She was always available for communication, and she talked everything out with us thoroughly and rolled with all of our requests. The venue itself is jaw-droppingly beautiful with fantastic mountain and valley views. There’s a ceremony site outside with an arbor and a tent covering in case of rain that overlooks the golf course. It was totally stunning and great for pictures. We rented out the downstairs pub and patio for the cocktail hour, and our guests enjoyed the fire pits, s’mores bar, drinks, and passed appetizers while we were taking pictures. The reception hall upstairs was a dream. It’s got the huge, central stone fireplace on one end and on the opposite wall near the entrance, a very chic bar. It has huge windows all around looking out on all the incredible views. It’s got a porch off the back behind the fireplace that overlooks the valley–a great quiet place to escape and cool down away from the music and dancing. The room has a vaulted ceiling with beautiful exposed beams and chandeliers. It was exactly what we were hoping to find with an upscale lodge sort of vibe, and it is surprisingly affordable for all that you get! They do catering in-house, and the chef is extremely skilled. The food is out of this world. Literally everything was delicious and the presentation was so elegant. We had two guests with dietary restrictions, so we let the venue know ahead of time, and we picked out some alternative meals for them. When dinner was served, those two guests simply told the staff they had a meal accommodation and the staff brought them their custom-made plate. They also provide bar packages, and the selection they provided was wonderful and high-quality. With the package we got, we got to come up with two custom “His and Hers” cocktails. I did an autumn twist on a Moscow Mule, and they actually served them in the little copper mule mugs with garnishes and everything! My guests couldn’t stop talking about them. Just a few other various things to note: this venue is located in a gated community, and the drive up to the venue can get a little steep. Liz made sure that the gatehouse was manned during the comings and goings though, so there wasn’t much issue with getting people in or out. Another things is that you can have a guest count up to 125, which was our original plan, but we ended up only having 100, which was probably for the best. The reception hall was pretty full with the 100, so any more than that might be a little tight. They do only host one event per weekend, which is great because it meant we got access to the venue on Friday morning to start setting up and decorating for the rehearsal that night and the main event on Saturday. There is a complimentary “get ready” room on site downstairs next to the pub which was very helpful. They do have a projection screen in the main event room, so we were able to play a photo slide-show. In short, I highly recommend High Vista for your wedding. This venue’s location, space, and staff are all amazing. We had our perfect dream wedding here, so thank you High Vista Events for making it happen!

Our 70-person party fit comfortably into the space, and we loved that it was a one-stop shop - they provide catering, bartending, and rentals so it was SO easy to plan. Working with Liz to plan our reception was awesome – we really appreciated that she encouraged us in our taco bar dinner dreams, and also gracefully handled a behind-the-scenes timeline change. So grateful for Liz and the amazing staff at The Laurel Room!
