We were so lucky that OMB had availability for our special day, we initially planned for a destination wedding but due to covid had to cancel. I'm so grateful we did because I woul...
dn't have changed anything. Alex went above and beyond for us, we could not have asked for a better experience. She constantly checked in, answered all my questions with patience and reassured me everything would be great.

d for us. Charlotte was available, easy to communicate with, and genuinely seemed eager and happy to work with us. Planning was really stress-free. The food was AMAZING! We got so many compliments on that, the beer, and the cider! OMB provided so many of the essentials - tables, chairs, table cloths, etc, even candle votives. This saved us so much in rental costs that we were able to afford an open bar and other amenities that otherwise would have been out of our budget.
Our guests had nice, clean facilities available, the room was private to us but still accessible for our guests to hang out in the biergarten before the ceremony. Plus the landscaping and grounds are well taken care of - we took our pre-ceremony photos on site.
PLENTY of free parking the day of, plus close to hotels and the airport for our out of town guests and near the light rail so they could conveniently get Uptown. We found our florist through OMB's recommended vendors too!
We could not have asked for a more perfect place.
We did our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at OMB and loved everything about it-- the atmosphere, food and location were perfect for the vibe we wanted, especially for our out-o...
f-town guests! The team was great to work with leading up to the event and were quick to respond, open to ideas, etc. Would definitely recommend as a great locale for opening your special weekend!

e entire planning process. They helped make menu recommendations and were endlessly patient with us. We had about 30 guests for the rehearsal dinner and 100 guests for the welcome party and their staff made the entire event run flawlessly. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and we got so many compliments on our venue choice. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone else looking for a place to hold a special event. Thank you so much OMB!
We enjoyed the event so much and that was mostly due to the wonderful staff, food, and facility! I really appreciated how willing to serve the staff was, from letting me arrive ear...
ly to set up, to earnestly meeting immediate needs during the event, and helping carry things to the car at the end. The food was all perfect, the beer was great, and I really loved the space. I didn't realize how big the outdoor space would be and how much we would use it, but I was so glad we had it. Billeigh was also wonderful helping me decide on spacing needs, menu, and layout. I was so glad to have her help planning the event.
Great place with an amazing staff, delicious food and beer and the perfect setting to set the tone for a fun wedding weekend
We had a fantastic reception at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery! The venue has been a special place for us as a couple and it was incredibly meaningful to have our reception there too...

Having my ceremony and reception at OMB was THE BEST! From the initial contact with Charlotte to reserve the venue to meeting with Kelly to plan our menu and details I always felt ...
like their #1 priority. We used OMB's catering and got a ton of compliments from our guests. The bartenders and day-of staff were always attentive and quick to act. We couldn't have hoped for a better venue for our special day!
This was everything I was looking for in a wedding location. I had my ceremony and reception on site and it was beautiful. I wanted it simple and elegant. The staff was so hard-wor...
king and friendly. The main areas remain open to the public but I loved that relaxed casual feel. Not to mention it's amazing to walk around in a wedding dress while the entire pub shouts odes of congratulations. They supply plenty of chairs and tables. I also catered through them and the food was delicious, guests were complimenting the food and the venue itself. It's a great location if you're looking for everything in one place: ceremony, reception, and catering. The large room gets flipped from the ceremony to the reception and there's a cocktail room while people wait for the magical flip. I also love that there's a roped off area on the patio for the wedding. All in all, it was amazing.
The venue was beautiful and simple, which is why I picked it to begin with. Throughout the process I felt like the event staff was doing me favors, even though we paid an arm and a...
leg to be there. Not only did the process feel forced, but there were multiple things that they said no to, or hinted that they'd rather not. The food was not great, and they were forced to accommodate for our "rain plan" and charged us a "ceremony fee" which required them to move a few tables so we wouldn't have to be married in the rain. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Luckily we had our family and friends so the day was wonderful, but I didn't enjoy the process or the constant nickle n' diming.
I will say that getting married in a brewery was not my dream as a little girl, but if I was going to do it, then it was going to be glorious.
First let me say that the staff at O...
MB was phenomenal. I worked with Laura and she was super easy to work with, from the first stages of how it was going to flow to the beer she brought me before I walked down the aisle.
Such a great vibe and they understood the low key fashion I wanted to have.
With the subtle décor we had, they made sure it was set up and the event we more than smooth considering it was the first wedding to reception that they hosted.
I am beyond thrilled that we choose to have our wedding and OMB and cannot wait to share the pictures of the beautiful new brewery!
A huge thank you to those guys for working to hard to make it perfect and following through with such a great event!
