We would absolutely not recommend Polished Foxx and Erik Foxx-Nettnin to cater anyone’s event. Erik Foxx-Nettnin is a deceitful and disingenuous person who should not be trusted wi...
th anyone’s special events. We hired Polished Foxx to cater our wedding. They ended up sending our food to the wrong event and as a result we had a quarter of the food we had agreed upon and paid for. To make it worse, Erik Foxx-Nettnin failed to even notify us about this issue and tried to pass it off as if everything was okay. As dinner was being served it became clear that there was an issue because people were given very little food. After we finally complained about what was going on, Erik Foxx-Nettnin finally told us about the issue. He could have easily told us earlier in the day and we could have then figured out a different game plan, but instead he waited until an hour into dinner to mention this to us and only after we complained about it. Following that night, Erik refused to reimburse us for what we had paid and came up with every excuse in the book to get out of reimbursing us the money we were owed back. In the end, Erik Foxx-Nettnin ruined our special day and I would never want that for anyone. Please do yourself a favor and find a different caterer. There are plenty in the area who are working at a higher higher and honest level then Erik and the Polished Foxx.
We hired Erik and his team at the Polished Foxx for our October 2022 wedding in Winchester. He absolutely made our wedding everything we imagined.
Food:
Our experience started wit...
h a tasting at his location in Leesburg. We were welcomed with a large cheese and charcuterie plate, followed by multiple tastings of appetizers, main course items, and dessert. He made real-time tweaks to the menu to accommodate exactly what we wanted for the wedding. On our wedding day, everything his team served was absolutely delicious, still hot, cooked well, and seasoned perfectly. We're still getting compliments from our guests two months later.
Service:
Erik's team was professional, on-time, and polite. One of his bartenders was exceptionally fun to the point where guests mentioned him after the wedding. Wine glasses were never empty and food was served promptly.
Overall experience:
Erik went beyond the usual caterer scope of work to ensure our day ran smoothly. He ordered special table chargers for us and found new tablecloths when our coordinator had given him the wrong table measurements. He helped keep things moving according to schedule, ensuring we hit our desired milestones, like the cake cutting. Most importantly, he is calm and collected and an extremely talented chef. He's was a pleasure to have on-site at our wedding. H
We would 100%, without hesitation, choose the Polished Foxx to cater an event in the future. Thanks, Erik.
Erik Foxx is a master!! I would highly recommend The Polished Foxx to anyone who loves food and wants their wedding to be memorable. Erik isn't a caterer, he is a chef who creates...
a food experience by selecting locally sourced ingredients and combining flavors that all work beautifully together. From the moment I took the first bite at the tasting, I knew we'd made the right choice! The team worked tirelessly to create a beautiful evening for us. They were attentive but non-intrusive; they kept everything flowing to accommodate our pace and schedule. A truly wonderful experience - thank you to Erik and the whole Polished Foxx team!!
