The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and we loved the original team we were working with. However, during the planning process, our coordinators suddenly changed without anyon...
e informing us— we only found out after asking a question and being redirected to a completely new person. Our final venue coordinator, was always a bit off-putting. At first, it came across as a “gets-things-done” type of attitude, but on the wedding day, she was simply rude to my family who were only trying to help. On the day of the wedding, no one from the venue introduced themselves to me (the bride) or my husband, nor did anyone let us know who our point of contact was. We were never given the code to the bridal suite; my makeup artist and flower woman had to track someone down to get it. One of the main reasons we chose this venue was the gorgeous bridal suite, which we used for photos with my bridesmaids, our moms, and eventually my husband. Unfortunately, when we arrived that morning, the suite was dirty and we spent about 30 minutes cleaning before we could even start getting ready. At the end of the night, my family was rushed to get our belongings out—even though we had already lost time cleaning the suite earlier in the day. There is definitely room for improvement in communication and day-of professionalism. We truly loved the venue itself, but would want future couples to be aware of these concerns before booking.

d ease of use in downtown Raleigh. Natalie was so helpful, communicative, and kind from the beginning of our venue search to the days after the wedding. The entire team made sure we were taken care of- I cannot say enough good things about the staff. The Glass Box was an incredible place to get ready and take photos with my ladies, and the guys enjoyed their getting ready space too. The space was exactly what we dreamed and would highly recommend. They made it a truly magical day.

space that allowed us to hold both the ceremony and reception in one seamless location—no need for our guests to leave between events. The glass box bridal suite was a gorgeous feature, with floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the room with natural light, making the getting-ready experience with my bridesmaids and moms even more special. The partly cloudy weather allowed us to make full use of the patio for beautiful photos and a memorable first look with my dad. With 146 guests, the space felt ideal and intimate. Everything we envisioned for our venue became a reality at The Stockroom at 230!
We just want to say thank you to Natalie and the Stockroom team. My husband and I toured this venue and immediately fell in love with it. Not just with the beauty of the space but ...
also the niceness and professionalism of the team. The communication was amazing. They worked behind the scenes to ensure that our night ran as smoothly as possible (and it did). They were open to our creativity and gave us alternatives to ideas that may not have been okay (hanging heavy things on the wall for example). Our night on March 22, 2024 was perfect, everything we could have imagined and more. Natalie, you are absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for giving us a night that we will always remember. -The Beltons

My wife and I can't say enough good things about our experience with The Stockroom at 230. We had a particularly long engagement (26 months!), but knew locking down a venue was the...
most important step. We actually picked the venue from a state away in the thick of the pandemic in early 2021, and we couldn't be happier with how our virtual choice turned out.
The venue boasted an incredibly helpful staff, numerous vendor connections (catering from legit restaurants around Raleigh with a discount? Big time.), and a multitude of use spaces beyond the wonderful main room for ceremony and reception (you've got to look into The Glass Box, a picturesque penthouse/rooftop space perfect for a bride to get ready and for a happy couple to escape to throughout the night).
And y'all, location?? Locking down room blocks with downtown Raleigh hotels ensured our guests could be walking distance from the venue, so no shuttles (or designated drivers) were necessary. Not to mention, after closing out the celebration, we were able to take the party to bars in the Raleigh social district! Oh yeah, lots of great photo opportunities within the venue and the surrounding area too.
Really, The Stockroom at 230 is the whole package. We have the best memories of our time there, and now every time we walk down Fayetteville Street we get a wonderful reminder of our big day. Make sure you choose The Stockroom so you can do the same!

racter and rustic charm, from the exposed brick walls to the original lattice work and market lights. We wanted space that could hold a possible 100 guests comfortably as well as a space that could be utilized for both ceremony and reception. The team there was professional and answered all of our questions quickly. Their list of preferred vendors was top notch. The Glass Box - that you get as part of the wedding rental - is just gorgeous, with plenty of space to get ready and a beautiful rooftop deck for photos, as well as secure for purses and personal items. On the wedding day itself, the venue hosts worked seamlessly with our day of planner and vendors. It was an absolute dream of a wedding!

nd I desired. Samantha and Natalie were exceptional, encouraging, and responsive. They accommodated our wishes and offered a number of discounts to reduce the overall price. We found delicious catering because of their vendor options. Even security and concierge services were the upmost professional. At first sight, my bride and I knew that Stockroom would be the place for the most memorable moment of our lives. It's interchangeable and there is no other venue like it. It didn't disappoint and we would definitely hold another event there!

ding. We were originally supposed to have our wedding on November 2020 but had to reschedule it twice and the team at Stockroom was so understanding and accommodating about it. I had a great time working with the team at Stockroom. They were great at responding to emails and making sure everything was set for the wedding day.

oducing herself to us every time, which left me feeling very "forgettable" . The whole experience/interactions during planning felt like they no longer cared about us once they received our check. If it weren't for the beauty of the venue, we would have gotten married somewhere else.
The staff was so awesome to work with, super sweet and very professional. The venue was so beautiful and spacious. Before our tour was over, I knew we had found our wedding venue....
Wish I had a reason to work with them again!

atural decor to the service from the coordination team made for a perfect, seamless wedding. Taylor was prompt in her replies and very flexible through COVID changes. One thing to note is that they do require a Day Of Coordinator (which can't be a relative), which we kept forgetting but were ultimately glad we hired. We delayed our wedding reception in part so we could keep it at the Stockroom and are very glad we did so!

oom was easy to work with, answering all of my questions around the contract, providing flexibility in our dessert vendor, and even shifting our reservation time because we were ending earlier in the evening. The venue provided the perfect space for an all encompassing wedding so we never had to leave throughout the day.
Caroline went out of her way on the Monday after Easter to do a second viewing of the space when my parents came into town unexpectedly. Her responsiveness and support made my family feel comfortable planning from afar.

e also opted for The Glass Box and The Groom's Room so we were able to get ready on-site! We did all of our pictures in the venue as well!
The Stockroom includes tables and chairs which is a HUGE plus, and the hanging lights are to die for -- so gorgeous! I also love the flooring, the exposed brick, and the option of the chalkboard wall as a major show stopper at your wedding! Overall, this venue had absolutely everything I needed for my perfect day, and I couldn't be happier. I loved working with the team there, and I can't thank them enough.
If you're hesitating -- don't! This venue is a dream come true.

Beautiful venue with lovely exposed brick walls. Staff was extremely helpful and made planning our corporate event quite easy!
This space was absolute perfection for my event! The staff was super easy to work with and of course the space is BEAUTIFUL! Enjoyed every second, and I totally recommend 💓

out, night clubs, breakfast spots... it was all just perfect! Caroline at The Stockroom worked well with all of our vendors and made sure that our day was just perfect! We would not change one thing! The Glass Box was the best for hanging out before the wedding with the bridal party and the view up there is terrific. The space is attractive, accommodating, convenient, and all around 100% perfect! the Chalk board wall is such a nice touch as are the string lights, the bar, the wall for hanging personal photos... it was all just perfect and we honestly would not change 1 thing!!!
The Stockroom at 230 is a beautiful venue and the staff is organized, professional and very easy to work with. We are looking forward to many more events with them.
We loved our experience with the Stockroom for our wedding! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and the team there was incredibly friendly and responsive!
Gorgeous venue, very helpful team. Couldn't ask for anything better!
The Stockroom at 230 worked out perfectly for our wedding. It was so easy to have everyone in one space and the logistics of being right downtown could not have worked out better! ...
There were so many options to add our own style to the space. We were also able to keep things simple because there is already so much character in both the Stockroom and the Glass Box. The team was always very responsive and helpful throughout the process. We strongly recommend the Stockroom for anyone looking for a downtown venue in the heart for Raleigh.

to mention, it was elegant, beautiful, and so fun to be in the center of downtown Raleigh. Everyone was so accommodating. They even let us load in all of our stuff the day before since there was not another event going on! Thank you so much Molly, Caroline, and to the rest of the team! We would recommend the Stockroom to anyone!

ith in helping us as our contact at the venue. She provides you with all info, will respond quickly, and is such a joy to work with! The venue is gorgeous and all my guests raved about how beautiful it was. It is the perfect spot in Raleigh to get married or host an event; right in the heart of downtown with it's industrial charm! Thank you for being a part of our day! By far, one of the best decisions I ever made!
We had our reception at The Stockroom 230 and felt the location was perfect and everything turned out beautifully! The staff was easy to work with and they were very flexible with ...
rescheduling when we had a conflict with our initial date. The set up was great for a wedding of 135 people and the staff was able to break down some tables after dinner to make more room for the dance floor. At the end of the night, it was super convenient for walking to downtown bars and hotels which was perfect for our guests. We got lots of compliments on how beautiful the space was. And the good thing is, you really do not need to use much decorations for the space—it is pretty all on its on (especially with the market lights!) We did have two down sides to the venue: 1, we required extra set up time and break down time because of our band and with every hour there is an extra clean up fee and 2, the venue does not have a reserved space out front which made it difficult for some of our vendors to unload (this was particularly difficult for family/friends that we had helping us who were not familiar with the process). Also keep in mind that there are only public parking/parking garages available to guests. Otherwise, we absolutely loved everything about our day and the Stockroom worked out perfectly!
I love this venue. Such a perfect blank canvas to gather a big group of people in the same room. The Stockroom at 230 felt great inside, even if it was humid and hot hot HOT outsid...
e. Thank you Caroline for all of your hard work! You were so helpful and patient with me. All of the Empire Eats venues and restaurants are fabulous, so you should take a look into renting their spaces (The Raleigh Times, The Morning Times, Sitti, The Pit, The Glass Box, All Saints Chapel, and The Stockroom at 230). Because our event was so large, we went with one of their venues that could accommodate the most people. We definitely made the right choice with The Stockroom at 230.
The staff was wonderful for our big day! They went above and beyond to make sure our reception was amazing. They also knew our other vendors, which helped make the whole process ...

Beautiful space in downtown Raleigh
We got married in the Glass box above The Stockroom 230. The Glass Box was stunning and we would definitely do it all again if we could!

discovered that SPARKcon was happening the weekend of the wedding by getting all the necessary vendors together and hammering out the details. She really is the best.

e room into anything you want it to be. The staff was accomodating and professional. They answered any questions quickly and fully. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a cozy urban loft for their wedding or other events. Our day was absolutely perfect and we continue to get compliments on how beautiful the space was. One piece of advice: Book early!!!
We had our reception at The Stockroom immediately following our ceremony at All Saints Chapel. The Stockroom has a wonderful urban feel, while managing to still be inviting. All of...
our guests were raving about the space, and our in town guests felt like we found a hidden gem. We worked with Alexandra who was kind, professional, and extremely helpful in making sure our reception (and ceremony at All Saints Chapel) went off without a hitch. Alexandra was able to provide wonderful recommendations and coordinate with our Wedding Planner during the weeks leading up to our ceremony and reception. I love that the space is right in the middle of downtown Raleigh, so it gave our guests lots of options for fun at the end of the evening. There are so many options for décor at The Stockroom, but if nothing was done at all it would still be beautiful. Market lights are a must, and accentuate the space perfectly. LOVED our experience at The Stockroom, and wouldn’t change a thing.
I immediately fell in love with the old school charm of this venue. The rustic feeling of the brick walls and exposed beams was exactly what we wanted. The main negative I have i...
s the chalkboard wall. In my opinion I think it cheapens the space and looks tacky. Also, for the price you do not get much time there. I did really love the venue and luckily the chalkboard wall wasn't too terribly noticeable after all.
I absolutely love The Stockroom! It is the perfect venue for a downtown Raleigh wedding. My ceremony was at All Saints Chapel and I had my reception here with about 180 guests. We ...
had a seat for everyone, buffet dinner, and a dance floor so it was a little tight but my amazing coordinator Priscilla with Orangerie Events made it work! The venue has an elevator so this makes it much easier for elderly guests. Parking for the venue can be a little tricky, especially if there are a lot of events going on downtown but overall I say don't worry about that! Your guests will figure it out. I had mine park in parking garages nearby on Wilmington St and they just had to walk a block or two. I recommend putting some kind of sign out front on the door or on the sidewalk indicating the entrance because it can be difficult to find if your guests are unfamiliar with Fayetteville Street. I also recommend splurging a little and renting market lights for your reception. I rented mine from Sarah Morris at ThemeWorks and we put them over the dance floor. They were beautiful and definitely worth it! Katie Rae was great to work with and very responsive. I did have a little problem when Empire charged my credit card a couple months before a payment was scheduled according to my contract. This brought some headaches but Katie Rae helped get everything sorted out. Overall this venue is fantastic and I would highly recommend it!
