The Powder Room is an excellent vendor for bridal and bridal party hair and makeup. After having a bad experience with a former HMU vendor, I was less than a month out from my Marc...
h 2023 wedding when I realized I needed to find something new. I messaged The Powder Room on The Knot, desperate to find a vendor with availability on our date to do my hair and makeup. I think I lucked out being able to book them so late, probably primarily because my husband and I got married on a weekday. The Powder Room's coordinator Sarah responded to me pretty quickly and listened with care to my concerns and worries. This was a breath of fresh air after my previous vendor ignored my concerns. Sarah scheduled a trial with Rachel, the owner of The Powder Room, and Rachel, too, was genuinely invested in me being happy and looking like I wanted to on my wedding day. I had been so nervous after the previous bad experience that I was so extremely relieved to have someone sit down after the makeup was finished, and directly asked me to critique her work. What did I like? What didn't I like? How can we make you feel *even better*? As an introvert and non-confrontational person, it's sometimes hard for me to voice things about any changes I'd have done to a service, especially since I'm fairly inexperienced with makeup.
Later, my mother-in-law, sister, and sisters-in-law asked if they would be able to get their hair and makeup done with me the day of the wedding (we didn't otherwise have a bridal party). I was nervous about asking The Powder Room for even more services at last minute and tempered my family's expectations. But Sarah found a way to make it work! She brought in Raquel and Meagan to help do their hair and makeup. I was honestly so, so surprised with their willingness to cater to these requests: they clearly care about the happiness of their clients.
The day of my wedding, my family and I had wonderful experiences working with Raquel, Meagan, and Renee. Renee was able to give me exactly the look I was going for. She made me feel absolutely beautiful (and absolutely myself). I couldn't imagine a better outcome to what felt hopeless a month earlier with the other vendor. The Powder Room was considerate, courteous, professional, and helpful in making my day absolutely perfect, despite my coming to them so extremely late. I highly recommend The Powder Room as a bridal (and bridal party) hair and makeup vendor.
Maggie & Dalen were the absolute dream team, I booked for myself (bride) and my 3 bridesmaids. I got them for my trial and was so excited to get them for my wedding day! They work ...
so well together and made the morning getting ready so much fun, we chatted and hung out like we had been friends forever.
Very easy the communicate, the girls were super friendly and quick!
My wedding party felt like they were hanging out with friends while we were getting our hair and makeup done. They did amazing!
Hiring The Powder Room was one of the best decisions I made as a bride. We did hair and makeup for me, my MOH and six flower girls. The three artists who came to the hotel really t...
ook the time to customize each look beautifully. I also really appreciated how they made sure each Flower Girl really felt like they were getting the full glam experience while still doing makeup appropriate for a child. Not only was everything gorgeous, it all lasted throughout the wedding and into the afterparty.

Rachel is a makeup and hair dressing WIZARD! Not only is she the sweetest lady, she made the entire event so stress-free and calmed all my nerves. She knows what she's doing and I'...
ve never felt more beautiful in my entire life. On the trial makeup and hair run through, she took her time and made sure I could voice any of my tweaks and changes, she made sure I loved it before she left and even on the day of the wedding, I could make changes if I wanted. She also did my mother's hair and makeup and she did INCREDIBLY! My mother was a knockout and for two people that never wear a ton of makeup, she really took that into account and lets true beauty shine.
She's amazing, I recommend her to everyone.
Rachel and her team did an amazing job for our Indian-Mexican fusion wedding in April 2022! I knew from the moment we did our hair and make-up trial that she was someone I would ge...
t along with. Little did I know that the day of the big weekend, she would be a beacon of fun and calming energy. She has a great sense of humor, she’s flexible and cognizant of people’s needs, and she made me look and feel absolutely stunning! She and I had so much fun getting ready, it felt like we had known each other for years. The icing on the cake (pun intended) was that she was fairly knowledgeable about Indian customs, including bridal jewelry and draping. The rest of her team made the wedding party look beautiful, as well, making sure everyone was satisfied. We are so grateful to all of them.
Rachel is such a talented artist! She is so kind and knew exactly what to say when I was nervous on my wedding day. She made me feel so comfortable and was open to any feedback I g...

l. Communication with my hair stylist, Jen, and make-up artist, Meagan, was so prompt and professional! Jen was so efficient with doing my bridal hair as well as four bridesmaids' hair! Jen was also so relaxing and calming to be around - which was perfect since she was the first person I was interacting with on the morning of my wedding! Meagan was very sweet to work with and she was so responsive to my request for a more natural bridal make-up look since I don't typically wear a lot of makeup in everyday life. I also did a makeup trial with Meagan the week of the wedding, which I strongly recommend! It was great to do a test run prior to the wedding so I knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day. Thank you to the talented artists at The Powder Room for helping to make my wedding day amazing!
I hired Rachel to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. We did two trials before and she was so open to making any adjustments as we both figured out what my wedding look would be....
Not only is she super good at her job, she is so friendly and personable!!! On the day of my wedding she was prompt and did everything perfectly. I am so happy with how everything turned out!!!!
I would give 3.5 stars if that was possible. I was REALLY happy with the final product, but I was not impressed with the process. It took a long while to get services locked down a...
fter the trial. Speaking of the trial, I spent three hours on a Sunday doing the trial. The artist took photos of my hair and makeup and notes about what products she used and then she did not share those with the artists that were actually present to do my hair and makeup the day of the wedding. If my mother and I had not taken sub par photos on our phones, there would have been no record of my trial for the artists on the day of. That was disappointing and caused me unnecessary stress on my wedding day and made me feel like I wasted time some time and money with the trial. Thankfully the artists that did my wedding hair and makeup are very talented and were able to give me a look that was similar to the trial and that I was happy with.
Rachel was an amazing make-up artist. I felt gorgeous on my wedding day, and we had alot of fun together during the trial and event day. She's really friendly and personable, and s...
ure knows her makeup!!
Rachel and her team are the best! Rachel took the time to understand exactly what I wanted for my bridal look and executed it flawlessly. My makeup looked incredible and it stayed ...
in place during our very long Indian wedding day. She even had experience in placing tricky Indian jewelry! I also want to note, they are super hygenic and I felt super comfortable knowing all their tools were sanitized properly. Additionally, the thing I appreciated about them the most is that they are super calm and collected even when the bridal party & family can be stressed & stressful!
I cannot say enough good things about Rachel and the team. Rachel and Sarah were so thorough, kind, and professional throughout the entire process. I was an out-of-state bride, and...
I knew as soon as I did my trial that I’d made the right choice in making The Powder Room a part of our big day. Rachel helped me achieve the perfect look for my wedding, and the team did an incredible job on my family’s hair and makeup too. They were prompt, made sure everyone loved their looks, and were a joy to be around. Rachel is so talented and fantastic, and I’d choose The Powder Room all over again! There aren’t enough words for how grateful I am for Rachep and her team.
Rachel is the most incredible makeup artist EVER. No exaggeration. I wanted an avant-garde look for my wedding day and she made my vision come to life! I chose a really ethereal lo...
ok and we played with a fun duo chrome eyeshadow I found, some magnificent extra fine glitter that complimented the pink undertones in my skin and highlighted all the right areas, and scattered pearls that framed my face. I really wish I could attach pictures here but I can’t! (Once I receive them in 6-8 weeks I’ll be sending them over to Rachel)
Rachel’s team is also amazing! I had a big wedding party and I wanted each of my bridesmaids to pick their own unique look as my dress code was Met Gala. They all loved what they chose and each artist paid such great attention to detail.
Since I had a big party we started extra early at 7am for my 7pm New Year’s Eve wedding, I was initially very worried about the makeup lasting but I didn’t need any touch up at all! My makeup literally lasted all night long!
I cannot sing my praises for The Powder Room enough. You will not be disappointed when you book Rachel for any event you have!
Rachel was wonderful. She is very sweet and did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup. I'm glad that I did the trial because we were able to test out looks and determine what would...
look best for the big day. She answered all of my questions and took my feedback/ gave advice when I asked for it. We did have a small mixup with communication on pricing the week of, but after a few emails we were able to sort it out with her assistant, who was very courteous and helpful.
Rachel and her team were fantastic! Not only did my hair turn out amazing, but Rachel was also very understanding about a few last-minute additions, like adding Babies Breath into ...
my braid. Her and her team are great at what they do - and they're very personable! Great overall experience and I highly recommend!
Rachel did hair and make-up for my wedding in May 2021. It was so wonderful that they were able to come to my home and help all of us get ready in "my place." This is exactly what ...
I wanted and I couldn't have asked for a better setup. They got 6 bridesmaids + mother of the bride + me ready. We were perfectly on time and it was so relaxed. I did not want to be at a salon, particularly with COVID19 so it was so nice to be home in a comfortable environment. Rachel and her team were so professional, polite and easy to get along with . They really helped make the day perfect. I highly recommend their service.

ork to make sure I was 100% happy with my look! Wedding day was the same!! I had so much fun chatting and joking with her as she worked. She really made it feel like I was having my makeup done by a good friend, and after working with her, I totally want to be her real friend 😂 I was OBSESSED with my hair and makeup. Rachel made me feel so beautiful on my special day!
This team went above and beyond! Truly a joy to be around during the application - you can tell they enjoy each other and what they do and see that they want to make sure your day ...

family and friends). She went above and beyond anything I asked for. I felt absolutely stunning on my wedding day! Everyone she worked with on my wedding day felt so special too! I highly recommend her for her skills and talent when it comes to hair and makeup, but also for the energy she brings along with her! Rachel is the best!
Rachel with The Powder Room was easily one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day! I had her do my makeup for my engagement photo session ahead of the big day and I knew I...
was in good hands immediately. Her talent is beyond words incredible but on top of that she'll make you feel like a movie star in her chair! We had so much fun chit chatting while she worked her magic. I've never felt more beautiful both for my engagement photos and my wedding day! I was a bride that didn't have a Pinterest photo ready to go for hair and makeup inspiration but she asked all the right questions and I immediately felt like she understood my vision. She arrived on time for the wedding day and my whole bridal party including my mom and mother-in-law were all done on time. Hiring an on site beauty team that will come to you is the way to go and if you're considering Rachel, you can stop looking.. you found your girl. Thank you for everything Rachel!
Rachel with The Powder Room was incredible. I had two looks for my wedding but changed three (yes, three!) times. For one look I had a hair piece and another I did not. Rachel was ...
so patient, kind, and delicate in placing and then removing my hairpiece in between look changes. She was right there during photos tweaking my hair (it was very windy) and touching up my makeup between outfit changes and ceremony to reception.
In addition to that, she ensured that all 10 WOMEN in my party (plus mom and MIL) were ready with hair and makeup done and out the door on time. Her team of people were great and made all the most important women in my life look and feel their best.
I am so grateful to have had Rachel and The Powder Room. I had no stress or worry in coordinating her and her team and she made me feel beautiful all day (and night) long.
The Powder Room team did such an amazing job on my daughter's wedding day!! I was thankful that they were willing to come to the venue in Amado. They arrived early, got set up and ...
were ready to go when the bridal party arrived. They worked quickly and the results were AMAZING! They really captured the style my daughter wanted both for her bridesmaids and for herself on her most important day. I wish I could post a picture because the bride's hair was miraculous! I cannot tell you how many compliments she received. Rachel is a true artisit!! Plus she is warm and kind and just a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Rachel and Clarisse, for making my daughter's wedding day even more beautiful!!!
I really loved working with Rachel (as did my mom). Not a huge makeup person so was pretty hesitant about the whole thing. Rachel was extremely understanding - the look ended up be...
ing natural and very "me" but also elevated for the photos/occasion. I really appreciated her calm, super friendly and extremely accepting/inclusive attitude - she brought a lot of good vibes to my wedding day and made an element of it that I was pretty nervous about totally easy and successful. I spent a lot of time researching hair and makeup folks in Tucson and was frustrated that I wasn't finding anyone who aligned with my vision or more low key/alternative vibe. So very glad I found Rachel!
I loved Rachel! She had amazing personality. I loved what she did with the hair and make up for me and my bridesmaids. Everyone at the wedding said nothing but great things! <3

ttle more glam for the wedding day.) Rachel was very personable and it was easy to forget we basically had just met and felt more like life long friends with her easy going personality. Not to be confused with a slacker, she was on time, organized and we stayed on schedule she just made me feel calm and at ease in the process.
Best part she had the most beautiful shade of red for my lips and it stayed on a solid 7-8 hours which is saying something since I definitely put it to the taste with all the first kiss smooches :) haha

nd working in entertainment, I was looking for someone who was versatile and not your typical bridal artist. I didn’t want your standard bridal look, it’s just not me, I wanted a look that was boho glam with an editorial twist. Rachel perfectly executed my vision in a way I honestly don’t think may other artists in the area could. She made me feel like a goddess on my wedding day, and more importantly, she still made me feel like me which was key. She’s a rare gem in the Tucson area - trust me!
