Our experience with Ursula and Penthouse Events was unforgettable!
My wife and I got married in September at The Lantern room, and everything about the process was amazing from t...
he start. Ursula was so responsive and professional right from the start, and helped us make our wedding a beautiful reality. She has curated a gorgeous space in Ohio City with a breathtaking view of down town.
She has so much experience with hosting weddings and events and it shows! You can tell that every detail has been well considered with her thoughtful experience, resulting in beautiful table displays. She has top notch staff and her collaboration with Zaytoon Lebanese Kitchen for dinner is undeniably the best wedding food we've had (even if we are a bit biased). She worked to make our vision a reality from the very start; we wanted to bring mezcal sourced from Mexico for welcome shots and the answer was an emphatic "Yes!"
The venue itself is gorgeous. An intimate indoor space with ceiling height glass windows all around and giant greenery, set above Ohio City with a great view of the downtown skyline. There is a wrap around terrace where all the real fun happens, and our September wedding made full use of the coming crisp fall air. The outside terrace was spacious and perfect for our wedding of ~75 guests, and dinner felt cozy and not all all cramped in the indoor space. Also included is a 2 room suite just downstairs from the venue which the bridal party got ready in, and we all took a good break in right before the wedding. Such great memories in that little apartment with all of our friends and family!
Ursula doubles as the day of coordinator for the venue, and is skilled with making menus, place cards, and many other paper goods! She seamlessly coordinated with all of our vendors, most of whom she has a prior working relationship with, and the wedding ran right on schedule! We were able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest with minimal distractions, for which we are so infinitely thankful! When things went wrong, Ursula always had an answer; when my wife's dress ripped right before walking down the aisle, she was there with needle and thread.
We are so incredibly happy that we had our wedding at The Lantern Room! We would recommend it to anyone who wants a city wedding in Cleveland, without all of the hassle of downtown!
We truly could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day! From start to finish, everything was absolutely incredible, and so much of that was thanks to Ursula, our wedding plan...
ner. She was absolutely amazing and made sure every single one of our needs was taken care of. I genuinely don’t know how I could have done it without her!
The food was absolutely incredible, and our guests could not stop raving about both the venue and the food. We had multiple guests tell us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, which is something we will never forget!
Everything about our day was perfect, and I truly wouldn’t have changed a single thing. We felt so taken care of, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful to Ursula and the entire venue team for helping make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be. We couldn’t recommend this venue more! ❤️
I can’t say enough good things about The Lantern Room and Ursula and team.
First off, The Lantern Room is a beautiful space. The package comes with everything you need to bring y...
our big day to life. They have a fabulous caterer (his Mac and cheese and short rib were delicious!), the bar staff was friendly and fast, they have a valet service included, there is a beautiful getting ready suite that is a full apartment, and the team does full set-up and tear-down of your space making it all incredibly easy on the couple. All linens and most decor can be included to seamlessly bring your vision to life. The skyline view and outdoor space is great for the ceremony and dance floor, and dining indoors was perfect for us.
The real magic of The Lantern Room is Ursula, the owner of Penthouse Events CLE. She embodies the term “above and beyond.” From initial email correspondence, to touring the venue, to the full planning process and day of, Ursula was there every step of the way and made sure our wedding day was perfect. She is so kind, responsive, organized and adds so many personal touches. Ursula printed all of our signage herself, and she home made the strawberry syrup and grew the mint in her own garden for our signature cocktails. She was super hands on and I couldn’t have asked for a nicer and easier coordinator to work with.
We can’t thank Penthouse Events CLE, Ursula and her entire team enough for the perfect wedding they threw us. Ursula made the entire process, from start to finish, extremely easy a...
nd stress free (which is critical when you’re planning a wedding!) She took our (very minimal) ideas and ran with them, picking decor, color schemes, and signage our friends and family loved. From Penthouse CLE providing an awesome DJ to a fantastic caterer, all we needed to focus on leading up to the wedding and the night of was having fun. Ursula was also extremely responsive throughout the planning process and coordinated with our vendors to truly create a stress free, beautiful evening - we can’t recommend Penthouse Events CLE enough!

r us, ensuring our day was everything we wanted it to be. She was punctual, quick to respond, organized, and on top of everything! She made wedding planning so much easier and way less stressful. I would highly recommend working with this team! Such a pleasure!
The Lantern Room team and venue will blow away your expectations and impress every guest! Locals who attended our wedding couldn't believe they didn't know about this 'hidden gem' ...
of a venue. And out of town guests are still talking about how impressed they were with Cleveland thanks to the TLR team! I grew up in Cleveland and wanted a venue with views of the city and/or lake, character but that could transform to fit my aesthetic, and a space that would allow people to relax and chat OR party and dance. The Lantern Room checked all the boxes.
Ursula is next level - creative, organized, and passionate. As soon as we met I knew working with her to plan my hometown wedding from 2,000 miles away was the only way to do it. Leading up to the big day my mantra was "In Ursula we trust" - and she still exceeded my expectations! Julio is an absolute pro who is always beaming with pride over their team and events, it's easy to see why! Chef David is incredible - he will have your guests talking about the food at your wedding for years to come. EVERY team member was professional, friendly, and efficient.
Every detail at our wedding was thoughtfully executed by this team. Personal touches were everywhere with decor that I brought, utilized perfectly & details that Ursula incorporated beautifully because she understood our vision for the day.
You can trust The Lantern Room team as hosts for your best day ever - my husband and I are so grateful to them for making our dream wedding a reality. Five Stars is not enough!!

nized. They made coordinating over 110 guests and multiple vendors feel effortless, which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our big day. The venue itself was stunning, and the rooftop view was absolutely unforgettable. It was genuinely the best day of my life.

d. Not only was their food menu options incredibly tasty (crab cake, mushroom crostini, arancini, and pork belly bites), they gave us the ability to personalize our Bride and Groom menu to what was so important for us to have. Our guests raved about the dinner entree (beef short ribs, airline chicken, and vegetarian curry pot pie) and we got so many compliments of the food plated service and decore all of which was provided directly and a part of their package that PENTHOUSE CLE offers.
Our tables setting colors, along with all the venue decorations came out fantastic, letting Ursula and Julio make the decisions on how to place and decorate yielded the most beautiful results that we could never have imagined we would have been able to come up with by ourselves. Having Ursula and Julio there to guide and manage not only our table setting, decoration, menu service, but also be our own personal wedding coordinator to come up with the timelines, print all stationary and signage, manage all of our vendors, and keep track of everything throughout the day until we were done saved us so much, and allowed us to enjoy our day without any worries.
The included bridal suite that came with the venue allowed us the personal moments together away from our family and friends to make the wedding so memorable to us. The suite was beautiful and amazing to have for us to use for the day.
Thank you so much PENTHOUSE CLE - Ursula and Julio, we will always remember how incredible you made out special day.

The Lantern Room was stunning. Would recommend them a thousand times over! From the food to the decor, Ursula absolutely nailed it! We were constanly getting compliments from our guests. Don't hestitate to book them!

t the event complimenting how beautiful everything looked and how amazing staff was. They took my simple decor idea and made it into something spectacular! They made everything so easy on this day which could have been very stressful. There was rain throughout my event so we did not use the patio, but It looked beautiful. I cannot recommend this company enough!!
I recently had my 30-year high school reunion at The Lantern Room, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best venues in Cleveland! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere wa...
s vibrant and welcoming. The space is beautifully designed with a ton of natural light, blending modern elegance with a cozy charm.
The highlight, without a doubt, is the huge deck that overlooks the stunning Cleveland skyline. Watching the sunset while enjoying the festivities was simply breathtaking! It’s the perfect backdrop for photos and creates an unforgettable experience. So many classmates attending commented on what a cool space it was.
Penthouse Events Cle planned the entire night and they went above and beyond to make it special. Ursula, Julio and the rest of staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Whether you’re planning a wedding, reunion, or any special event, The Lantern Room is a fantastic choice. I can't recommend it enough and can't wait to plan something else.
The only thing you need to know is that no other venue or wedding coordinator will ever compare to Ursula and Julio. Do yourself the biggest favor and look no further than these tw...
o and any of their incredible venues. My husband and I got married at the lantern room and from the first time meeting them to the very last song of our wedding day, they were attentive and focused on making the process the easiest, most enjoyable, least stressful it could be. I kid you not, Ursula just asked us to send her some Pinterest pictures of our vision and she brought them to real life. I hardly did a thing!! How rare is that?!
Not only that but she was incredibly responsive the entire planning process to any email questions that came up. But it didn’t stop there, she put together all of our centerpieces, seating chart, and coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure everyone got where they were supposed to be. On the actual day of, if you didn’t know you would have thought Ursula and Julio were our aunt and uncle. From making sure we had the drinks we wanted in hand to snapping special dance floor moments and even personally scooping the ice cream for guests- they were everywhere, doing everything all with a smile. I couldn’t help but think, is it possible they are actually having as much fun as us?
They clearly love what they do and they set the bar exceptionally high. My friends were all shocked to hear that I didn’t have to do all of the minuscule work of wedding planning like tablecloth and napkin colors and that I had a point person who not only willingly did all of that but also blew it out of the water. I cannot reiterate enough that Julio and Ursula are the only people you need to consider for your special event. You can put all of your trust in them and just actually enjoy the unique process of planing your special day. I want to get married all over again just purely so I can work with them again. I’m not kidding.
