I discovered the Golden Age in early 2024 after searching for a late-night spot with 1. good food; 2. good cocktails; 3. a decent wine list; and 4. an industry-friendly environment. It meets all of these requirements and more, with a brilliant ...
kitchen staff, an in-house cheese monger, and barkeepers well-versed in wine, beer, and (most of all) cocktails. I could go on and on, about the music, the awesome doormen, the lighting, etc etc. But to conclude, this has become one of my absolute favorite places to end up after a night of work or a night out.

Vibe was immaculate, very old school speakeasy esque. Great happy hour with a $10 shot and a beer. The burger was one of the better burgers I’ve had in the city.

Golden Age is a fun old school DC restaurant with an almost speakeasy type vibe and fantastic cocktails. Definitely take advantage of their happy hour. I recommend having a reservation, but we arrived shortly after they opened at 5pm and were...
able to snag a table for two. Their food menu is just the right size: appetizers, small plates and a few entrees. We tried a few of the small plates and then ordered the pub burger and chicken kabobs for our main dishes. I highly recommend the lamb kabob as well. The confit potatoes are tasty too. My husband said his burger was on point. I enjoyed the chicken kabobs with couscous. We finished with some yummy beignets. Our server was awesome. She made some great cocktail and food recommendations. We will be back. Thanks for a great evening in DC. :-)

One of my favorite cocktail bars in DC! The decor and vibes are perfect for dates, friends gatherings, and celebrations. There's a great backroom for private events and they also have comedy on Thursday nights!

I liked this place! Lovely decor and vibe, cozy with a vintage feel. We had a double date here. The menu is extensive, and both drinks I had (Paloma and Naked and Famous) were quite good. Prices are steep but not unreasonable. My chicken kebab ...
with yogurt was alright, spicy and favorable but not super memorable. My partner’s burger was delish. Nice servers although occasionally disorganized, like we had two waiters for our table. Not too noisy, so it’s a good place for conversation.
