Our wedding was held at the Powel Crosley Estate on May 8, 2026. The venue stole our breaths away when we viewed it in January 2025 and this time around it was as mesmerizing as we...
remembered it! Working with the staff to tour and reserve this venue was very easy as well as the entire process to make payments and fill out required forms. The estate itself is truly a gorgeous historical and architectural beauty. The outside staircase create the perfect place for a dramatic entrance for a bride- which I did! My guests commented on how breathtaking that moment was. In addition to the estate, the grounds are beautiful and the Sarasota Bay views are captivating. The view of the sunset is a moment during our wedding that we will remember forever. With such a stunning venue there are endless places to capture the perfect romantic photo, I wish we would’ve taken more. All of our guests were in awe of how beautiful the estate is, both inside and outside. I personally appreciated how many different spaces there are inside, including the bridal suite and gorgeous rooms. Our favorite part of the estate is the balcony and we naturally chose it to do our first look. It was an absolutely beautiful moment that felt paused in time. If you’re looking for a venue to bring your fairytale wedding dreams to life, I highly recommend the Powel Crosley! Bonus points for the beautiful wedding gifts that we received from the staff. Thank you!
The Powel is so beautiful! We fell in love with the beauty and architecture of the space and couldn’t have chosen a better venue. Having our wedding there was such a dream!
We had the wedding of our dreams at the Crosley a few weeks ago - it's absolutely stunning, and the photos online don't even do it justice. Liz is so kind and sweet to work with as...
well! The estate has so much charm and character, and there are so many spots on the property to spread out your events: ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing.
With that being said, I have to comment on the Crosley's rules and fees. Perhaps we didn't read the fine print well enough, but the Crosley is NOT $8000. It's $250 extra per hour for all of the extra hours that you will need for setup and tear down. Add another $2000-3000 to the original $8000 quote.
Additionally, vendors working with the Crosley also have to abide by strict rules around tents, lighting, etc., which causes an up charge for all rentals. Our rental quote was astronomical, and the rationale we typically heard was, "Well, you booked the Crosley."
If you have a guest count over 120 people you cannot fit them all inside of the main room in the estate. If your planner is telling you that you can, find another planner. You most definitely need a tent for a large party due to the unpredictable Florida weather, and you have to make the decision 10 days out without knowing what the weather will be. The tent costs another $15-20k (because the Crosley limits you to two vendor options for most rentals).
There is an additional commission fee for everything you book through your caterer (who coordinates all rentals). For example, if you order a wedding cake from a separate vendor, it will be added as a line item, and the Crosley earns commission on it.
Another small note - there are strict rules around food and drink if you are planning to get ready onsite, even though you are paying extra for the time and space. More of just an annoyance than an issue.
Overall, we don't regret our wedding at the Crosley. It was beautiful and memorable, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. However, I feel like we went in a bit blind, and we landed WAYYYYY over budget in the process.
Our wedding day was truly a dream come true, and this venue played a huge part in making it everything we hoped for and more. The setting was absolutely beautiful — I couldn’t have...
pictured a more perfect backdrop for our day. From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical.
The staff was incredible — always attentive, kind, and quick to answer any questions we had throughout the process. Their professionalism and attention to detail helped everything run smoothly and allowed us to truly enjoy every moment.
This place is just stunning, and the experience was worth every penny. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a breathtaking venue and a top-notch team to bring your vision to life.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous and was everything we wanted for our wedding day. There are so many different options for where you can do your ceremony vs reception and how layou...
ts can be arranged, so it’s really customizable. Feels like a private waterfront villa. Day of staff were also great.
The Powel Crosley Estate was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding! Every part of the property is stunning, and we loved being able to use different areas for each part of the...
day—our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception each had their own unique setting, which made everything feel so special and well thought out.
The event staff was fantastic and made every transition seamless. We didn’t have to worry about a thing—they handled everything with such professionalism and ease.
And the view? Unmatched. The sunset over the water was breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was truly the most magical setting for our big day. If you’re dreaming of a romantic, elegant, and beautifully run venue, the Powel Crosley Estate is it!
Just got married here and WOW! I couldn't imagine our special day at any other place. The sunset alone was breathtaking. Such a beautiful venue that I didn't feel the need to spend...
a lot on florals/decor. I wish I could have my same wedding again here. I'm hoping I get invited to a wedding here in the future just to experience this breathtaking venue again! Absolutely incredible. The bridal suite was a dream to get ready in. The chandeliers and lights are a must! I can't say enough good things about this place. If you're considering having your wedding here - DO IT!! You will not regret it. They made the process to easy and seamless. Add some extra time in Gwendolyn's room for stunning photos!
The Powel Crosley Estate was incredible. The perfect backdrop for our Sarasota wedding. Loved the space, aesthetic, and the ability to leave by boat! Fair warning, it is not inclus...
ive at all - it is literally just the venue. However, the views, memories, and endless options for using each space is absolutely worth it. Also loved working with Milan Catering, one of their required vendors for catering and day of coordination.

r wedding date exactly 1.5 years in advance when our desired wedding month was released. I recommend doing this so you can be sure to have the date you want. A big pro to this venue is that you get the whole place to yourself. We paid extra for extended hours in the morning, which was perfect in order for the vendors to have enough time to set up and decorate, as well as providing plenty of time for the bridal party to get ready. Although we paid for extended hours, the extended hours are not entirely private. There was a wedding rehearsal while we were there getting ready, but they did the rehearsal outside and did not enter the rooms we were getting ready in. The groom and bridal suites are on separate floors, which was ideal for us as we did not do a sneak peek. This allowed for the bride and groom to be separate with little chance of running into each other. As for vendors, you have to use one of the six approved caterers. None of the approved caterers are inexpensive, but they are all high-quality. The cost of the venue by itself was very reasonable compared to other venues we had looked at for our wedding. The majority of our cost for our wedding day was spent on the catering, which included lighting food, alcohol, decor, and a day of coordinator. Another thing we loved about this venue is that they are dog-friendly! It meant so much to us to have our golden retriever be a part of our special day. Overall, we are very happy and satisfied that we chose to have our wedding at this venue!
We had our wedding here in March and this venue was EVERYTHING. Absolutely stunning estate with the perfect sunset backdrop. Could not have chose a better venue❤️

lace, and we didn't need much decor to "spruce it up" because it is beautiful on its own. There's also a good amount of shade and a breeze off the water which was helpful in May to keep our northern guests cool outside. It is pricey and pretty much everything (even lights and the time to put them up, some rooms, etc.) is an additional cost, so keep in mind especially for larger weddings.
My husband and I just got married at Powel Crosley at the end of April and it was perfect! Our guests still can't stop raving at how beautiful of a venue it really is. We worked wi...
th JoAnna and Olivia throughout our wedding planning process and they were easy to work with and friendly. We love Powel Crosley and are so glad that this is where we got married!
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue! The second we toured the Powel Crosley, we fell in love. The property is stunning, and every room in the building is beautiful - ...
it’s so versatile for whatever you need. Also, JoAnna and Olivia were both absolutely wonderful to work with leading up to the wedding.
The hardest part for us was booking - we got married on Saturday March 18th, and had to email our application EXACTLY at midnight 18 months out (and were third in line!!). So definitely something to keep in mind when planning for your day (especially during spring in Florida, and on a Saturday). On our wedding day, there was a high percent chance of rain. We had planned for dinner on the lawn, but had to move it inside just to be safe. I was a little sad about it at first, since we really wanted the lawn reception, but it ended up being so beautiful and cozy. That’s the beauty of this venue - whatever you do, it will be absolutely STUNNING! We still had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing outside (it didn’t rain after all), and it was absolutely perfect. I have received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was, and we’re so thankful we booked here! You won’t regret it.
It was a beautiful venue with plenty of space. The staff was very helpful and always available.
We had our wedding here and I want to give the pros and cons of things I wish I knew.
Pros:
- It's stunning. The grounds, the history, the backdrop is all so beautiful. There isn't...
a bad spot for pictures. We had the ceremony by the pavilion under the trees which was smart with how hot it is out. The breeze on the bay also is key for Florida.
- They communicate well and are very clear on what you can and cannot do.
Cons:
- There's a lot you cannot do. Read over everything for your instructions!
- Your 6 caterers are great, but expect it to be expensive. It definitely feels very limiting when you can only pick places that start at $2k for just lighting if you want it.
- Your venue contract may say 11-11 p.m. but that's not including the caterer. I was a little taken aback when the caterers start at about 4 hours from 6 to 10 and the party has to end by 10 for them to clear out by 11. If you want it to end by 11 or later, you have to pay.
There's a lot of hidden costs and things you may have to forgo having it here, but overall, we're a low key couple and loved our experience.
We got married here and it was the absolute best decision we made! This place is just STUNNING!! The photos do not do this place justice. When I saw it for the first time in person...
at my rehearsal I was just in awe! I fell in love with this place the second we got there. It is the most beautiful venue I have ever seen and it truly felt like a "fairytale wedding" The views are gorgeous, the grounds are gorgeous, and we had an amazing sunset the evening of our wedding. We will never forget this place and our wedding here was truly a dream come true!
The Powel Crosley Estate was an amazing venue, we received many compliments on it! Communication was smooth via email, and the facility is well-kept and gorgeous. We had a swarm of...
sugar ants in the bride's room within one hour of putting snacks out, so don't snack in there. Other than that very minor blip, the venue was absolutely flawless (and totally wheelchair accessible). Thank you so very much for the wedding of our dreams!
Gorgeous, perfect, magical, elegant…the list goes on! The Crosley offers the perfect back drop for a waterfront wedding without being a regular beach wedding with worrying about th...
e sand. It has the bases for a variety of wedding style such as, 20s, black and white, rustic, vintage, classic, and more. I loved our wedding at the Crosley with a rustic/vintage theme having white flowers and blue and gold accent colors to pop against the building exterior color as well as the natural greenery of nature. The venue offers an easy transition to an indoor wedding if weather turns and offers a solid canvas for flowers, candles, lights, and people to make a fairytale wedding. JoAnna was a quick email away to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend the twinkle lights and chandelier over the patio and lawn to make the venue even more gorgeous as the sunsets. Guests and family stayed only 10-20 minutes away from venue in downtown Sarasota or on Lido Key and there was a variety of transportation options for the event. The venue offers several preferred catering options that allows event to be as customizable as one wishes. My recommendation is Pier 22, as we had a wonderful experience with them as the caterer. From the history of the building to the ability to enter/exit by boat, no other venue is like the Powel Crosley Estate!
I absolutely LOVED our venue!! I highly recommend it. The views are gorgeous and there are so many options on ways to do the layout. There is limited indoor seating so plan to have...

ouldn't imagine a more perfect wedding! We held our ceremony waterfront by the bay and the reception was inside with dancing outside under the lights! Great location as well for visitors - we are originally from ATL so it being close to downtown Sarasota and the airport was perfect. Highly recommend this location!!! 1000x!!

ID guidelines and made sure to stay in touch about any changes that were happening along the way.
What I found to be amazing was the fact that the entire venue was all ours for the entirety of our rental hours. There was no, "Come in an hour before to set up". It has a bride and groom suite to get ready, it has space for vendors to come and set up, it is truly an amazing, historical space to have a wedding.
This was such a beautiful space to get married.

d extra hours so that the bridal party could get ready there and between the bridal suite and the library there was plenty of room for my large bridal party to hang out (9 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, 2 mothers). The scenery is amazing and makes for the most elegant photos. The estate speaks for itself and our guests could not stop commenting on how beautiful it was. We lucked out with perfect weather. Highly recommend this venue!

less. She was transparent, informative and very responsive. The Estate is so gorgeous and offers so much opportunity to make a wedding there personally yours. My husband and I wanted an unique wedding venue in our planning process and Powel Crosley was our answer. Each piece of the estate is stunning - from the inside, back patio/lawn, to the building architecture and view of the bay. It is so whimsical and we can't wait to come back in years to come to just take back in its beauty. We are so grateful we chose to have our wedding at such a beautiful location- the Estate will always hold a special place in our hearts and can't thank the incredible staff enough for making our wedding day vision come to life.

out how beautiful the venue was. JoAnna was so amazing and always fast with responses, helping with any question my mom and I had and overall a huge blessing to be working with. I highly suggest booking your wedding at The Powel Crosley Estate<3
I don't have enough words to express how amazing the Powel Crosley is! My husband and I had our wedding reception here and it felt like a fairytale! It was truly my dream wedding. ...
The venue is absolutely beautiful and it's right on the water so we were able to get some amazing sunset photos. Our guests loved exploring all the different rooms and they said it felt like they were in a castle. Our dinner in the great room really did feel like a royal banquet! The estate has so many beautiful spots to take photos- both inside and around the grounds. We loved making a grand entrance on the balcony and getting to descend the grand staircase to join our guests on the patio outside. Dancing on the patio under the twinkle lights was the perfect way to end the night. The Crosley also has a dock that we used to make a boat exit at the end of the night. My husband and I are big history nerds, so getting to learn about the rich history of the estate was an added bonus. JoAnna was very professional and a pleasure to work with throughout the whole planning process. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day. I can't recommend this venue enough!

nd outside, and took so many pictures all over the property. We had our ceremony and reception outside, but using the inside was our backup plan in case of bad weather. We liked that we had that flexibility. There are some rules to follow at the venue, but they are little things we could work around (such as no sparklers). We loved that we had the beautiful water view. The sunset and nighttime under the lights outside made for an absolutely stunning atmosphere. And one of my favorite things was walking down the beautiful staircase to my groom. The venue is so well taken care of, and the staff was wonderful! JoAnna was very responsive and helpful during the planning process, despite having to navigate all of the changes during the pandemic. And the onsite staff on our wedding day was so helpful and friendly. The Crosley will always be such a special place to us!

I can’t say enough good things about the Powel Crosley! Not only is it the most gorgeous venue ever (I know, I’m biased) but the staff was so helpful and easy to work with. JoAnna ...
and Anne were wonderful at making sure we had everything booked and detailed leading up to the event, and everything went so smoothly on the day off. They were always super accessible and easy to communicate with, especially with changing hours, alcohol orders, and adding items to our invoice. I’m so appreciative we chose to get married at the Crosley, it was truly a perfect day!

breath away. Add a wedding to that you are golden. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. All the staff we worked with at the Crosley was always accommodating and friendly. SO happy we had our wedding there.
We had been planning our wedding for well over a year. The big thing was to make sure we had the venue of our dreams. The Powel Crosely Estate did that and then some. Not only did ...
the venue stick out because of how beautiful it was, the staff was extremely understanding, transparent, and helpful they were through the process. Anytime we had a question, they were always right there either with an answer or at least letting us know that he was looking into it and would get back to us as soon as possible. When it came to the day of the event the venue was absolutely perfect the staff was extremely helpful and almost all of the guests commented on how perfect the night was and how beautiful the venue was all set up. The staff of the Powel really helped make our day absolutely perfect so the we didn't have to worry about a thing. Words really can't do justice for the service that they provided but we thank you

th her again. But, the best part of course, is the venue. Words cannot describe how amazing and intimate this venue is! Beautiful, stunning, incredible bay views with no red tide, and fantastic bartenders. Powel Crosley was everything we could’ve asked for and more on our very special day! We’re so grateful to have had the opportunity to have our wedding at such an incredible venue. I really wish I could have another event at the PC….maybe one day!
No regrets about having our ceremony and reception outside at the Crosley!! The lawn overlooking the water was amazing! Plenty of space to host our 140 guests. Also, the Manatee Co...

Signed up to have our wedding here. The place is nice, but the value is horrible. I'm not generally a major critic, but this is definitely one of those venues that finds a way to n...
ickel and dime you for everything. In addition, would NOT recommend this place if you have a wedding larger than 75 people. (Can't make everyone fit inside and see what's going on, you have to break them up across rooms which ended up being VERY weird for a wedding.) You are rrquired to use their list of vendors and they take a cut of that too. Need a cake? They'll take a cut. Bringing in decor? They take a cut. Need a tent? You can't get it yourself (quote was $1800 for me personally), you have to go through a vendor (quote from the vendor was $8,000-$10,000...you read that right... wasn't a typo). Why the price difference? "We have to supervise the company setting it up and taking it down and make sure it doesn't hit any power lines." Then the PC takes their 10% on top of that and will charge you for every minute their partner vendors show up early and every minute they're gathering up the stuff late. Operationally, there are two bathrooms. Your wedding WILL have a major line at the bathrooms and they weren't well cleaned either. We put money down here and paid vendors, when we ended up being quoted 40% over our budget after all was said and done and we were 3 months away from the wedding, we changed venues to an equally nice, but more much more accommodating venue in the area. They couldn't give us a single dollar back "per policy"... I didn't even mention the red tide, don't get me started there.... (Don't think I wasn't stressing about it... But this place had no trouble putting us in position to be in financial ruin with the nickel and diming... Not a great way to start off a marriage for me, or retirement for my parents in a few years.) Look elsewhere.
After touring the Powel Crosley I immediately knew I HAD to have it as my venue. It is gorgeous! It was a little over my budget but after having dreams about it, I knew it was me...
ant to be-- and it was totally worth it! It is right on the water which makes for amazing sunset pictures. (and without all the sand at the beach front venues). I loved the venue So you definitely have my recommendation!!! I just want to write a few things to make other brides aware: you are given the WHOLE estate (AND ITS GORGEOUS INSIDE AND OUT) --it has a bridal suite and a suite for groomsmen to get ready also. You have from noon until 10 pm (hard out and cleaned by 11), but can purchase extra hours if you need. ( I kept as is, and had enough time) but I know some brides may need more time to get ready for hair and MU, so just a consideration. It has bathrooms for guests -- so no renting portapottys--YUCK! You can have dinner inside or outside, which leaves you options for rain. The inside is air conditioned, which helps in Florida as you probably know! The powel crosley has its own liquor license and controls the bar for you. They are very accommodating for signature drinks (We had margaritas and Old fashioned) and they were definitely reasonable on prices. They offer a range of drinks for you to choose from from 4 dollars a drink and up, and you can choose from open bar, cash bar, or a mix of both. I will say they do not talk to you about your bar options until 30-45 days before your event (I wanted to get it all figured out 6 months in advance because I am type A, but was unable to.) You will need to have your own "wedding/event" insurance, so budget in an extra $100 for that... this was an unexpected expense the final month leading to my wedding. But overall such a great experience and I wish I could do it again!!!

he experience unique and having both first and second floors of the historical mansion available to walk around and romanticize add to the event. Perfect picture-taking settings inside and outside.
The Event Manager, Samantha Jackson, who is always in the premises during the event, made sure that the property was well prepared and that the host and guests had no concerns bout its readiness for the celebration. Her thoughtfulness and generosity made my "first look" moment with my daughter the most memorable since I first became a father.
I highly recommend this venue.
Absolutely beautiful venue! It was picture perfect! The staff is very accommodating to your wants and needs. I would 100% recommend.

lp to make your wedding day all come together! We had the privilege of working with Samantha Jackson who was the event manager for our big day. From the moment we started working together I knew she was going to help make our dream wedding day come to life! Since the bar services are provided through the Powel Crosley and not the catering companies at this venue, Samantha made sure to take care of EVERYTHING we needed and was in constant contact with myself and my in-laws to make sure everything was how we wanted. She was kind, courteous, and prompt and you could tell she loved her job and working with all of her brides and grooms. The entire staff that helps to take care of and make this unique and stunning venue come to life for each new event are remarkable and we literally couldn't have even dreamed of a better wedding. We wish we could re-live our wedding night over and over it was so perfect! Thank you Samantha and to the Powel Crosley Estate staff for giving us the greatest night of our lives thus far!!
Just loved it so beautiful. There in-house caterer, Milan is outstanding Book now, they are incredibly busy, always

usly preserved mansion from the twenties, with a full open view of the Sarasota Bay. The staff at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, who manage the estate, were at all times, cordial, helpful and informative. We couldn’t have been more thrilled to host our guests at this fabulous venue!
From the moment we came across the Powel Crosley in our online search for a wedding venue, we knew it was the one. We actually secured our date and paid a deposit months before we ...
even laid eyes on the venue, as we live out of state. I will admit that the initial stages of the planning process were made difficult by the fact that the venue is owned by the county and managed by office staff who are not on site, but once we got closer to our wedding date, we were assigned an event manager (Maribeth), who was incredible!! We talked by phone about several of the details weeks in advance and she was on site a few hours before our ceremony to make sure we had everything we needed, including extra bottles of champagne for the bridal suite. The majority of the design and planning was done by our caterer/event planning vendor (not affiliated with the Crosley in any way), so it really isn't necessary to have regular contact with anyone from the venue months in advance. The one unique thing about the Crosley is that they must provide and serve all of the alcohol for the event, so that is one area in which you must work closely with the site manager to choose your alcohol package and secure payment.
The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous in its natural state. The grounds are beautiful. If you get lucky like we did, you will have an incredible view of the sunset over Sarasota Bay during your cocktail hour/reception and dance the night away with your guests under the stars (and the beautiful chandelier we rented). There isn't much you need to do to decorate the venue aside from flowers and table settings because it is so beautiful on its own. I wish we could go back and do it all over again! It was by far the best day of our lives!

Such an amazing facility , they are very flexible and the view is amazing
This venue was lovely! There isn't much that is needed to dress it up. I was able to get most of my questions answered early on, prior to being assigned my event manager 30 days ou...

The Crosely handles all of the alcohol served on site and has their own bartender. The event manager was onsite to meet any vendors and supervise set ups and build outs. We have had so many compliments on the wedding venue! So many beautiful backdrops for lovely photographs. It couldn't have been a more perfect evening!
We had our wedding here this past February and it was perfect! We worked very closely with Maribeth Liberty and she is outstanding to work with!
