The Machine Shop

ision. Working with Lauren was awesome - it felt like I was working with a friend and she went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. Our day went off without a hitch thanks to the staff, security, and bartenders. We could not recommend Machine Shop enough for your wedding or event!

here was a balance of choice between how we wanted to stage things and suggestions on what may work the best. The wine tasting to help select the bar menu was so fun! And on the day of, everything went seamlessly. David was there to occasionally check in, but there was a sense of calm since everything had already been established. Can't recommend this venue enough!

g venues, we were both captivated by the endless possibilities the space offered for our own personalized wedding that could be uniquely ours. Its industrial & chic look created such a cool ambiance & its versatility allowed us to customize so many different aspects of our wedding. The venue also runs the bar during the big day. At first, we were both worried about long drink lines at our wedding due to our large guest list. The event staff, along with the venue’s efficient layout, made it very easy for all our guests to get served promptly. We didn’t see any long bar lines with a guest count of almost 200 people. Our event manager, Lauren, was great and went the extra mile to make sure our wedding day was truly special. She worked with us to create signature & custom drinks that hadn’t been done before at the venue & made sure we were always satisfied before moving forward. She was a true professional with great attention to detail. She was an expert with so many of our vendors & gave thoughtful suggestions on how to set up the venue for everything we wanted. On the wedding day, the venue & team led by Lauren executed everything seamlessly which helped us have a perfect day. We didn’t have to worry about anything! Now, let’s offer one last example to detail a true testament to Lauren’s dedication to her job and problem-solving skills on the fly. Just one week before our wedding, the groom suffered an unexpected Achilles tear. We were devastated and worried that our plans would be disrupted. Lauren worked with both us & our wedding coordinator Denae Brennan to adjust everything schedule & logistics wise at the last minute. The Machine Shop really sets itself apart by providing both its beauty & its personalized and great service. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that has elegance, versatility, and exceptional service, The Machine Shop is the PERFECT place to spend arguably the best day of your life! Our wedding day was truly magical in large part to both the venue & the staff.

to have a super simply decorated yet extremely elegant wedding. The staff at the Machine Shop was absolutely great to work with. They were timely in their communications and actually listened to us about what we wanted and did everything they could to accommodate our wedding wishes. They were very upfront and transparent regarding the venue rules and pricing, which allowed us to build trust with the staff. We were able to tour the venue after we booked with our family and then visit a few times after that during the planning process. They have an easy online portal that made it super simple to keep track of files, contracts, payments, etc. The whole wedding process with the Machine Shop was smooth and easy, which made our lives so much easier! We would recommend the Machine Shop for any special event or wedding every time! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!

a large open space that offers flexibility. The staff were professional and accommodating.

tour with Sheridan, we knew there was no other venue for us. Not only is the space is absolutely stunning x1000, but they are so professional and sweet, and extremely personable. Every time I had a question I never felt like I was bothering them but got enthusiastic responses. You can tell this team loves the space and what they do! We worked with Lauren as event manager and she was a dream. She was great with email communication and honestly I felt like I was working with a friend. Our day went as smooth as possible and I am so truly thankful for everything Machine Shop did for us. I can’t recommend this fantastic venue enough! Thank you all with all of our hearts!!

gned and disseminated, specialty cocktails and pre-ceremony bubbly rolled out -- all with a smile on his face and an easy, charming personality. David answered a mountain of emails quickly and efficiently and always had a solution to every problem. Thank you, David! You are amazing!

were incredibly easy and helpful to work with, the space is stunningly beautiful, and feels spacious but not cavernous -perfect for weddings of every size. Everything from the getting-ready spaces to the bathrooms to the bar/lounge areas is perfection, and the location is wonderful - many of our out of town guests stayed just across the river in downtown, and it's close by to lots of classic Minneapolis sights to allow for some great photo opps. Highly recommend!

he day went perfectly. I cannot recommend this venue enough. It had more than enough space for our ~150 guests. Also, it is gorgeous and filled with light!

ed streamline our decision-making process where needed and the day ran like clockwork - bar staff, audio/visual, and everything in between.

reschedule multiple times due to the pandemic. The initial pricing, bar estimates, and available vendors were very clear, so we knew exactly what was expected. We had the best night, and the entire event team executed our vision flawlessly. Also, the space is gorgeous! 10/10 would recommend!

d accommodated all our requests for COVID precautions and extra activities. We feel lucky to have had our wedding here.

as easy as possible and were incredibly receptive, flexible, and accommodating for our super inconsistent resident schedules. They spelled things out for us and made our tasks straightforward and easy to accomplish. We anticipated much more work when it came to booking a venue. In regards to the week prior and the day of, David and the rest of the Machine Shop staff was top-notch. All-in-all, David is the man. He went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly and worked well with the vendors to move things along seamlessly. It is obvious he has done this a time or two, and most of the tips he provided we ended up using and are super that glad that we did. All in all, we cannot say enough good things about our experience with the Machine Shop. They truly went above and beyond for us to make our wedding day magical.

half the walls for a nice view while you’re getting ready.

a year to November 2021. Keeping this venue was my number one priority and I ensured all other vendors could provide their services on the new date that worked for the Machine Shop. The space is stunning. You can go really simple and let the industrial architect speak for itself or you can dress it up with floral and some fun lighting installations. Either way you do it, it will be a stunning wedding. I toured so many wedding venues and this one blows all other venues out of the park. The staff is extremely helpful and professional and will ensure you have a seamless day. There is really nothing to worry about and you will be in good hands. The overall experience is on the spendy side, so if you have a budget that you need to stick to, I would suggest adjusting other vendors, because you will be so happy with the overall Machine Shop experience. Thanks Lauren, Sara, Sheridan and team for all the hard work you did to make our day amazing!

vendors we hired. She answered my millions of questions and always helped beyond my expectation. We then worked with Sara later on in the process as our event manager. She was so helpful and rolled with the punches and the last minute tweaks right up to the end. There is no question the space is beautiful. The amazing staff made it so much more perfect!

t industrial-style background while having all of the necessary modern accommodations and luxuries. It is also in a perfect location for a wedding, within the confines of Minneapolis but in an area near the river where there is ample space and it is not too crowded. We were also really happy that all of our vendors had previously done weddings at the Machine Shop, and it made it much easier to describe what we wanted and for them to tell us how it could be accomplished at the venue. We received many, many compliments from our guests regarding how amazing the venue and location were for a wedding. I also want to highlight how amazing the Machine Shop staff were at helping us navigate our wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our initial wedding date was May 2020, but once COVID-19 worsened we reached out to the Machine Shop staff to try and reschedule. They were very accommodating and helped us move the date to that September. The staff were also very helpful in explaining the venue rules and regulations for holding a wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we still felt like we were able to have our dream wedding. We highly, highly recommend the Machine Shop as a wedding venue, it was worth every penny.

d we did! Sarah, our event manager at Machine Shop, was with us from the start through the day-of wedding festivities. She is meticulous with details, professional with communication and just a great person to have by your side during planning. My now husband and I recommend Machine Shop - it's stunning, super functional and well, we waited a while to get a date we wanted...so it's definitely worth the wait. I promise!

nues, and liked that the Machine Shop was upfront in pricing & included most things other venues didn't (tables, chairs, security, sound system). I also liked having local options for the bar. I would definitely recommend to any brides.

y detail-oriented person, I really appreciated all the behind the scenes preparation and thought-out logistics to make our day a success. Our day of venue manager shifted last minute but Jessica handled the transition like a pro - no detail was lost in the shuffle. She even had a space heater in the entry way for us while we were taking breaks during our photos on the frigid January day. The bartenders and staff purposefully checked in with both Sean and myself throughout the night and were very kind and professional. With having a winter wedding, the venue was extremely important to me in order to have everything in one place. Room flips were done effortlessly and my now husband and I never had to worry about a thing. I highly recommend the Machine Shop and it was worth every penny!

autiful venue and kind staff. Working with David made the wedding planning process a breeze as well--flexible and accommodating and quick to respond to emails, no matter how dumb my questions seemed. He made sure the timeline and layouts were exactly what we wanted, and the day-of was as seamless as I'd hoped for. We'd highly recommend Machine Shop for its beauty and wonderful staff!

spond, organized, and most importantly, fun to work with! The Machine Shop was gorgeous and elegant on the day of our wedding. David did an amazing job organizing all of our vendors and ensuring that the venue was set up exactly as we had hoped. If there were more than 5 stars to give to David and the staff at Machine Shop, we would absolutely give more. Thank you so much for making the wedding day of our dreams become a reality! Kelly and Tom

s, wood walls, and metal accents really bring that “industrial” vibe to life. The movable truss also allows you so many décor options and possibilities with all of the vertical space Machine Shop offers. The space is grand and breathtaking.  I worked with Sheridan throughout the wedding planning process – she was great to work with! Always quick to respond with a lot of great information. She never made me feel like I was bothering her, despite my barrage of questions. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Machine Shop and highly recommend this venue!

f room to move around during both cocktail hour and dinner/dancing but at the same time there was no wasted space (we had around 200 guests). The bartenders were amazing; there was almost no waiting in line for a drink and they were very courteous to our guests. Working with David for our day was so great - he was accommodating and went above and beyond. He met with us multiple times leading up to the wedding to design the layout, talk through the timeline and worked with us to make sure the bar stayed within our budget, while still having great options for our guests. I cannot say enough nice things about the venue and the people that work there. I would highly recommend booking your wedding here!

ny and reception. The Machine Shop is spacious for cocktail hour upstairs and to accommodate a large guest size for a ceremony and reception on the main floor. We absolutely recommend for any couple who enjoys an industrial/modern look and quality service!

ing you get and your guests will have are memories you'll have forever. I LOVE IT HERE.

ar menu for our wedding goals. We hosted the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Machine Shop. The room flip was very quick and efficient. Highly recommend venue.

t the entire process and was prompt in replying to my many emails and requests to see the space. The Machine Shop will hold a special place in our hearts and we will continue to recommend it to all of our family & friends!

. The venue is a modern industrial scene , but honestly you make it what you want. We kept it simple, but with the right vendors you can change the whole place into your dream wedding. Can’t do anything but rave about this place!!

The dark floor, with white interior paint on the columns and exposed piping was just stunning, every bride to be at the party was jealous of this space! It seemed that this space didnt need a lot of work to make it beautiful (unlike others reviewed such as Nicollet Island, which compared to this seems very outdated...) The catered outside venue food was exceptional and event staff extremely helpful. Would recommend to ANYONE looking!!!

creative. He helped us create and execute an incredible event and suggested so many things we wouldn't have even thought of!

professional and attentive to our needs. He helped us make our day perfect. The venue itself is simply beautiful. You really don't need to do much to the space to "decorate" because the bones itself are just so wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing our special day with us!!

ve and beyond - they are dedicated and help ensure that every little detail is accounted for. To top it all off, they love cats almost as much as I do.

ld have ever asked for. The Machine Shop team members are so passionate and want to help you throughout the whole wedding process. Our day was so magical and it was all thanks to the team behind the Machine Shop. All of our guests LOVED the venue because of the uniqueness and the historic bones that is has. We had so many great vendors come together on our big day and we cannot thank Machine Shop enough. It isn't too often that you can actually go back and visit your venue after the wedding but we are so thrilled that Machine Shop has their cocktail lounge area open every Monday called The Break Room. This happy couple will be back often to visit the beautiful space and catch up with the awesome staff! :) Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our big day so special! -Chloe & Carter Sackett

een super stress free and enjoyable so far. Not to mention, the space is flawless. Can't wait!
