There are simply not enough words to express how absolutely incredible the Fruited Plain is to work with from the beginning of wedding planning till the very end. The moment we met...
with the team we knew we made the right choice in selecting our caterer. Drew showed us the utmost dedication, respect and time from the get go allowing us to feel confident in knowing not only will our wedding be the one of our dreams but that our guest would be served top of the line, high quality, and artfully crafted dishes. Our guests are raving about the food to this day, the staff and their service and the way the event was ran seemingly flawlessly all due to Drew’s team. The Fruited Plain goes far beyond just catering. They become family, an integral part of a life changing event that truly would lack luster, success, and ease if they are not part of the team. They are essential members of the best vendor team there ever was.
For our wedding we opted for 5 passed bites and a family style meal of braised short ribs and mashed potatoes. We are still dreaming of this meal. The serving sizes were massive, our guests were so full and content and so many of them praised the fact that there was never a second food wasn’t available to them! They also built me the charcuterie table of my dreams- all fixings included!
We plan to carry the fruited plain members and team in our hearts not only as family but as go to vendors and caterers for absolutely every event we host in the future. I couldn’t not love them more if I tried!
I asked owner Drew Gabbe to provide appetizers, salads, and a cold entree for a family party the day after my son’s wedding. Drew helped me load the food trays in my car and expla...
ined how to heat the samosas and quesadillas. The food was so healthy, colorful, and delicious! Everyone complimented me and there was no food left on their plates! The quantity was generous and I’m enjoying the leftovers. The food was perfect for our afternoon party. I highly recommend The Fruited Plain caterers and will be ordering from them again.
When we met Drew, Chef at The Fruited Plain, and tasted his delicious food, we knew we had found “the one” – a caterer that could deliver high quality, unique wedding reception dis...
hes to satisfy a wide-range of tastes and dietary needs. Their menu options were extensive and varied. We appreciated the flexibility to tweak our menu choices long after we signed our contract, and the ease of communication through text and email. They coordinated everything…procuring linens, dishes and glassware, alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, and also set up the flowers and items we had chosen for our centerpieces.
The Fruited Plain accommodated our choice to have a lovely charcuterie table available along with our welcome beverages as people gathered, which was then refreshed for the happy hour (given we didn’t want the formality of served hors d’oeuvres). From the plated salads to the multiple entrees and sides, and ending with cookies, our friends and family shared that every dish was SO GOOD!
The entire staff was highly professional, serving and attending to us and our guests throughout the evening with warmth and efficiency. We had a fantastic experience working with The Fruited Plain and would do so again in a heartbeat – plenty more great food options and excellent service to experience!

hout the process of creating our perfect menu. I knew that i could rely on Drew and team to execute exactly what they promised. At the wedding, we received several compliments from our guests that the food was the best they ever had at a wedding, and we continue to receive compliments six months later. Some of our guests' favorites (and ours) were the mini taylor ham sandwiches, flank steak, and coq au vin! We have and will continue to recommend The Fruited Plain to all our family and friends!!!
My husband and I never write reviews, but we needed to make an exception.

nd my long work hours to ensure he met with me to make sure everything ran smoothly day of. We did a cocktail style wedding with small plates to make sure the party didn't stop. Drew was able to advise on good options to match the style of the wedding to make sure there was food for all of our guests and their dietary restrictions. He even went above and beyond to have my husband's favorite dessert, churros, available to us. Drew and his staff truly made our wedding so memorable. Every time we speak to our guests they rave about the food, sharing how every dish was superb. I have had multiple friends share they want to use our caterer. Drew and his team are remarkable, a great hire for any occasion.

erer.
We had a variety of options to choose from when it came to planning our menu. They helped us find something that would satisfy everyone's likes and allergies, and walked us through ordering enough of each dish chosen. I still ordered way too much food, but that was fine. The food was such a hit that when the word got out about leftovers the next day, people came by and offered to take some off of our hands.
10/10 recommend them for your wedding (or any event that needs catering, really.) You and your guests will not be disappointed.

er. We did a tasting and enjoyed it a lot, and the price quoted was very reasonable. When the pandemic interfered, postponing the event by a year was very easy. A year later, when the time came to prepare for the event (with COVID still overshadowing it), Drew helped us modify our plans as needed. This involved changing the format of the meal service and also dramatically reducing the number of guests.
Despite a lot of other organizations involved in planning the wedding being a bit difficult (i.e. our reception venue and our liquor supplier), Drew was always very calm and helped calm us down too. His team did a great job on the wedding reception itself-- the food was excellent and everything ran smoothly. Many of our guests have told us how delicious the food was and how our wedding reception was the most seamlessly-run one they have ever attended.
We cannot recommend them highly enough!

ndards and The Fruited Plain exceeded my expectations, allowing me the freedom to enjoy the special day. The food was delicious and well-presented, the staff was friendly and professional, and the set-up/clean-up was quick and efficient.
From the beginning, Drew, the owner, listened to our ideas and was receptive to our concerns. He made covid safety suggestions and his team implemented protective practices. Drew also arrived early in the day to scout the lay of the land, provided everything needed plus extra serving equipment at no additional cost, and crafted a well-planned non-dairy, gluten-free and nut-free menu so that all could enjoy.
The catering staff of servers and chef were polished professionals and downright sweet. From drinks & passed hors d’oeuvres to coffee & cake, these experts went above and beyond all night long by attending to the needs of the bride and groom and their grandparents, by maintaining a smooth orderly flow without ever being obtrusive, and by leaving our home cleaner than they found it (they swept & mopped!). They even took care of my elderly, disabled dog!
From our positive experience and the tons of praise piled on by our guests, it’s clear that The Fruited Plain caterers are exceptional. We’re grateful for their expertise and kindness and highly recommend them!

of our home and backyard, Drew made several good suggestions and helped define the rental inventory (which we handled on our own). The staff arrived on time, were very professional and took charge. As the dad and host, I anticipated having to provide some level of oversight since I never had done an event like this. The staff took care of everything and it went better than I had envidsioned. The food was outstanding, The passed appetizers were great and the guests couldn't get enough of them. Dinner was delicious and all courses timed perfectly. The staff was personable and a pleasure to work with. I'm looking forward to using them on an upcoming event in 2021.

Not only is the food good but the representation of the food is beautiful. I would 100% recommend them for any wedding or wedding event.

e hugely successful with The Fruited Plain delicious food making both days so special. Every appetizer from chicken & waffles, tempura shrimp, London broil crostini to individual veggie cups were outstanding and that’s just to name a few! Set up was equally beautiful with every detail taken care by wonderful staff that took care of every need, I never cleared a plate or cleaned anything. Rarely do you find a caterer where all the food taste great, entree dishes all served in silver chafing dishes were plentiful and highly recommend the chicken Francese, Penne vodka and Salmon dishes were all fabulous. We will definitely be using Drew & his staff for all our future parties!

eck could have been "hit or miss" because of the uncertainty of the weather. But Drew connected us with the right rental company and the heated tent was AMAZING!!! With 25% of our guests being vegetarians we needed a caterer who could deliver deliciousness to all our guests. Drew totally hit it! We opted for a family style luncheon and got raving reviews on the quality of the food. From the first contact email 12 months ago, to the last dish put away on wedding day, we felt we were in great hands with a consummate professional. Drew was flexible enough to accommodate some of our special requests, and because we were dealing with the company owner, decision-making was straight forward. On wedding day, his servers were professional, efficient and friendly. My kitchen was probably cleaner after they left than it was before they arrived! And if all that wasn't enough, honesty and integrity were also a key aspect of our working with Drew. He caught a staffing level mistake on our final invoice and personally delivered a refund check for the amount we had overpaid. Now THAT's someone I will be working with again, and recommending without hesitation to all my friends!

ing (our previous caterer backed out 2.5 months out), he helped make the whole process so easy for us. His professionalism and experience made such a difference when planning our DIY wedding. Drew was super responsive from the beginning and gave his recommendations throughout each of our decisions when needed. Our wedding guests LOVED the food and was perfect for our non-traditional style event. He made miracles that night and we couldn’t be more appreciative! His catering service has already been used again in a few events by our family and friends. I would definitely recommend hiring Drew or anyone from the Fruited Plain if you’re looking for excellent variety & quality food and for above and beyond service.

He really became a friend through the process. The staff Drew brought on site were the most friendly, helpful and fun people to work with. Our guests loved them and we felt so taken care of!

On the day of the wedding, I remember seeing Drew after our first look, and it was genuinely like seeing a friend at our wedding. We were just happy to see him and glad he was there. The entire team was helpful, friendly and professional.
Now...the important part....the food. Ohhhhh yeah. So good. The cocktail hour was amazing. Drew and his team concoct such delicious, and unique, food options that we had a hard time selecting!!! We went with a buffet option for our dinner and, again, the food was amazing and Drew's team kept everything running smoothly.
