The Invitorium

d with The Invitorium on our wedding invitations, and we should have seen the red flags then. The process was more difficult and time-consuming than expected, and there were frustrations along the way as well as unnecessary personal commentary, but ultimately we were happy enough with the finished invitations that we chose to give the business additional work for day-of items. Unfortunately, that decision led to an interaction unlike anything experienced with any other wedding vendor. During this process, what should have been an ordinary discussion about the project escalated dramatically. Rather than simply addressing questions and concerns about the project, the responses became increasingly condescending and personal, completely inappropriate for a professional relationship. The communication went far beyond disagreement over a design or normal client/vendor friction and became so hostile that continuing the project was no longer comfortable. We ultimately asked to end the relationship and requested a refund for the items that had not yet been produced. However, the refund was declined, with the claim that digital work completed for the project justified charging us for physical items that had not been produced. By that point, the concern was no longer whether the product could be completed. Continuing to work with someone who had communicated this way was no longer an acceptable option. What makes this particularly disappointing is that we had every intention of being repeat customers. Despite the difficulties during the invitation process, we liked the finished product. We chose to return and spend additional money with this business. There was absolutely no reason for the relationship to deteriorate as it did. Wedding planning involves enough stress without having to worry about being spoken down to or personally attacked by a vendor you are paying. Clients should be able to ask questions, express concerns, disagree, or even decide to discontinue a project without the conversation becoming personal. We have worked with many vendors throughout this wedding and understand that misunderstandings happen and personalities do not always mesh. Vendors do not need to agree with their clients about everything, nor is perfection expected. Basic professionalism and respectful communication, however, should be. That standard was not met here. To be fair about the product itself: our finished invitations are very pretty. This rating is not because we disliked the stationery. It is because the client experience and communication became unacceptable. In fact, the quality of the finished invitations is precisely why we came back for another project in the first place. But beautiful work does not outweigh how a business treats its clients when there is a disagreement or problem. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend The Invitorium to other couples. No stationery, regardless of how pretty it may be, is worth the vitriol and condescension experienced.

nd easy to work with. I highly recommend hiring The Invitorium for any paper needs!

ly talented & very easy to work with. We used her for all stationary - save the dates, invitation suite, menus, place card holders, gift bag itineraries… everything. And it was all equally gorgeous. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars is because there was a minor error that caused us a ton of effort and inconvenience. Originally our venue said we did not need guests to preselect dinner options so our original mock-up RSVP cards did not include a food selection. A few days before they were to be printed our venue let us know we did actually need a food selection from our guests. We let Lisa know of the change and she assured us she printed the invitations to include food selection. Well, she accidentally printed and shipped the original version. This was a big issue as now we had to have our planner, and us contact each guest (over 200 people) and ask them what they wanted to eat. This was a high-end event and it frankly was a bit tacky to have to do this and took a TON of effort and stress. That being said, it was an honest mistake and she agreed to discount the itineraries for the gift bag to reconcile the mistake. Overall, despite the fumble, The Invitorium is fantastic and will create the most memorable and gorgeous invitations for you. I truly do recommend them and Lisa is really a sweet woman to work with.

d was our favorite vendor we hired for our wedding. We were so pleased with how everything turned out and she made the process fun and exciting, capturing our vision through everything we did. Our guests are still complimenting our gorgeous invitation suite - all thanks to this amazing team!!!
