I deeply regret hiring Glenmar Studio for my wedding.
I booked Glenmar Studio in July 2022 for my October 2023 wedding, and in 15 months, they changed my photographer three times,... including the night before my wedding. Prior to my wedding the sales rep gave me false information about the studio’s policy on shot lists and timelines, so none of my preferred or unwanted shots were communicated to the photographers. Moreover, the sales rep refused to take my timeline, resulting in the photographers arriving 45 minutes later than my start time without notice.
When they finally arrived, Manai wasted 20 minutes moving me to another room for getting ready photos I didn't want. Despite my repeated concerns about the time, both photographers assured me we had plenty of it. After my first look with my husband, Manai pulled us away, leaving the bridal party unaware of our whereabouts until 4:40pm. At 4:20 PM, when I saw guests arriving early, I asked to take bridal party or family photos and he refused, continuing to focus on my husband and I.
Manai's poor time management and refusal to listen caused a rushed photo session, leaving only 15 minutes for family and bridal party photos. Further more, he insisted on individual bridesmaid photos ahead of family photos despite my objections. 10 minutes before the ceremony, we were still taking photos and guests were approaching us outside, ruining the surprise of my dress reveal and leaving us with hurried, poorly managed group photos. My husband had to be photoshopped into my family photo because of Manai's mismanagement.
Sadly, the majority of my ceremony photos look amateurish and subpar. Most are too zoomed out, some are crooked, many have people in the way, and they feature bad side angles, despite having an unplugged ceremony with empty rows available for the photographers to stand in. Many could have been cropped or straightened before being uploaded to my gallery.
In the end, I never received any of the photos I specifically requested, such as those of my husband and I at our sweetheart table, the cufflinks and socks I bought for my father and brother, or my family wedding photo table. Glenmar Studio offered a free wedding album to compensate for the disastrous experience. However, when I requested two rounds of simple edits to the album, including photoshopping my husband to my family photo, they demanded $20 per edited photo, despite the album being gifted to me as a goodwill gesture.
Glenmar continually tries to allude to the fact that this was a “misunderstanding”, which is false. I strongly advise against booking Glenmar Studio. If you already have, find another photographer to save yourself from stress and disappointment on your wedding day and well thereafter! Update: It's disappointing that this studio continues to gaslight me. On 10/12, Jessica refused to accept my timeline, stating, "We do not work off of outside timelines or shot lists." My claims of their lateness are factual. I informed Jessica multiple times that my hair and makeup would be done by 12:30- not- 1:00. They arrived in suite at 1:10. Additionally, as professional photographers, it's your responsibility to capture moments regardless of how "crowded" the wedding may be. My ceremony was unplugged, meaning guests were not using phones or cameras, so there was no excuse for missing critical shots. Your photographers could and should have positioned themselves accordingly. The photos below speak for themselves.
