Had our wedding there. They lied about being able to use their sound system. Then lied about the leftover food. Told people that we said throw it away but never even asked us. They...
wanted to put the food behind us at the altar while we were getting married. I asked them if they could move the table they said it would be 45-1hr to move it. They never moved it we had to. They also said the business would be open as early as 9am that day so we could set up and rehearse if we wanted to. They didnt answer the phone or door between 11-12 when my now husband showed up. I had to bang on the door and call numerous times at 1:30pm to start setting up when i got there and doors were to open at 3 for guests. The food we asked specifically for certain things as I had a sensitivity to cinnamon and they did the opposite and put cinnamon in the dish. Overall i would not recommend as they are hard to communicate with and do not follow directions and do not follow through on what they say.
I used Outpost for my wedding. THEY DID NOT BRING ENOUGH FOOD FOR ALL OF MY GUESTS!!! I told them more people than we had, and they STILL ran out of food!!!! Some of my guests had ...
to eat doughnuts for dinner. What a fiasco. Also, I asked for buffet service during covid assuming that there would be people serving at the buffet ( Isn't that a no brainer?). This did not happen, and all of my guests had to serve themselves with the same utensils. To top it off, the food was mediocre at best. Don't use Outpost. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
Food was simply perfect! Due to Covid was unable to trial any meals, but it didn’t matter. Everything was great. Had so many guests mention it was the best wedding food they’ve eve...
r had. Green bean casserole has no meat so great for my vegetarian guests. The chicken teriyaki was gluten free so was perfect for those guests. Because we were at an outside venue, they let us bring some family favorite salads as well to serve.
The food was great with a reasonable price! They were friendly and easy to work with. Very happy with our service.
We used them for our catering/reception. Their food was amazing and they definitely gave plenty of it. The price for them to cut and serve the cake, after the cake cutting, was rea...
lly inexpensive and they actually gave slices vs cutting the tiny squares, which I appreciated. The plated meals were decently priced and the cash bar worked out great. We had done the NY Strip and the Chicken Cordon Bleu with twice baked red potatoes and green beans with bacon. The meal was served with salad and rolls and the free drinks were lemonade, tea and water. Their proteins were amazing during the taste test and I absolutely loved the potatoes. The green beans with bacon were just as great. They do give you the option of renting the entire space or just half of the room. Our party was so small we could've gone with just half but we were wanting to try and space it out so people didn't feel smashed together so we had paid for the whole building. We ended up only using half, though, which I was kinda upset with, but the room came together so nicely and it worked out perfectly. Food was put out hot and drinks were cold. The lights were dimmed perfectly for our lights that we had put up. I absolutely loved it. Would definitely recommend for catering or party!
The Outpost provided delicious food and amazing service!
Delicious food, excellent service, good price! We really enjoyed working with The Outpost and are glad we chose them for our wedding caterers. We would definitely recommend them to...
other Lafayette couples.
Great food and great service! I highly recommend The Outpost for any catering job!
We chose a unique menu that the Outpost had never done before, and they did a great job with it. We held both our ceremony and reception at their venue, and they were really accomm...
odating when it came to the unique set-up work that we required. Everything they set up for us was just as we asked, and it turned out beautifully.
The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was for some communication and organization problems leading up to the wedding. They were often very late getting back to us by email (they would say we would hear Tuesday, and we wouldn't hear until after we called wondering the following Thursday, for instance; and once we just never heard back at all), and many of the things we discussed never made it to our written banquet order (usually, they had it written down somewhere else, but if we don't have it in writing from them, how are we supposed to know that they heard us??).
I have worked with Outpost many times for events at work, so it was an easy choice when it came planning our wedding.
They did an amazing job on the food and everything turned...
out exactly as it should have. They were on time and very attentive to all of the guests.
Not only do they do a great job with the food, but the service is excellent as well. The management staff is easy to work with and willing to do whatever is requested and at a great price.
I requested a few appetizers for the cocktail hour that was not on their menu and they were very willing to make them for us and display them as we had requested.
The staff has been very helpful, the food selection is great, and the price is very reasonable. I honestly have no complaints at all about the place!
The service at our reception was great! The staff really helped out to make everything go smoothly. The food was delicious and well worth the price.
My wedding was Aug 14, 2010 and it was absolutely amazing! We had so many compliments from all of our guests regarding how amazing the food was and how kind all of the servers were...
. I could not have asked for a better venue.
