The Makeup Loft

Makeup Loft were a joy to work with. Allie was a wonderful coordinator - she answered all my questions and communicated promptly.  My trial was so much fun and I felt like I was truly heard. On my wedding day the 4 stylists - Taylor (MUA), Ryleigh (MUA), Chaney (Hair Stylist), and Mikayla (Hair Stylist) were right on time, set up very quickly, and were ready to go. The kept everyone on schedule and were out the door at the correct time. Logistics aside - everyone looked STUNNING. Like truly the most gorgeous version of themselves. What I love about Makeup Loft is they don't try to transform you; they truly bring out the beauty you already have. There were many selfies taken. The hair was similarly magical. It didn't matter if the girls had the thickest curly hair or the finest straight hair everyone's vision became a reality. I have to shout out my personal stylists who I could not possibly say enough positive things about. Chaney must have special powers because I don't know how she managed to get my hair to look like it did. I have always had fine curly hair, and she somehow got it to look like the pictures below in about an hour. I got so many compliments all night (and yes, it stayed exactly like that all night). And Taylor. Taylor is not only an amazing MUA but she is also an amazing person to have with you on your wedding day. My make-up was perfect. I was glowing and I have never felt more beautiful. She took my trial look and elevated it x1000. The make-up lasted all night through multiple hours of dancing. Taylor also went above and beyond to help with my mom who has dementia. She made sure she looked beautiful and was taken care of all morning. The compassion and care she showed me and her on this day really means and says so much about her, the rest of the team (who were also amazing with her), and the Makeup Loft in general. If you want to look like the best version of yourself, feel like a princess, and be treated like family I cannot recommend Makeup Loft enough!!!

ly put everyone at ease. Wedding mornings can be stressful and emotional, but Taylor helped create an atmosphere that was fun, relaxed, and full of excitement. What I'll never forget is her dedication. My wedding weekend was impacted by a winter storm, and despite the challenging conditions, Taylor drove through the snow to make sure she was there for me and my bridal party. Knowing she was willing to go to those lengths to be there meant so much and speaks volumes about her professionalism and commitment to her clients. Her talent is equally incredible. She took the time to understand what each person wanted and made everyone feel like the most beautiful version of themselves. My makeup was everything I had hoped for—natural, elegant, and timeless. Even more impressively, it lasted through a day full of emotions, happy tears, snowy photos, hugs, dancing, and hours of celebration. Somehow, it still looked amazing at the end of the night. Beyond her skill, Taylor is simply a wonderful person to have by your side on such an important day. She made me feel confident, beautiful, and completely taken care of. I am so grateful to Taylor and The Makeup Loft for helping make my wedding day so special. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to any bride looking for someone who is not only incredibly talented but also genuinely cares about her clients.

ading up to the big day in a timely manner, and both the hairstylist and makeup artist were very kind and approachable. All of my bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done as well, and they all loved it! Pretty good price from what I saw during my wedding planning process.

accommodating (and super responsive to a lot of questions I had lol). Jalyn and Rachel were on time with their arrival to our venue, and kept things flowing between those I requested to have hair/makeup done, and offered touch-ups right up until they had to leave, which I really appreciated. Thank you to Jalyn and Rachel for making my wedding day even more beautiful!

definitely recommend their services.

e was amazing at communicating about expectations, timeline, etc. I wanted my makeup to be really light. I had quite a few notes after my trial, and Veronica graciously adapted to those notes and gave me the perfect light-touch makeup on the wedding day. I felt so beautiful all day.

at the venue at 6 am on the wedding day!). I found the Makeup Loft (and remembered my sister used them for her wedding 10 years ago) and the process was great. My mom joined me for my trial and I was lucky enough to work with Janelle, the owner for my makeup. She is truly an artist! She brought great energy and conversation along with explaining what she was doing and giving instructions on how to maintain the makeup on the big day. I loved hearing about the company and Cosmakery. We had Julia for the hair who was also good. On the wedding day, they were prompt and willing to work with my moody 6-year old niece and changed my mom's hair when she was unsure about it. Thank you!

my hair or makeup done by other businesses in the past as a bridesmaid, I have felt like I didn’t look like myself. Even though they have a lot of artists, my trial was scheduled with the same artists who would be doing my hair and makeup for my wedding day. Jackie, our hair stylist, took a lot of time to look through my inspiration photos and give me advice on what would look best and stay in place for my hair, and I loved what we ended up with after the trial. I ended up changing my mind later and wanted my hair up instead of down. I was able to schedule an additional trial last minute and my hair turned out perfect for my wedding day and stayed in place all day. Jackie was kind, efficient, and made me, my 6 bridesmaids, and my mom and MIL all look beautiful in 4 hours! If I could have, I would have made Taylor, our makeup artist, another bridesmaid in my wedding. The consultation that we had made me feel so much better about having my makeup professionally done for the wedding, fixed a couple things that I didn’t like, and she told me multiple times afterwards to look at the pictures of my trial makeup regularly and if I wasn’t in love with it every time I looked that we should change some things up. On wedding day she showed up with her same bright and warm personality and all of the wedding party immediately fell in love with her. She went so far above and beyond what I would ever expect of a makeup artist just by being there that day and making all of the girls feel beautiful. Not all of my bridesmaids got makeup done but some paid for lashes and the whole bridal party looked amazing. Words can’t do justice to the service we received and I will be forever grateful. We got ready at the makeup loft and the girls there made space for snacks and coffee, we played our own music and sang and danced all morning in the beautiful loft. The girls who did their own makeup were able to use the chairs and mirrors and everyone had tons of space to get ready. It was exactly what we needed for our big wedding party and worked out perfectly. I will forever recommend the makeup loft to anyone I know because of my experience.

ch member of the wedding party was looking for. They were also incredible efficient. We never had to worry about being behind schedule. Each member of the wedding party looked so beautiful and the makeup suited each one so well. I cannot recommend the makeup loft enough to anyone looking for bridal services. A special shoutout to Allie for all of her help in scheduling services, answering all of our questions, and guiding us through the process. Rachel is an incredible hair stylist and Jalyn was a fantastic makeup artist. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

d efficient. Everyone looked, and felt beautiful, and I would recommend this makeup and stylist team to everyone.

eel easy and stress-free. Jackie, our talented hair stylist, was exceptional. I could tell right away she had a lot of experience and was very professional. She did my hair trial with such care and precision, truly bringing my vision to life. On the wedding day, Jackie styled all 7 members of our bridal party quickly and flawlessly, all while keeping the atmosphere calm and joyful. Everyone’s hair looked stunning and held up perfectly throughout the day. We’re so grateful to Jackie and The Makeup Loft — they were an important part of making our day so special. We highly recommend working with them!

look like myself on my wedding day…it was the opposite. I felt like the most beautiful version of myself.

et me, the bridal party and mother-in-law at the hotel. And they nailed it again! The makeup was perfect for everyone with what they wanted. And the hairstyle they all picked, all turned out beautifully. And of course, they crushed mine again and I felt absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend both!

, the trial, and my wedding! Elise did a stunning job on my hair! I requested a smooth low bun with curled ‘bangs’ framing my face and I loved what she created! The additional ladies that came to help the day of did a great job as well! Allie was helpful and responsive to all of my questions! Thank you all for helping make my day perfect!

during my trial and even made changes based on my requests but also things she realized could be better, which I so appreciated because she is the expert. I loved my makeup on the day of and it lasted all day long (from 8am to midnight- impressive!). Also, special shoutout to Allie for always making sure communication is clear- makes the whole process that much better especially when planning a wedding. Highly recommend the makeup loft for anyone looking for a hair/makeup vendor in Michigan!

trials to get the look that I was envisioning, and my wedding day look was literally picture perfect. I had sort of a difficult-to-achieve hairstyle and they absolutely killed it. Same with my makeup, and all my bridesmaids looks as well. I do not get my makeup done often and when I do, I usually don't love it but I could not find a single thing to improve when they were finished. Seriously such a great team of girls and so talented. They were timely on the day of, accommodating, friendly, positive, etc etc etc.

and makeup artists made recommendations on what I could do to make sure my hair and skin looked its best for my wedding day. The don't pressure you to buy anything and they make you feel welcomed and comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. I am so thankful for Taylor and Ashley, they made my entire bridal party and I look fantastic the day of my wedding. I will be back for formal events in the future!!
