We had our wedding here and it was truly beautiful. The pavilion for getting ready was perfect and such a great space to start the day. The food was also so good and all of our guests kept saying how much they enjoyed it.
Madison and Sarah were both insanely helpful and made everything run so smoothly, which really helped us relax and enjoy the day.
The only drawback was that golfers were still on the course during the ceremony and were actively looking for balls in the field right behind the space, which was a bit distracting at times and not what we expected for a wedding setting. That coordination could definitely be improved.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we’re so happy we chose this venue.

Sarah began her career in event planning while attending Kuyper College, working at a nearby ski resort. Her passion for the food and beverage industry persisted, leading her to spend the next two decades working in both food and beverage and event planning roles, including a decade-long tenure at Boatwerks Restaurant. In January of 2023, she joined Watermark’s team as an Event Sales Manager.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys visiting her children, who are stationed in different states, traveling, boating, camping, and practicing her golf skills.

Haley obtained her bachelor’s degree in hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meetings & Event Management and a minor in business from Grand Valley State University in April 2023. She brings a variety of hospitality experiences to the team, including working at Watermark Country Club in 2022, where she provided exceptional service to members and groups at various events. Haley has also served in different roles for RedWater and was most recently a client services assistant for Conference and Event Planning at Grand Valley State University.
Outside of work, Haley enjoys cooking, traveling to new places, fitness, and experiencing downtown Grand Rapids.

Jacey earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University in April 2025. She’s been part of the RedWater team for several years, growing within the company and gaining hands-on experience in both guest service and event planning. Her time at RedWater has given her a deep understanding of the company’s day-to-day operations, as well as its strong culture and dedication to delivering memorable experiences.

a lot of nice places for them. We had a vintage themed wedding and since the course is an old farm there were a lot of vintage things there!
Now the planning of the wedding with the course was a headache. The wedding coordinator couldn't get things right, our wedding is over and we were still over billed for the wedding. We emailed back and forth (which was a good thing) so I had all given prices in writing from the coordinator. I had to correct things over and over. Even after her telling us she would fix them. The day of the wedding we paid extra for a bartender, and though not many got alcoholic drinks the ones who did were always waiting for someone. I was not happy about this, I thought my money was going to someone who would be there waiting, but no! When it was time to cut the cake there was no cake knife (we had a bride and groom cake with cupcakes for the guests). I had a signed contract and I held the coordinator to that and the word she gave us. If you plan to use them for your wedding make sure you do the same. Have written confirmation of everything or you will be paying twice as much as you were told.

I loved the feel of our reception being indoors but with all glass doors and windows so it felt like you were outside and could overlook the course or go outside to get some fresh air. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with and I cant mention enough how great the food was! I still have people mention how great the food was and being the best food they have had at a wedding. Thats an awesome feeling to have high quality delicious food for your guests! We had almost 250 people and it was a perfect fit for everything. It was nice to be able to bring decorations and set up the reception to however we wanted and be able to make it our own. There was plenty of parking for guests and the bathrooms and bar area were a really nice set up! Everything was a resonable price and I compared a lot of places with food, bar, room rental etc and this place was the best for it! I'm so glad we went with Thornapple Pointe for our wedding reception, what an incredible reception and happy memories we will always have now!

They had the room laid out for even flow and no confusion for guests. We were well warned regarding the single-use restrooms and they did open the clubhouse when the line started to grow, but we hope they will take the light switches off timers soon (Yipes!).
Overall, we were very happy and our guests shared the same sentiment! If you're looking for a more casual, outdoor feel for your event but want the security of a roof over your head and heat (or a/c) for your guests, look at Thornapple Pointe's pavilion!
