I had an incredible wedding day at The Sanctuary in May 2023 and I am so happy I chose to have my wedding there. It is such a beautiful space and my husband and I received so many ...
compliments about the venue from our wedding guests. The staff at The Sanctuary were very easy to communicate with and ensured that our special day ran smoothly. Bonus is that the venue is a nonprofit and supports the Lower Price Hill community. Before we stumbled across The Sanctuary, we didn't know that there were wedding venues that were nonprofits! Since the venue allowed us to do DIY, we truly had the wedding of our dreams. We were able to have an ice cream truck, the exact food we wanted, and the drink menu of our dreams. Many other venues don't allow you to do that!
I cannot say enough positive things about The Sanctuary. We had our wedding at The Sanctuary in October 2022, and I couldn’t imagine choosing a different venue! It is truly a beaut...
iful venue. The building is beautiful inside and out. The stained-glass windows made a great backdrop for many of our wedding pictures. It was great to be able to get ready, have the ceremony, and reception all in one place. Not only is the building beautiful looking but the staff is SUPER helpful. Raine was amazing! She was always responsive to our questions leading up to the wedding and was even more helpful during the rehearsal and wedding day. I really appreciated Raine’s advice and help. The DIY nature of this venue allowed us to have a unique wedding that really felt like it reflected us as a couple and may not have been possible at many other venues. Finally, we loved that The Sanctuary is a non-profit and loved being able to play a small role in helping support their mission.
Our family had a wedding reception at the Sanctuary and it was fantastic! So very easy to work with the staff! Such a wonderful space…the best part about this venue is they are ...
giving back to the local community!!!!
The Sanctuary was a BEAUTIFUL venue to host my daughter's wedding and reception! Every penny that we paid to rent The Sanctuary went to support Community Matters, providing crucia...
l services for the Lower Price Hill community to build a grocery store, laundry facility, fitness center, and low income housing. We planned the wedding to be exactly what we wanted, choosing our own caterer, florist, beverage provider, etc. I hired a private security guard to escort our guests to their cars at the end of the night if they chose to have an escort ($200 for 4.5 hours). Tables and chairs were provided by The Sanctuary and we brought our own table decor. We had access to the venue from 9AM on the day of the wedding until midnight, and another 2 hours the next day to gather up our belongings. There is a commercial kitchen and 2 fantastic dressing areas---one for the ladies and one for the men. It was so fun having all the girls together for hair and makeup, getting ready for the big day! Raine and Kimmy helped us along in the planning as well as on the day of the wedding. They are incredibly kind and helpful....such a delight to work with! The Sanctuary is an beautiful and affordable hidden gem! Check it out for your next event!

the bride and bridesmaids and groom and groomsmen, and we could decorate how we pleased even though it didn’t need much decor due to it being a beautiful building already. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue or experience!
Highly, highly recommend The Sanctuary for weddings & events! We had our wedding there and could not be happier with our decision to use The Sanctuary as our venue. It was incredib...
ly beautiful (with little to no decor!), has a fully functional catering kitchen, separate bridal & groom suite, and to top it off your money goes towards a good cause! We fell in love as soon as we saw the Sanctuary and heard their nonprofit purpose. It was the perfect wedding venue for us and I would highly recommend the Sanctuary to anyone!!!
We had our reception only at The Sanctuary. We LOVED it. The mission behind them is amazing and we just loved the character of the place. We had a Christmas themed wedding and they...
let us decorate how we wanted (as long as we followed the guidelines of course) and it was beautiful. We have had so many compliments on our venue and it truly was perfect.

llowed us to have everything we wanted within budget. The wedding coordinator provided some support through out, mostly day of, and answered questions for our simple "DIY" wedding.
The Sanctuary is an absolutely GORGEOUS location. The stain glass windows, spiral staircase, exposed brick... AMAZING. It was The Perfect location for us-with enough space for our...
ceremony and reception in one place. It was priced within our small budget and well exceeded our expectations.
The only reason I'm withholding my 5th star (without going into too much detail) is because communication with the Sanctuary and day-of onsite coordination could use some improvement.
As long as you are prepared to do a lot of work yourself, this place is PERFECT.
Venice on Vine Catering has worked with The Sanctuary during several events. The space is easily set up for both buffet style and seated plating.. The staff is available to answer ...
any and all questions prior to and during the event - they are helpful, inventive, accommodating, and precise! Perhaps most importantly, the Sanctuary ensures customer wants/needs are communicated clearly to the caterers!
The Sanctuary was an absolute perfect place for our wedding on August 12. There was plenty of space for our 210 guests and we still had room for a huge dance floor, an awesome DJ, ...
wonderful caterer buffet style, appetizers, and photo booth.
The space is wonderful as it used to be a church transformed into a gorgeous event center and to top it off an event coordinator comes in your wedding package! Consider it the best wedding gift ever! Stella was there to help us every step of the way for planning and setting up the vision and flow of the event and wow the day of was awesome. She was the main contact for our vendors and helped with all the tiny things you may not have thought of....even though we thought we had it covered!
We were able to select our vendors and our day could not have been more perfect. Our day was surely special and there are not enough words to express our gratitude and just how perfect this place is!
The Sanctuary is a fabulous event space in a historic building and I fell in love with it the first time I saw it! The reception hall is a ballroom style, with cathedral ceilings...
, large stained glass windows, and tons of natural light. Perfect for a dramatic, formal, or classic wedding style. I actually used them for a professional event and it went so well I decided to book my wedding there. Their wedding coordinator Stella is super helpful, thinks of everything, and is easy to get ahold of. They are very affordable yet still provide a high-end service. They also recommended caterers for me and I found one I am happy with. For couples who are paying for their own wedding (like me) and can't break the bank, Sanctuary is a great option. Also, all the funds they take in from events go to fund their programs for the community, which was super important to me as a social worker.
