We are Megan + Barrett, destination wedding photographers and videographers based in Wilmington, North Carolina. We specialize in documenting fun loving couples who value creativity and timeless imagery. Our style would be described as fun, vibrant, and storytelling. Every wedding day and couples session is unique. One of the things we strive for most as photographers, is to capture the wedding day so that our couple can re-live those moments over and over again. We always have the best time with our couples and offer a very professional, but relaxed atmosphere.
Our home is by the beach and WE LOVE traveling to new places. We get the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing couples and some have even turned into great friends. We enjoy telling love stories with our photographs + videos and we would be thrilled to tell yours.

Megan and Barrett and truly one of a kind! Their portfolio speaks for itself on why you should hire them but they truly are amazing. They are so fun, flexible, and professional. On...
our big day they truly took the best care of us, always checking in and helping us enjoy our day while capturing the pure joy of us and our guests. Their photos captured everything I wanted captured and allowed for the personality of my husband and I to truly come through! They made our day OURS and not just another wedding. Their communication about photos after the wedding was also phenomenal and the sneak peaks were amazing! I truly cannot recommend The Joyner Company enough for your special day, they are truly one of a kind. So much so that our friends in other states want to fly them out for their own weddings!
Megan was wonderful to work with. She was very communicative during the entire process leading up the wedding and on the day of the wedding. She arrived on time at the venue and to...
ok some amazing photos. She gave great direction while taking the photos and we the turnaround time to receive the photos was incredibly fast. I can't say enough great things about the entire experience with The Joyner Company. Our pictures are magical.
The Joyner’s are amazing to work with. Their styles is airy and natural. They take beautiful photos and deliver their product on time.
I can't recommend Megan, Barrett and Ian enough. They did our engagement photos, our family photos and our wedding photos! The photos are all incredible, like drool-worthy. They a...
re extremely talented but also super down to earth people. Barrett made us feel comfortable during what would normally be an awkward situation @ our engagement session. Megan fought insane wind for our family photos and made it work. Our wedding day was so hectic (which i'm sure is normal?) and they didn't blink - just did their thing and had fun with it. They are wonderful at coaching if the shot looks weird, which I absolutely appreciate. And, they love craft beer! If we lived closer to them I would try to be friends!!
Have you ever just clicked with someone.. or a couple? Well that's exactly what happened when my husband and I met Megan and Barrett for the first time. Planning a wedding in the m...
iddle of a pandemic had some stressful times but one thing I NEVER HAD TO WORRY ABOUT was The Joyner Company. From day one, Megan and Barrett were professional but personal - and genuine. One conversation with them over FaceTime and I knew they were perfect for our wedding. Weddings are intimate- no matter how big or how small. I felt safe with both of them - I knew they saw our vision but I also trusted ( and very much welcomed) their creativity for shots. Being able to connect with your photographers on a personal and intimate level is huge. Game changing. The excitement of the day is shared by them. We weren't just a job. AND THE PHOTOS- Perfection! Not only did we have sunset photos on the beach... but we also had an amazing super moon within minutes. Spectacular.
They were also very accommodating with last minute RUSH on some photos for an online article, along with a magazine deadline. Something they did not have to do but they did :) We also received our wedding album on time and we were thrilled with the results. Perfection.
THANK YOU !! - The Sherman's xoxo

ng with them and made sure to capture every detail. They also made us feel comfortable during our sessions, because we were worried about looking awkward! They have given us such amazing quality memories to look back on for years to come. They were super responsive and were able to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend using The Joyner Company for any of your photography or videography needs!
After having an amazing experience with Megan and Barrett during our Engagement shoot in Joshua tree last year, we knew right away we wanted them to shoot our wedding. I am SO GLAD...
we made that decision (even though it wasn’t hard at all)! Our wedding photos and video came out more perfect than we could have ever imagined! They captured every single moment we wanted them to, plus some! They are hands down the best in the business. They will make you feel comfortable and guide you through each shot. Your wedding day goes by faster than you can ever imagine so it’s extremely important to have the photos and video so you can relive that day whenever you want to. Every time I watch our wedding video I am taken back to that day and it always brings happy tears down my face! Highly, highly recommend this couple!! 👏👏
We cannot say enough amazing things about The Joyner Co! We had originally hired them to photograph our destination wedding in Jamaica, but due to covid we had to change our plans ...
to an elopement in Colorado. The Joyner’s were AMAZING with our change of plans, always were responsive and helpful and not to mention just a great support system for us during the difficult transition during Covid. Their business protocols are amazing but their Photography...hands down, we were floored. The most AMAZING photos to capture our most special day. They researched the best areas to take us personally, thought of the best angles, shots and ideas to make our pictures unique but spent so much time getting to know us that it felt like they truly curated our shoot based off of who we are as a couple. Not only are they beautiful photographs but priceless memories of having them taken with the Joyner’s. The Joyner’s we now consider great friends and highly recommend their work! Our only regret is we didn’t do a wedding video and have seen their videography work and it looks stunning! You cannot go wrong with Megan and Barrett for your big day!!!
The Joyner Co couldn’t be any more perfect! They make you feel so beautiful & natural while their snapping all the perfect photos! They are professional without being square, their...
great personalities show through the quality of their work. I searched and talked with many many photographers before I got to them & after meeting with Megan, I knew she was a keeper.

dding, my husband and I knew we wanted the Joyner Company to photograph our special day. From our engagement session to my bridals and our intimate ceremony, Megan and Barrett went above and beyond to create images that we will one day show our children and grandchildren. Being a COVID bride, Megan and Barrett were there along for the ride and were there to support us through every bump along the way. It was so hard to choose favorites because they were all outstanding. We get so many compliments on our photos! We cannot thank Megan and Barrett enough for their beautiful work.
Megan and Barrett were fantastic! They were a joy to work with, and the pictures were fabulous. We did an engagement session before the wedding, and they did a great job helping ...
us feel comfortable and with posing. Before the wedding, they were super helpful, not only with photography related questions, but with other recommendations also. We discussed expectations before the wedding, and they perfectly captured everything that was important to us. I can't recommend them enough!

iends. Megan and Barrett instantly made us feel comfortable and we didn’t have to stand and pose. They had us moving around and playing together. We both got in the car afterwards and said we would do that every weekend.
The best part is how our photos came out. They captured us as a couple and they are beautiful. Megan and Barrett know what they are doing. I have 100% confidence in them to capture our wedding day. I can’t wait to see how beautiful those pictures our.

eir Instagram and website pictures, we completely fell in love with the natural style of photography and ability to capture the beauty in a moment. On the day of our wedding, they showed up right on time and got right to work! Its hard to put in to words how blown away we were by their work on our day. There were so many incredible and special moments that they managed to capture so perfectly, and so naturally, which is just what we were looking for. They were able to direct the group photos without being intrusive or overbearing and throughout the day they blended into the scene perfectly. They used every lighting opportunity they could find to capture a range of photos, and was constantly on the look out to use the scenery and grounds of the venue to the fullest. Megan and Barrett’s passion and enthusiasm to capture every moment show all throughout, and they absolutely blew us away with their talent! We couldn’t have wished for anything more and we would recommend The Joyner company times over! Thank you guys! Forever grateful! Xox

rtant (Thanks guys!!) Plus the Joyner Company was amazing to work with - super fun and light and kept our day stress free, but still made sure to capture every important moment. We will be using them again in the future for sure! If you go with the Joyner company you won’t regret it.

sband Barrett, my partner and I were immediately at ease. I knew we would be difficult clients because my fiance and I are a goofy and awkward couple, but she was so patient and forgiving and when we got our photos back I was so surprised she was able to make us look THAT good! I believe I said to her "we aren't models, we aren't expecting miracles", but in the end, she produced a miracle! Megan and Barrett are funny, professional, patient, and the final product is top notch! Thanks for the amazing evening and beautiful memories!

ring stunning candid moments and gave amazing direction to help capture our intimate portraits. Megan and Barrett had a way of putting us and our guests at ease throughout the day. We didn’t have a day of coordinator and with our wedding being out of town there were things that we weren’t prepared for and they were always there to help. They went above and beyond and if you didn’t know better you would have thought Megan was one of my longtime friends, helping me bustle my dress and even going to get me another cocktail. Whether you’re from the Wilmington area or coming from out of town, I would highly recommend them. Not only were they a big part of our day but now they will be part of our lives forever. Our only regret from an entire year of planning our wedding was not hiring Barrett as our videographer. If we could go back and do it again that would be the only thing we would have done differently.
Megan was so wonderful to work with! We had our engagement photos shot by her and could not be happier with the final product! I contacted her and asked if we could shoot within 5 ...
days and she fit us in which was amazing! The. Since it snowed that day she worked with us on rescheduling immediately. Since it was so cold that day she even drove us from each location downtown in her car which was a lifesaver considering I was in a short dress. The photos are stunning and I had them in 5 days!!! Best experience ever!

worth it! Megan was one of my favorite vendors! She made everything simple and required no direction! She knew exactly what I wanted!
