About this vendor
**2025 will be our last year for weddings at The Stone Barn.
The Stone Barn is a family-owned wedding venue located on 40 acres in the rolling hills of Nelson, WI. This property boasts a beautiful pond, lawn, forests, and various rustic buildings to provide the perfect backdrop to your celebration.
Owners Matt and Marcy Smith welcome couples to host their weddings surrounded by natural beauty and the charming ambiance of their converted barn. Once you step onto the property, you can feel the warmth and love they put into every detail. Restored in 2015, Matt and Marcy ensured that every element of the barn would help make dream weddings come true. The space features floor-to-ceiling wood and elegant chandeliers, providing a unique backdrop to your day. The Stone Barn can accommodate up to 150 guests and includes seating arrangements tailored to your needs. The barn's lower level is a sleek bar, perfect for a rustic cocktail party. This venue only books one wedding a weekend, allowing you ample time to set up decorations the day before. On the big day, you will have access to the property from 9am to midnight, providing an all day celebration.
This property is also home to the famous Nelson Stone Barn pizzeria. They offer a variety of Italian style thin crust pizzas baked in a wood fired brick oven. With a blend of classic flavors like Margherita and Southwest creations, their pizzas are sure to satisfy any taste. Their culinary team will work with you to craft a delectable rehearsal dinner or late night pizza menu. With a dedicated staff and one-of-a-kind spaces, The Stone Barn is the perfect rustic backdrop to "I do."

uld come decorate on Friday and then tear down Sunday morning, it really allowed me to relax the day of and not worry about if everything was in place. We had the ceremony in the back by the woods and it was so beautiful for our small gathering of family. We also had our rehearsal dinner there and the pizza is, Oh My Gosh, Amazing. It was honestly the perfect venue for the right price. 10/10 will be visiting this place for many years to come!
Bonus points for goats! Our guests loved that they had goats that you could feed for a quarter. That white goat has an attitude though lol

level that we used for the cocktail hour since our set-up was outside. It was cooler down there so on a hot summer's day this was great.
The updated large patio with extra large doors was PERFECT for lighting. We loved every bit of this venue and commend it to everyone thinking about it!
Best part? Their price was GREAT in comparison to nearly ALL the other venues we looked at!

he entire weekend. It helped us feel relaxed knowing that we had plenty of time for setup and cleanup and that it didn't have to be done in one day. The barn is so beautiful that decorations could be kept to a minimum. Marci and the other owners have a real treasure in their backyard.
