efficient, and FAST! Even with a large wedding, our guests never had to stand around waiting in line for a drink. The service was truly seamless. We also rented their speakeasy mobile bar, and WOW! It was hands down the coolest mobile bar I’ve ever seen. It was absolutely gorgeous, added such a unique and memorable element to our wedding, and our guests were obsessed with it! To house our rustic cocktail creations, along our journey, we purchased vintage horse trailers/ trucks and converted them into your hottest bartending hotspot. Together my mom and I started this amazing mobile bar business in late 2019. Combined we have spent over 35 years in the service industry. During my time in the industry I was given the amazing opportunity to learn the true science behind making craft cocktails all across the country. For the longest time my mom and I have always wanted to work together. The day finally came when we decided to create a mobile cocktail bar. could tell he had a passion for excellent cocktails and service. We were invited to have a cocktail tasting at their facility to pick out speciality cocktails for the wedding. Not many bartenders do that, so this was a treat. All of their juices are handmade and you can tell. The quality of their cocktails are absolutely unmatched. We must have sampled 7 or 8 cocktails and it was hard to choose 3 just 3. We went with the Blackberry Bourbon, Spicy Guava Margarita, and Blood Orange Mule. He had two bartenders on site for the day of the wedding and they set up the bar quickly. We opted for the elegant wooden bar option, it was absolutely stunning in person and worked so well with our barn aesthetic. They made a bunch of drinks and had them out for anyone to grab. We also had wine, beer and seltzer. Some of the unopened packs were returned after the wedding. The bartenders were kind enough to make sure not to open another pack as we were approaching last call. I thought that was a nice touch. We had an absolute blast at our wedding and thirstyfilly kept the party going with those drinks next to our dance floor. etting the alcohol, the bartender, the soda, the mixers, the cups, the garnishes, all while thinking holy crap there’s so much I need and nothing makes sense.. Scouring for hours to try to find the right bar option for our wedding with all this in mind, we stumbled upon the Thirsty Filly. Hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Their set up is just like their pictures depict, except better when your own personal elements are incorporated. And the options for multiple signature, unique cocktails is so fantastic. They handle everything, the bar order, soda is included, garnishes included, decorations, mixers, garnished, and the bartenders themselves. They take all of the stress out of it. In terms of service? Our guest count was right at 100. We had everyone go straight into cocktail hour the second the ceremony ended. The bartenders started pre-making, one by one, multiple glasses of each signature cocktail during the ceremony, so when 100 people naturally stormed bar, they flew through the line. They continued to restock the cocktails all night. So unless you had a specific request, which they are incredibly accommodating and so happy to help, you could walk up at any moment, grab a signature cocktail with nothing more than a smile, and walk away, with a new one already being mixed to fill its place. Finally, the main reason you’re reading this, how are the drinks? If the Blood Orange Mule is an option, get it. It will rock your world and be an absolute hit. We had four signature cocktails, and they were so popular that we barely made a dent into the beer and seltzers we purchased. And oh my goodness are these puppies strong. Not offensively strong, just so well made and a genuine cocktail you’d get at any fancy bar. One Vanilla Ginger Old fashioned in your guests and your dance floor will come to life. The Thirsty Filly is everything you want from a bar at your wedding. So good to work with, the friendliest bartenders, punctual, transparent, communicative. They’ve mastered their craft and will be recommend to everyone we know. Worth every penny.

The mobile bar was a statement piece at our reception and people loved it (we had the original tan bar). There also was NEVER a line that formed at the bar which so many people were complimentary of! We really had an amazing experience with Thirsty Filly. It is a unique, comprehensive bar service and we are so thankful for Greg and his team! We will not hesitate to use them in the future and continue recommending them to others! :)

tasting prior to our wedding was so cool and special. It was difficult picking the 3 cocktails because they’re ALL delicious!! Leading up to the wedding, everything was smooth and straightforward. And then the day off - wow! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the bar was, how tasty the cocktails were and what excellent service was provided - there were no lines throughout the night! Truly the highlight of our wedding!! We loved taking photos in the bar and was such a unique experience for all. Gregory has truly thought of everything and provides such exceptional service. Also I highly recommend their sister company Ash and Still which is a cigar bar and lounge. It made for amazing photos and every guest said they had never been to a wedding that had something so cool!
