eamless. She always made us feel at ease, organized, and excited for the day! Everything went so smoothly and we can't thank the staff at The Grand and The Courtyard Marriott enough for their help!
You could not choose a better venue for your wedding! For starters it is beautiful! The lighting and modern elements pulled us in. It is also loaded with convenience: right next to...
a hotel with access to get ready room(s) from the night before and all day, a place to store décor items, and covered FREE parking. The food options are plentiful and everything was so good! Our guests were raving about everything from the appetizers, main course, and drinks. However, none of that compares to the absolutely AMAZING staff! We worked with Olivia from the first tour of the space all the way through dancing during the reception. It can't be overstated how they literally made my dream wedding come true. I did not have to worry about a single thing on wedding day. They set everything up exactly how I wanted it (if not better) and did all the extra things I did not even know to ask for. They took care of some issues that came up with extreme professionalism. I have zero regrets as this was one of the best choices I have made.

d its prime Columbus location makes it even better. The coordinators and chefs work seamlessly together to ensure every detail is perfect, creating a truly memorable experience for couples and their guests. Highly recommend!
We just got married this past weekend and everything from start to finish of our wedding planning process to end of our reception was amazing.
Olivia, the venue coordinator, went ...
above and beyond her job title in all ways. She originally was not the coordinator when we first booked all the way back in July. With the transition, she met with us multiple times leading up to the wedding week. Moving her schedule to accommodate our schedules to tour the venues, have catch up meetings, and answer all of our questions no matter how tiny or annoying they can be. But she seriously shined during the week of the wedding.
We were able to drop things off early, go through a full details meeting about what we expected going in. She set up all our decorations up for us for the day of. And even assisted in stuffing in the hotel bags with our moms. She got us checked into our rooms early and really make sure the entire day was as stress free as possible. During the reception, we even got a chance to see and dance with her on the dance floor.
Olivia and everyone at the Grand Event Center really did make our day as magical as we imagined. We would not have been able to be as relaxed as we were without their help.

as so helpful! She responded to all emails so quickly and provided so many helpful tips. We didn't have to worry about any of the behind the scenes things on my wedding day because they had everything covered! All our guests raved about the food and the convenience of the venue being attached to a hotel. Booking our wedding here was the best decision!
Melissa and Olivia were amazing!! They were very tentative and made our day so special!!

ard by Marriott OSU attached was perfect. Plus, the space itself is beautiful with the modern lights and patio space. The food was delicious - we even got compliments on it! It was an easy planning process especially with the packages; the whole team was accommodating and pleasant to work with. They made sure all the details were taken care of so we could enjoy our day. We’d definitely recommend The Grand Event Center!

my husband and I were taken care of through the whole event. Planning was a breeze and Olivia was always there to answer questions.
The entire staff is fabulous. Many guests came up to us after the wedding and raved about Olivia and the staff going way above anything they could have asked for. The food was also incredible. We had so many comments on how delicious it was. I am so happy I picked The Grand and I encourage anyone looking for a venue to book with the Grand. Absolutely no regrets. We will always be thankful for our experience here.
Wow! I cannot say enough amazing things about The Grand Event Center! If you're looking for a wedding venue, don't hesitate - book it right away! Trust me, everything about this pl...
ace is absolutely fantastic!
First of all, let's talk about the venue itself. It's new, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean. Plus, they've got great air conditioning, so you don't have to worry about sweating through your summer wedding. They really go above and beyond to make sure the space is just perfect for your big day.
But what truly sets The Grand apart is their incredible staff. Shannah, the lovely person we met on our first visit, made us feel so welcome and special. She genuinely cared about our love story and our vision for the wedding. By the end of the meeting, we felt like old friends! And that level of warmth and care continued throughout the entire process.
As we got closer to the wedding, Olivia and Melissa took over and blew us away with their attention to detail. These ladies are event planning experts! They asked us questions we hadn't even thought of, to ensure that every aspect of our day would be flawless.
The week leading up to the wedding, we felt like we were their number one priority. Olivia and Melissa were always there, asking how they could assist us - from getting us coffee, to delivering food, to managing our vendors. They truly went above and beyond! On the day of the wedding, they must have brought us and our families coffee at least four times. And let me tell you, they absolutely nailed the personal touches. My husband is obsessed with Macaroni and Cheese, and they surprised him with a special bowl of it at our head table. And as for me, they left a thoughtful note and a bottle of espresso martinis in our room. How amazing is that?
I genuinely miss working with Olivia, Melissa, and the rest of the staff at The Grand. They made our wedding day truly unforgettable. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about how friendly and accommodating the staff was, how delicious the food was, and how stunning the venue looked. I couldn't agree more!
So, if you're looking for a wedding venue that will exceed your wildest expectations, look no further than The Grand Event Center. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

municating throughout the process and it was amazing to see everything come together to effortlessly (for us). The staff at The Grand was very attentive during the event to all the details and making sure we had everything we need. On the hotel side, all the staff was welcoming and so easy to work with, check in, make sure we had enough space, etc. Shout out to Ann at Courtyard, Melissa, Oliva and Shannah as the coordinators of Grand and everyone else who made our day perfect, easy and seamless. Special thanks to Melissa and Oliva for being there day of and keeping everything moving. As an lgbtq+ couple having a wedding and reception there, I would 10/10 would recommend The Grand for a wedding or any event!

heir part but our part that they helped us resolved quickly. Biggest issue an arch was forgotten and we were to provide. After expense of florals for an Arch, we need the Arch. Shannon helped us procure an Arch that afternoon 3 hours prior to wedding and it was delivered timely and assembled ahead of promised time. Shannon was there every step of the way to help us with all our needs. Shannon and her team (particularly Leighton) made everything seamless and unforgettable for all us, there is not enough words I can say to express my gratitude. Particularly the bride and groom. They were unaware of any issues. Thank you to Shannon and Leighton for all you did to make this day beautiful. Shannon was even very supportive for this momma that had to put on a smile all day when heart was breaking inside because my son's sister, brother n law and niece could not attend and participate because of COVID. I cannot thank you enough for all your support through out day to keep me together.

tacular. I love all the staff, especially Shannah. She was our rock through this process.
People don’t talk enough about how stressful and lonely wedding planning can be. It stirs up a lot of gross emotions, people want to weigh in too much or not enough, and it can feel isolating. (IE: sobbing over chair decorations because no one will tell you which one looks better or will say it doesn’t matter.)
Shannah helped us so much guiding us through choosing/obtaining the basics and necessities, while also giving great advice on the unnecessary (but pretty) add-ons. Majority of us will only do this once and this will be our first and hopefully only time. It’s really hard to but all your trust into a bunch of strangers but I promise if you choose this place everything will be amazing. Even my little brother who is fairly quiet said Shannah was awesome and “kept it pushin” because timelines go by way too fast and having her helped a ton. 😂
10/10 recommend this place for your wedding!!! ❤️

s in the pre-reception area; we had a delicious dinner and after-party in the ballroom.
Shannah Paddock, The Grand Event Planner was great to work with. Shannah gave great recommendations and she referred us to our music vendor. The head waiter, the wait staff and everyone we came in contact from the Grand Event Center with were top notch.
Our family and guests enjoyed their evening at the Grand Event Center. I recommend this location as a great place to host your event.

ful, which created a seamless experience. The space itself is beautiful from the outdoor space , to the ballroom, to the entry/bar area. The staff was very professional and on point with every detail. Everyone raved about the food, and the bar staff was great! We would recommend this venue for any couple looking for an all-inclusive wedding.

s was made so easy because of them. Every single person was so on top of things. We worked close with Shannah through the planning process. She was extremely responsive, organized, and always had such a positive attitude. And sadly when she couldn't join us for our big day due to a vacation - she ensured a smooth hand off to Melissa. Melissa made the weekend so incredibly special - and between her, Leighton and his staff - they ensured the accuracy of every little detail that had been planned. There were two major things our guests have since commented on - 1. The staff being so friendly and helpful - and 2. the food was so delicious, Chef Aaron really did an amazing job.

cious, the ballroom is stunning, and our guests loved using the patio too! On the day of we felt so taken care of and all the little details were handled for us. Every guest we have talked to can't say enough about how great the venue was and how well the day went! Justin and I are SO grateful to the staff and would recommend the venue to anyone looking in the Columbus area.

and made our day smooth and stress free! We planned this wedding from out of state, but we never felt like that was an issue. The Grand worked tirelessly to make our long distance vision come to life… how they made it look effortless, I will never know.
First, I would like to give a shout out to our coordinator. I can’t imagine what this wedding would have been like without Shannah Paddock… if you work with her, you will NOT be disappointed! Shannah made everything easy as could be, her creativity was out of this world, and her design was on point! And if you need a surprise prop (or your favorite cereal) during the speech portion of the night, she’s your gal! She was definitely made for this job and will work with the top notch team to make all the things come together better than imagined!
From the cocktail hour space to the reception to the outdoor patio, believe me when I say it will surpass everything you’ve been hoping for for your wedding! I only wish I could attach a picture of my face when we first saw the space for the first time because it would explain it all!
I’m a firm believer wedding food can make or break the mood for the night… and the food here was to die for! I cannot stress enough how wonderful Chef Collins did! I still dream of eating our wedding dinner over and over and over… this was yet another thing our guests raved about! No one left hungry, but everyone left wanting more!
Lastly, having a hotel attached to your venue was probably the smartest thing we could have done… other than getting married! It was so nice to be able to eat, drink and walk/stumble back to the room to continue the party! More convenient than you could imagine!
I cannot thank The Grand Event Center enough for everything they did for us… it was a day to remember, and I shall be recommending them to anyone who will listen!

ne of the best weddings they had ever attended. The venue itself was gorgeous. The weather held out so we were able to utilize both inside and the outside courtyard. The food was beyond amazing as well! Normally you get wedding food and it’s just “eh” but I’m telling you the food was 5 stars! Shannah, our event coordinator was also so amazing! I can be very scatter brained when I start to get stressed and she kept me on track throughout the whole process and was so helpful! I am so happy we got married here. I 10/10 recommend to any future couples!

ghout the wedding planning process and wedding weekend. The food was out of this world. We raved about it for nearly a year to anyone who asked since we had the tasting and to nobody's surprise, Aaron and the culinary team delivered a beautiful and delicious meal. Nearly all of our guests were from out of town so having the hotel connected to the venue was absolutely vital and it was very simple to get guests booked and then get updates on the room block bookings to make sure we were on track. The venue, on its face, is absolutely beautiful and didn't need much extra decoration. We delivered the items we had a few days prior to the wedding, gave a basic explanation of what we wanted, and got to see the final product unveiled right before our reception started. The final product was beautiful and better than we imagined. Shannah coordinated all of our vendors for a seamless day. They also coordinated so that the bride and her party could get ready in the suite and the groom and his party had a hospitality room in the hotel on the day-of. There was a plate of our desserts and a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room after the wedding. They even accommodated our dog coming to our first look and for some photos before the ceremony. This venue absolutely met all of our needs.

kitchen, we are still getting compliments on the food. “Best wedding food ever!” Leighton and his banquet team are the best in the business! They are so professional and so kind. The server for the head table, Wilkinson, was amazing!
The location was absolutely perfect for us and our guests. With the hotel right next door, guests did not even have to go outside and we did not have to worry about transportation. They loved the convenience and so did we!
From the time we booked our venue, through the entire year of planning, to the days after the wedding, Shannah was so attentive and there for every question I had. She was always asking what she could do to help take the stress off me.
Thank you so much to the entire team at The Grand Event Center and the Courtyard Marriott Columbus OSU! You have the best team, the best venue, and best food in Columbus! We would recommend them over and over again!
Not one to give such a great review ;
I give Shannah and her team a 5-star among the few!

te.
With pointers to line this up to be great;
And knowing how we "planners" tend not to know our fate.
The GEC team guided us while hearing;
Our ideas and input and concerns we were fearing.
With all that together; and calm as could be;
Shannah The Awesome made it so for all to see.
The tables and chairs and cake to be had;
All laid out in the way we wanted - nothing out of place, not even a tad.
If you're looking for a team to work with and to plan;
It's Shannah & the GEC squad who make it - we're now their biggest fans.
Happy to tell others about our wonderful day;
and the weeks that it took to make it so awesome, so I must say.
A true 5-star experience...

s before the wedding where you talk about how you want the space decorated and hand over all your stuff - the whole team takes care of it and you don't have to lift a finger!
Our guests were so impressed as well and could not stop talking about how great the food was. Also, the beer selection is great! They have local/craft options, which I didn't see at any of the other venues we checked out.

vision come to life, including the things we wanted that made the wedding uniquely "ours" and not always the standard requests (a huge cookie table and late night pizza, for example).
Their team really took the stress off of Mike and me and I was absolutely blown away with how the venue looked on our wedding day. It was everything we could have dreamed of and they even brought some desserts up to our room so that we could share a special moment after the reception was over.
The guests still rave about the food and the service they received. The waitstaff, bartenders, and coordinators were better than at any wedding I've attended in the past. I can't say enough good things about our experience. The Grand Event Center made our day perfect.

d. Kate helped us reschedule our wedding to 2021 flawlessly. She and her team did a fantastic job at ensuring every detail was considered and every question (I had A LOT of questions!) were answered. The staff working the event made all of our guests feel welcomed and relaxed throughout our reception. Shannnah made sure our decor was perfect and everything the day of was exactly what we envisioned. We are so happy we chose The Grand Event Center!

The Grand Event center was so easy to work with. The staff took care of everything, but the main highlight would have to be the food. It was PHENOMENAL. The best meal at a wedding ...
I’ve ever had. Still to this day our guests rave about it. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that they accidentally served the wrong chicken dinner. I was looking forward to maple dijon chicken and they ended up serving a spinach/ricotta stuffed chicken. But guess what?!?? It was still delicious! Even the vegan cauliflower steak was so good, and I’m not a fan of vegan!
Long story short, even if things don’t necessarily go to plan, you’re still in wonderful, capable hands with the Grand Event Center!

I can't say enough great things about the Grand Event Center and it's staff. From Day 1 they were extremely nice, very easy to work with, and most importantly made our wedding day ...
the most memorable day of our lives!
Throughout the entire wedding planning process they were so quick in responding to our questions, and went above and beyond with whatever favor or request we had for them. Staff responded to phone calls/emails VERY quickly, and were always willing to help with whatever we needed. All the way up until the day of our wedding they were in constant communication with both of us to make sure everyone was on the same page. Just an amazing staff to work with for a wedding!
The venue was BEAUTIFUL the day of the wedding, and the food was raved about by all of our guests throughout the night. It also doesn't hurt how great their location is in Grandview Yard!
I would highly recommend this venue to any engaged couple looking for an event space for their wedding!

We HIGHLY enjoyed our food from the tasty bison empanadas and stuffed mushrooms to the butternut squash ravioli! The guests highly enjoyed the grub as well!
Our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott OSU was also very nice. The staff was courteous enough to make sure we had our guest gift bags, wedding decorations and even our room details (mirrors, beauty stations etc.) all in order leading up to the big day.
Being a bride and groom can get kind of stressful, especially planning a wedding of 170+, but The Grand Event Center made it easy to accomplish and picture perfect at that!
I am so glad we chose "The Grand Event Center" for our venue for our August wedding! This venue had everything we were looking for: location, connected to a hotel, had catering on ...
site, and had a team of dedicated professionals to make sure everything was taken care of! Caroline was a pleasure to work with, she was very quick on communication and she helped make our ideas a reality. We knew we were in good hands with her! I loved being able to use all of the wonderful spaces at The Grand Event Center had to offer (ballroom, atrium/pre-fuction room, etc), and being able to use the courtyard for our cocktail hour was just perfect! The food was incredible (we got so many compliments) and the bar service was excellent. The staff there were very attentive and so professional, everything went perfectly. My only comment was that we had to be out of the space by midnight, so the end of our reception was a little rushed. While they did let us go over a few minutes, it would have made the evening even better if we didn't have to pack up so quickly after the reception was over. Other than that- everything was great! I would highly recommend The Grand Event Center for a full-package wedding venue! Thank you for making our wedding so special!
This place was amazing! From Caroline, the event planner, to the wait staff, they were all amazing! And the food was delicious!! We had 200 guests and I didn't hear one bad review....
As a matter of fact, I am still hearing the rave reviews. Everyone was accommodating, friendly, and helpful. I contacted Caroline often with questions and she answered promptly and courteously every time. I would HIGHLY recommend this for your next event, but especially wedding receptions because the rooms are just a hallway away. LOVED IT!! THANK YOU!!!

dding, Caroline and the rest of the staff were extremely quick and friendly when responding to my many emails. Caroline helped us plan the wedding of our dreams, and Kate executed it on the day of. They accommodated my Youngstown cookie table, Italian food requests, and family wanting to help through the set up process. Our guests could not stop talking about how great the service and food was! And my husband and I both appreciated that staff frequently checked in with us to make sure we ate and had a drink if needed. I also appreciated how well the event center worked with our other vendors. Basically, everything was perfect and I would recommend The Grand Event Center to anyone and everyone!
Couldn’t be happier with having my ceremony and reception at The Grand Event Center! I had the pleasure of working with Carolyn and she was the BEST! She really knows how to run ...
a wedding and really acted as a day of planner for us which you won’t get at other venues. We had a timeline for the day and she made sure we were where we needed to be. She also ran our rehearsal for us which was super helpful! All of the decor I brought in was set up exactly the way I wanted. I also had a donut/mini cupcake table that I wanted set up a certain way and the event center executed my vision for that table perfectly. Along with all of the that, Carolyn also was very personable with us and brought us each a gift during the day and had sweets left for us in our room at the end of the night. Overall this venue is perfect for a ceremony and reception and not to mention it’s connected to a Marriott hotel so it’s super convenient for your guests. The hotel was amazing as well for us and our guests. Highly recommend this venue!!

We wanted something that included most everything, The Grand Event Center was exactly what we were looking for! It has a variety of package options, plenty of space, attached to a ...
hotel, and close to another. The food was outstanding as well as service. They provide you with a coordinator. We worked with Caroline W., who helped plan, answered all of our questions, and executed the day without a hitch. We could not be happier with our decision to have our ceremony and reception at The Grand Event Center.

ved the modern feel and made it easier to keep our decorations/florals simple! Luckily, we had great weather for our wedding and guests were able to enjoy the patio during our cocktail hour and during the wedding. We also received a number of compliments for how convenient it was to have the hotel attached to the venue, since most were out of town guests. We worked with Caroline and she was great to work with! She was very responsive, made everything easy to understand, she provided wonderful guidance when asked, and was awesome in ensuring all our logistics ran smoothly. I highly recommend The Grand!
