What an absolute gem of a venue! From beginning to end, Nancy and Roger were so accommodating and kind. The grounds are beautiful with gorgeous maple trees giving the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. The bride and groom areas a perfectly set up, and the barn is magical. The bar area was so unique and perfect for guests to mingle. The food was great and beautifully set up. Our son and daughter in law’s wedding day was amazing! ❤️
My husband and I could not have asked for a better venue!!! The bridal/bridesmaid suite and grooms suite were set up perfectly and had room for everyone to get ready! Nancy and Rodger were an absolute delight to work with. They answered all emails in a timely manner and always made sure they had their questions answered and we had our questions answered. Watching the venue come together was truly magical and they were very helpful and accommodating to any of our needs. It was truly a dream come true working with owners, and the venue was perfect!!! The layout of the barn helped the flow of foot traffic from getting congested and kept the dance floor open for everyone. Having the ceremony and reception at the same location made for the smoothest transition from ceremony to reception.
We simply couldn’t recommend The Poor Farm more! We loved all of it!

The on-site barn, with a capacity of up to 150 people, is probably the ideal place for a reception dinner.
