After getting engaged, my Maid of Honor, now-husband Andrew, and I planned a day to tour popular wedding venues around Raleigh, after I got off a row of three night shifts. The first two venues we visited were beautiful but lacked that special something. Exhausted and a bit disheartened, I nearly canceled our last appointment at The Pavilion at Carriage Farm, which was a 50-minute drive away. Fortunately, my MOH and Andrew convinced me to go, and I am eternally grateful they did.
Driving up the long, scenic path to the venue instantly lifted my spirits. The beauty and grandeur of the venue struck me as soon as we arrived. Alyson, who showed us around, was incredibly welcoming, kind, professional and really knew so much about the property and what it had to offer. The Pavilion was stunning, spacious, and exuded an enchanting charm that none of the other venues had. The venue has a gorgeous bridal suite and a comfortable groom’s den, which were perfect for us.
I always dreamed of an outdoor ceremony, while Andrew, who tends to get warm easily, preferred an indoor reception. The Pavilion at Carriage Farm was ideal because it allowed us to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a comfortable indoor reception.
Throughout the planning process I went to several events they hosted pertaining to wedding planning tips and tricks where I had the pleasure of meeting Marti, the owner, who was a true gem. Marti’s support, warmth, and dedication made the wedding planning less stressful and ensured that our day was perfect. She even helped calm my nerves before the ceremony with a heartfelt prayer over me and my dad, who attempted to pray but couldn’t hold back his tears, making me feel reassured and ready to marry the man of my dreams.
The Pavilion at Carriage Farm is breathtaking, and the people who run it make the experience even more exceptional. It turned my fairytale wedding dreams into reality, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile and magical venue with extraordinary support on their wedding day.
The Pavilion gave us exactly what we wanted for our big day. The location was perfect to allow our guests to stay downtown but still sneak away close by and get the country feel we desired. The venue was incredibly clean, spacious, and of course visibly stunning. All of our guests raved about the venue and how much they enjoyed the event.
The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. They were always prepared, and their knowledge and confidence was very comforting throughout a process that could have been very stressful. They were even very flexible and accommodating for us having the ceremony itself off-site.
On the day of our wedding, our Coordinator from the Pavilion woke up sick and the assistant had to take over. You would not have even known anything was different. There was never a time where we felt nervous or anxious about our reception thanks to their immense knowledge and great relationship with all of the vendors. You can tell they have experience, but their passion is undeniable, and for that we will be forever thankful.

Facilities and Capacity
This 10,000-square-foot space blends country charm with elegance. For your ceremony, choose between two stunning options. Just steps from the Pavilion, exchange vows at the Bryleigh Rose Wedding Chapel, a custom-built, white-steepled chapel with a striking bell tower that seats 250 guests. Inside, white walls rise to a tongue-and-groove wood ceiling under antique gold chandeliers, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of Carolina pines and oaks. Ring the bell in the tower as you step out as newlyweds. Prefer the outdoors? Say "I do" in the rear garden beneath our elegant pergola.
Get ready in the 700-square-foot Bridal Suite with your attendants, or the separate Groom's Den. Guests enter through large wooden double doors to the climate-controlled reception area, greeted by the glow of four chandeliers. At the far end, a 34-foot wood-burning fireplace of Tennessee field stone is topped with a mantel beam reclaimed from the original 1800s home on the property. The barn rises to a 30-foot gambrel roof and accommodates 50 to 275 guests with room for dinner and dancing.
Behind the Pavilion, French doors open onto our covered outdoor patio, ideal for cocktail hour or extending the celebration into the open air. With a gas fire pit and cozy seating, the patio overlooks rolling pastures and towering NC pines for a serene backdrop and sunset views.

Marti was born and raised in Raleigh, NC and practiced real estate from 1989 to 2001. She and her husband, Kirk have been married since 1992 and have 2 children. Marti and her husband designed and built the Pavilion in 2016, and it opened for it’s first wedding in April 2017! In her spare time, Marti enjoys spending time horseback riding, gardening, or vacationing with her family at the beach!
