I’m a proud mom of two amazing kids and have been happily married for over 25 years. I started this business back in September of 2000 because I’ve always loved helping people feel confident and beautiful in what they wear—at prices that don’t break the bank.
When I first got married, my husband and I decided that I would leave my full-time job in the medical field to stay home and raise our children. Even then, I was already helping friends, family, and neighbors with alterations. At the time, we lived in a townhouse, so I mostly worked on clothing and smaller formal items since there wasn’t space for wedding gowns.
What truly inspired me to grow my business into bridal work was my own wedding dress experience. I had challenges with a well-known shop that left me so frustrated, I ended up fixing my own gown at home. That moment sparked my passion for helping brides actually enjoy the alteration process instead of stressing through it.
That’s why I created my Initial Bridal Consultation—so every bride gets personalized attention, a clear plan for fittings, and full transparency about the process. My motto is simple: “Don’t Stress Over the Dress.” Together, we’ll map out the steps your gown will go through, set a fitting schedule, and even have a little fun along the way.

I took it to Joy and she was able to tailor the dress in a way that made me feel comfortable and beautiful in it. Joy is easy and fun to work with, will explain how she will work with your dress and will be fully transparent with what it will take to make the changes needed to create your dream dress. She’s even tailored my sister’s wedding dress and my mom’s MOB dresses for both of our weddings. I highly recommend taking your dress to her - she does beautiful work.
