The Glen Club

experience was the incredible communication we had with Michael Koenig and Kate Vivacue. They were exceptionally responsive, accommodating, and ensured that every detail was taken care of.Their professionalism added a comforting touch, making the entire wedding planning process seamless. The venue itself is a true gem. Our winter wedding was a breeze, thanks to the stunning indoor setting. The beauty of The Glen Club made us forget all about the chilly weather outside. The team's attention to detail in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere truly made our day magical. What sets The Glen Club apart is its thoughtful approach to guest accommodation. Having hotel rooms conveniently located upstairs was a game-changer. Our guests appreciated the ease of transitioning from the celebration to a comfortable night's stay. Additionally, having access to breakfast and lunch downstairs during their stay was a thoughtful touch that made our guests feel truly cared for.The food and drinks were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The catering team exceeded our expectations, and our guests couldn't stop raving about the delightful spread. Lastly, I must commend the entire staff at The Glen Club for their kindness and professionalism. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect. Their dedication and warm hospitality truly made our wedding unforgettable. In conclusion, if you're looking for a wedding venue that combines elegance, professionalism, and exceptional service, The Glen Club is the perfect choice. Our winter wedding was everything we hoped for, and we are forever grateful for the amazing memories created at this fantastic venue. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at The Glen Club for making our special day absolutely perfect!

indows that revealed the golf course, the setting sun over the patio, and beautiful forestry. We worked with Michael and Kate who were exceptionally responsive. You can tell very quickly how passionate they are about giving you the best experience and answering any question you can think of. Another shoutout goes to Colleen, who managed the hotel room block. She did a wonderful job updating us how many guests were booked and informing us of the deadline. We visited many venues during our search, and TGC stood out as elite; our wedding night experience confirmed it!

tio overlooking golf course for cocktail, THE MOST GORGEOUS reception hall with hall ceilings. Also bonus of having hotel rooms upstairs for the bride + groom and guests so no needing to drive home. I could go on and on about why I am so happy with this decision. Also need to shoutout Michael and the rest of the staff. He was AMAZING. Was so attentive to detail and made it his mission to make sure the day was perfect. Could not recommend more! 100/10.

ception and we didn't need to travel at all for photos or for a hotel because everything is so conveniently located and beautiful. We had the pleasure of working with Michael for the majority of the planning process. He is phenomenal! He was super responsive and anticipated all of our needs. On the day of the wedding, we worked with Kate who was equally as amazing moving the day seamlessly along. Every person at The Glen Club, from the waitstaff to the front desk to those who broke down the dance floor at the end of the night (and everyone in between) made our day super special and I absolutely recommend this venue!

beautiful and so convenient to not have to travel around for photos. Plus we loved that the ballroom is so nice that we didn’t need a ton of decor. The staff was great. Michael is lovely. He is professional and just gets it. You can tell he’s been involved in hundreds of weddings. Last but not least, the food was incredible! Everyone raved about the appetizers, the filets and yes, even the soup! It was all fantastic.

all pictures, hotel rooms, and the perfect reception space inside that doesn't look like a traditional wedding hall. Michael is also amazing to work with! He always had an answer for my millions to emails, got every detail right even though I changed things the day before my wedding, and got the room set up perfectly just from me dropping off a few bins the day before. I HIGHLY recommend The Glen Club!!!

d it shows. He is attentive, has great ideas and many suggestions for top vendors. It was like having access to a personal wedding planner. He goes out of his way to create the wedding that you envision and adds little touches you would not think of on your own. The entire staff is great, hardworking, and professional. They were very understanding when having to plan a wedding under the changing pandemic guidelines and very flexible when we kept changing dates and drastically lowered headcount. They were able to create a wedding that followed all social distancing guidelines, but it still felt like our special day and we will never forget it. We have no regrets on any of the compromises we invariably had to make to accommodate COVID restrictions, and most of that is because Michael and The Glen staff made those decisions easy and offered some creative suggestions to make it all work. The venue itself is also beautiful, with great views of the golf course, the food was very good, and the bar service was excellent. I would highly recommend The Glen for your next wedding or any other event. We still want to celebrate our wedding with all of the friends and family who could not be with us this year, and plan on doing that in 2021 at The Glen, we know they will do a great job making that day special as well.

n't have a wedding planner and I was a little nervous the month before the big day. After we had our call with Michael a week before the event I knew I wasn't going to have to worry about anything at all - and the day of the wedding was a dream! The venue was beautiful - the food was amazing, the bar was perfect and Michael and his team made our wedding so fun for my husband and I! We got to relax and enjoy while they magically took care of everything. We found our photographer and DJ through the Glen Club as well and they were awesome too. Chicago Brides and Grooms - check out the Glen Club!

d I can’t say enough nice things about Mike Rosengarden who made the last month and day of details all happen so smoothly! We initially worked with Michael Koenig who was great and gave us a lot of ideas, but when he left less than two months before the wedding I was a bit nervous. Needless to say, Mike was a seasoned pro and his clam demeanor and can-do attitude put me at ease immediately. The venue itself is a beautiful fairly neutral space that allows you to really make it your own in any color palette. I had a jewel toned theme and it all looked fabulous when the decor was set up and I didn’t feel mine looked like every other wedding which felt nice! The food—our guests have not stopped raving about the food over a month later. The appetizers were all delicious, and since we’d eaten there before we’d requested having the grill chips on the cocktail tables for a little extra and everyone loved that touch too. Our entrees were the filet and salmon duet which was outstanding, and the spinach and feta streusel for vegetarians was also delicious. My husband is a veggie as we’re about 20 of our guests and they all raved about it! Our tomato soup and glen salad was also so yummy. The cake baker they included in Couture Cupcake Cafe were fabulous and easy to work with too, and we loved our cake! Because we love food, we also had the Homer’s sundae bar, then warm pretzels and cheese and cookies for late night snacks and our guests were head over heels in love with all the food options. Little things too like allowing us to drop off our 8 foot massive boxwood place card board, ceremony programs, and other day-of essentials 3-4 days in advance, and allowing our dog to be our flower girl in the garden outside were just the nicest little touches that made us feel so lucky to have chosen the Glen Club. Those small gestures go such a long way. Our day was 150% perfect, and if we had to do it all over again we’d absolutely have it at the Glen Club again! Thank you Mike R and everyone else there who helped make our day such a success!

in my planning and made sure everything was absolutely perfect on our wedding day. He made the vision I had for the day a reality. We also loved that we could have everything in one spot - the ceremony, reception and hotel rooms! Our bridal party loved that they could just go upstairs to get to their rooms as well. The food was top notch and we got so many compliments on it. The bartenders and Omar (lead for the night) were also amazing!!

ordinator, was personable, professional and approachable. He was prompt with correspondence via phone, email or text. His input and suggestions were invaluable. The wedding garden, terrace and ballroom are what a bride's dreams are made of. The Glen Club has spacious onsite guest rooms, a huge bridal suite with balcony and a wonderful restaurant. I could go on and on! My heart is full, my daughter is on cloud 9....what more could you ask for? Heartfelt thanks to The Glen Club staff, and especially Michael, for all you did!

hearts out until midnight. Having our suite right upstairs was the icing on the cake.

'd talk about the actual venue but the pictures speak for themselves. From the beautiful landscape offering a wide variety of photograph scenery to the tall ceilings and large windows, we couldn't ask for something more beautiful. We started the process with Isabella and that lady knew her stuff but a month before our wedding she left. Kellie stepped up to the plate. She met with me within days of Isabella telling me she was leaving. Kellie calmed my nerves and was totally ready to take on the task of my wedding. She covered so many details for us, including washing our toasting glasses and cake knife/server and placing them in the room for us. She took every request I gave and went beyond my expectations. She's super flexible and very kind. My guests are still talking about the beautiful venue and delicious food. I'm so in love with this place. I honestly would have more events here. Maybe a baby shower for the future!

o organized and responsive throughout the entire process. The food was incredible and we received so many compliments from our guests. Some of them even said it was the best wedding meal they ever had! Everything else was perfect and the entire day went off without a glitch - and that's all due to the staff at The Glen Club! They even brought all of our wedding gifts up to the bridal suite during the reception and cleaned & repackaged our cake cutter and champagne flutes. They put my husband & I at complete ease throughout our wedding journey with them. I couldn't speak highly enough of The Glen Club and am so incredibly happy we had our special day there!

astic job with us and was very detail oriented. They coordinated well with our other vendors and timed the evening out perfectly. Would definitely recommend for other events!

e wedding planning process with the Glen Club flawless. Isabella was prompt in responding to any questions we had throughout our planning. She even brought up ideas/concerns that we hadn't thought of. On the day of the wedding, she took care of everything! She brought our gifts up to the bridal suite for safe keeping after all of the guests arrived. In addition, she brought any other items that were used (toasting flutes, cake topper, etc.) up to the bridal suite to ease our minds. Not to mention, she continued to check in with my husband and I and even our parents to make sure the evening was to our satisfaction. Every aspect from the service, food, to beauty of the property is outstanding. We're so happy that we made the Glen Club our reception venue!!!

d they ever had. They especially liked the coconut shrimp appetizer. We served a duet of chicken and filet which everyone loved. The venue itself is very pretty and there is a balcony that overlooks the outdoor space where the cocktail hour is held. There is also a balcony inside which makes for a great bouquet toss. We would highly recommend. The catering director, Isabella, is awesome too!

get. She is organized, professional, and accommodates all requests. She had the room set exactly how we wanted it. Isabella even checked in with us a few times during the night to see if everything was OK or if we needed anything. The Glen Club gets a lot of traffic on the weekends from golfers and restaurant guests but they always seem to have somebody cleaning the floors or shining up something. Howard the GM is great and makes sure everything is running smooth from the start of the day. With Howard and Isabella's help they made our ceremony indoors great even after it was supposed to be outside and it started raining 10 minutes before we went out!!! We're still getting compliments about the food. We chose Filet & Chicken but they have plenty of options. We also had late night snacks which were a hit. Our wedding was about 150 guests and the room held that just perfect. The Glen has hotel rooms up top which is a nice bonus for you and guests. You have the option to take them all for your wedding night and they offer you a nice rate for a Chicago area hotel. We can't thank the entire Glen Club staff enough for their professionalism. They do a wedding every weekend but they will make yours unique and put all of their effort into your day! Thank you Isabella, Howard, and all of Glen Club!

tdoor patio was. I highly recommend use of the outdoor patio overlooking the golf course for your cocktail hour. The golf course also makes a great backdrop for photos.

oom was stunning, it blew us (and our guests) away. The beauty of the event was matched, if not surpassed, by the attentiveness of the staff, who made the evening go off without a hitch. Isabella, the event manager, helped to ensure the details of our day were perfect; I knew we were in good hands throughout each planning meeting, as well as after our final walkthrough. No stone was left unturned, and I was truly able to hand over the reins without a second thought. She delivered our wedding flawlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy every single second. Although I realize that I may be biased (having been the bride), I recently attended another wedding at The Glen Club as a guest, and was just as impressed with the service, not to mention the amazing food! Both events were at maximum capacity, but the staff made sure that each guest was attended to; bar lines moved quickly, and a server was never too far during both cocktail hour (the appetizers were incredible!) and dinner (also incredible both times - guests raved about the food!) Add to all of this the convenience of the beautiful on-site hotel rooms, and you cannot have anything less than a fantastic wedding weekend! Guests were beyond pleased with their weekend accommodations, as were we in the luxurious bridal suite. I only hope that we will be able to stay again! I cannot imagine our wedding at any other venue, and am so happy that we chose The Glen Club. We were thrilled to share our day with The Glen, and have a lifetime of gorgeous photos to help us to remember the amazing experience that we had there!

te your own personal vision for your wedding. The food was amazing- we had so many compliments! The space is so accommodating for all guests with the ability to go out onto the patio or into the "pre-function" during the reception. There are great locations to take pictures both indoors and outdoors. We looked at over 10 venues in the area and I would highly recommend the Glen Club.

incredibly great to work with. Her organization, quick responses to questions, and overall ability to keep all of the details in line was really appreciated by us during our wedding planning process. The Glen Club took care of pretty much everything having to do with the reception (cake was included, linens/chairs/tables, etc.) making it a very simple one stop shop for us. Our reception was perfect from start to end. The food was fantastic (we received many compliments from guests on this!) and everyone enjoyed the private feel of the venue (there's only one ballroom, so no other events happening at the same time as yours). The true bonus was the 21 guest rooms on the top floor of The Glen Club which our family and bridal party took over... allowing us to have an 'after party' with our nearest and dearest until almost 3 a.m. Our entire wedding day was perfect and we have Isabella and The Glen Club to thank for so much of it. We could not recommend The Glen Club more!

ll ever meet - so polite and genuinely excited to be a part of your wedding. From the very beginning until the very end she was always there whenever we needed anything - she returns phone calls when she's not even in the office (I have no idea how she does that!), replies to e-mails within hours and always does the best that she can to answer your questions. She's incredibly organized and to the point - she is not just a catering director - oh no. She was our mini wedding planner. We got advice on timelines for the entire day, which vendors she liked, how to handle tricky situations - it was amazing. The bakery that we had originally chosen for our cake (through a contract with The Glen) went out of business a few months before the wedding - very stressful and totally sad! So we went in to the new bakery that The Glen was contracting with, told them exactly what our cake was at the place before and they were able to do it...for an extra $400, which really annoyed me. Isabella was nice enough to split the extra cost with us (because, as she said, they didn't change bakeries because they wanted to...they had to!). She also was at our reception for the ENTIRE NIGHT. She made sure that everything was perfect and running smoothly. She personally delivered some of the special plates (vegetarian, gluten free, etc) to our guests, kept an eye on the wait staff and asked every so often (not in an annoying way AT ALL) if we needed anything. She was so great. I was really impressed that she was there until 12:30! And in addition to the amazing catering director, the catering itself is fantastic!! We had a dual entree of filet mignon and chicken breast - phenomenal. Everyone there said it was incredible. The appetizers at cocktail hour, soup and salad were delicious as well. The price of The Glen is definitely on the more expensive side, but it was well worth every penny. I wouldn't have had our wedding anywhere else!

ere looking for. They offer on site ceremonies, coctail hour, reception and accomodations. Isabella, the catering director, is absolutely amazing and is willing to work with you on any special personalizations you want for your wedding day. She is one of the big reasons we were so pleased with how our wedding turned out. I highly recommend visiting their website and making an appointment to tour the glen club as a wedding venue. It is just simply gorgeous. I am only giving 4 stars because the complimentary continental breakfast the morning after the wedding was pretty disappointing after charging guests $119 a night to stay.

est rooms upstairs. Better than anything I could have imagined!

ofessional, organized, event planner on the north shore - and she know her business. I work in the industry myself so I have a true appreciation for the amount of knowledge and grasp of the role she really has. I was in an absolute panic the week of my wedding because I was afraid to let go and be a guest for a change. Isabella assured me that she would make everything perfect. She is fully dedicated and present at your wedding, as though you were the only bride ever to have a wedding there - which is definitely not the case. She will not let one thing go wrong on your day. She has the staff down to a science. Everyone hates to go to a wedding and sit twiddling their thumbs - this won't happen. Service is prompt and friendly - seamless. Now, for the Glen Club. It was an incredibly rainy weekend but we were fortunate to see the sun peek through the clouds long enough to have a beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors. We wanted a wedding that was classy, simple, elegant and seamless, and we got it. The setting is beautiful and understated. The ballroom is a beautiful backdrop for the evening, done in champagne with high ceilings. We had 110 people and the room was perfect. I believe 150 would be comfortable as well. (Any more might be tight.) Our guests raved about the space and the impeccable service. If you are looking for a crazy, fancy, over the top wedding, this is not your place. If you are looking for a back-yard buffet and beer keg wedding, also not your place. But, if you want a classy wedding in the wedding garden followed by elegant cocktails over the golf course and a well-executed, "simple elegance" reception, book the Glen Club.

er head prices for all-inclusive (setup, bar, food, cake) helped estimate costs easily.

It was a cozy setting, only allowing for about 215 guests, but we wanted to go on the smaller side so it was perfect for our 160 guests. I'd recommend this to anyone. Isabella, the catering director is very organized and aims to please.
